I am a GUY from L.A. not girl. lol
PS: I met Michael in Santa Rosa, and he is a stand up dude. I met him in a parking lot to pick up some PV supplies, and when I stupidly handed him too much money, he was honest enough to point out my flaw and hand me the $10 back, after stopping me from leaving. He could have just taken it and I would have never known the difference. But he went out of his way to make sure I got my money back. I trust Michael and his concience fully.

WORD...This mod is obviously not for amatuers. This is an advanced mod that requires a devotion to the perfect vape/per the particular juice chosen. Some juices like higher watts, some don't. I believe the nay-sayer is not understanding the physics involved in "the perfect vape". I believe the variable voltage and flow is ESENTIAL to more advanced vapers. I think it is a great idea, and I hope I am selected to test such a fine device(I'm only sucking up a little. LOL).

Point taken... As I said - if the design has merit then it should stand. Merit in this case is in the eyes of the beholder. For general users, I would question it's merit (which is what I did).

Also...

Speaking of the knowledge of physics in terms of electrical/electronics and battery technologies - the general consumers won't have it. That's why a red flag went off when I saw that this design had a battery charging capability via a USB port. Safety in its design seems like an obvious must. One hopes the designer has sufficient qualifications for this task. That's why I mentioned it - for the general consumer.

USB charging like the Janty Stick ver1-3, Sit and Go PT, Janty USB eGo etc... This technology is redily available in many forms and has not been a problem yet. I think you worry a bit too much. And yes, I do understand the potential of LiIon overcharging/overdraw. I also understand that the people involved in this would not chose to take peoples safety in vain. You assume too much.

I assumed nothing - including the qualifications, or lack thereof, or the designers. That's why I mentioned it.

When it comes to chargers - things like proper design/engineering and product safety testing just seem to pop into me head. Perhaps misplaced... I don't know... But worth mentioning... Perhaps....

I disagree...You assume you are a better engineer than the designer, you also assume he is incompetent. Furthermore, you assumed that because you have no interest in the design of this mod that no one else would. You assume too much.

You infer too much. I stand by my comments about simplicity vs. complexity of design etc. I have no knowledge of and make no statement about the designers competence. He may know exactly what he is doing, but it is a fair question especially when the design includes a charging circuit. It's one thing for a simple box mod to contain nothing more than a simple battery and switch. It's another thing when it contains the ability to charge L-Ion batteries. This is especially true considering how the device might actually get used. Will the end user leave the unit charging in his/her car during hot/freezing weather? What other undesirable use circumstances might this device find itself in?

Would I buy this as a gift for a friend or my spouse with no knowledge of the competence of its design or safety testing? To them there view might be "a battery is a battery is a battery." Same goes for a charger. At least if it was built by a reputable manufacturer one would have some reasonable expectation that design and safety has been done due diligence. Has the competence of the design and safety already been addressed? If so I must have missed it.

Who said I had no interest in this mod. I looked at it didn't I? I gave it enough consideration to question and comment on its merits and potential issues. It appears that plenty has been said about its potential merits, but I thought other considerations also had value - especially to the more general consumer.

Again... Nothing was meant to flame... If the design has merit and value to the beholder then so be it. For me, I see flaws that bring its merit into question. If this had been a review it would have certainly been appropriate to bring those flaws up. In this case, a review doesn't seem to be necessary. Those things that to me are flaws appear to be obvious. Those flaws of course are just my opinion (which I stand by). If the designer disagrees that's his prerogative. If he want's to view what I've posted as things to consider great. If not, then that's great too.

My point is, this thread is intended for those who are interested in Beta testing the product. Nothing more. I think it is poor form to come accross as subjectively as you have over a mod you have made it obvious does not do it for you(complaints over the basic design. ie. tube feeding and variable voltage). Why bother? If you don't like what you see, and cannot create something better, then move on. This thread doesn't appear to apply to you, since you would not want to use it yourself...let alone give it to someone else. This is a thread for people who ARE interested in the product, not the naysayers. Your involvement in this thread, IMHO, is confrontational and nothing else.

If you have no interest in this product and already made your point.. there is no need for further discussion about the topic... please understand this is a supplier thread and certain etiquette should be followed... and judging by the OP this is being open for "Beta" testing there are sub-forums in place for reviews .. which threads are usually created about products in hand...

lets keep the integrity of this thread intact please

Thank you

Well, since we are back to asking questions about the design of the unit, would there be a way to incorporate a led light that would stay on until the required 2 drops of liquid fell on the atty? When I was testing it at the fest and Michael told me to do a slow 6 count for the 2 drops to come out, it took a bit to get used to. It might be easier for people if this were possible to insure the required amount of e-liquid got onto the atty.

If the micro pump has to be held for a few seconds maybe install a one touch feature? Hit the button once and it'll dispense for 6 seconds? Will probably save you tons of customer service calls where you have to tell them to count to 6. Not sure how much work it'll be to add this feature.

A 1 touch might be better than an LED so you don't have to look at the box (while driving).

Maybe a cut-out for the switch so people don't accidentally hit the switch twice and the 6 seconds resets.

Another option is have the button fire off 1 drip at a time (3 secs, if 6 secs = 2 drips) for more control.

And wow that was the most random posts before.

Hahaha going completely right field, have some sort of computer/phone (somebody said before iphone) connection so we can track how much we vape. How many drips.

I'm sure if we did some fancy math calculations we can figure out roughly how much mg of nicotine we took a day (from the feeding system). What time you vape the most. Random info like that.

Well all the computer geek stuff depends on what sort of circuity you using. Here's to wishing.

Just an FYI: Different liquids/blends have different viscosity and therefore, flow rates. So no 2 liquids will be the same.

Hate adding costs, than some sort of mechanism to find out when a drip occurred?

Hypothetically, add a waste-gate of sorts on the end of the tube. When it opens, have the switch cut out.

Only problem I can see with that is if the juice is too fluid. How strong is the micro pump? You could make a plunger with fine holes that allow air to pass through but the juice will get stuck. Attach it to the end of the hose. When enough juice gets stuck the plunger is pushed out and drops the juice. Once the plunger opens have the switch cut out. Some sort of spring to push it back, or if its incorporated right, I wouldn't mind reloading the plunger myself knowing I'm getting consistent drippage.

Or some way to view the drops. Extend the drip cartridge and add a plastic surround?

The feature list has to end somewhere!

Really. lol.

Hahaha I know but features sell.

At least I'm not asking for some sort of atty wetness detection. I do have a few ideas on that though.

Hey I wouldn't mind a big box, if its jam packed of goodies.

Well if the mod becomes more noob friendly, it'll open up the product to a bigger market (instead of just the experienced users).

Imagine just for a moment, an atty wetness detecting, true auto drip feed when dry with VV.

Well back to dreaming.
