Nice looking mod, but that price jump + "discount" is sketchy. I personally don't see the value in a case that costs as much as some other mods, but I'm probably not the target market.

The case was built just for the sake of building a case that high quality. The same general idea of having the Apex Alpha line backed by a 10 warranty. The case is built to last a lifetime. It certainly is not for everyone, and is not a profitable item to sell. They are a work of art though IMO, milled from a single piece aluminum... I have never seen anything like it.

The real motivation behind the case was a "total solution" something that would house everything you could possible need to vape for the day, in a durable, high quality case.

There are so many inexpensive options for PV storage, I ahve tried many and they often end up in the garbage, or just are not designed specifically for PV storage. This case is a option for those that want something super high quality built specifically for there mod.

Cheers

Yes they did! My husband and I were going to purchase one but now that I can see how they do business, NO THANKS

Thank you for you interest in our product. Our business strategy is to supply the customer with an valuable product and maintain a level of profit that allows us to continue to stay in business. It is obviously working because the new Alpha products are in high demand. Although they are being manufactured 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the demand is almost overwhelming. People that know quality also know what quality costs and are willing to pay for it.

Yeh I've seen/owned a lot of mods in the short time I've been vaping.

As I was typing this, my Apex Alpha Arrived!

Here are some pictures of me unboxing the unit.. Enjoy :) It's a light lighter than I expected, a lot. For this being the UltraMax it's also a lot smaller than I expected, both very good things. I will have to wait to use until later on, but will give some first impression reviews in the Innovapor Subforum.

Great to see that yours has arrived. Can't wait to hear what you think about it.

I have a question about the Apex Mod. Can you keep hitting it back to back and vape and vape and the Res will keep supplying enough liquid to the Atty without going dry until the Res needs to be refilled ? Thanks !

Great question. What you're getting at is the RES porous ceramic wick's ability to respond to a constant drain. I wish the answer was straightforward, but in reality the RES will behave differently when full vs half full vs near empty. Keep in mind that the ceramic is constantly trying to equalize the fluid it holds between all of it's pores. Surface tension/capillary action is always balancing.

Based on my experience the RES will let you chain vape until you get to a relatively low volume of fluid. I haven't quantified exactly what this low volume of fluid is but you can tell when the you get there by sensing that the RES is trying to "catch up" if you know what I mean. The nice thing is that you can set the device down, let the ceramic equalize, and then pick it up and start vaping again.

Also note that each RES behaves slightly differently based it's size and form factors.

cappadoc, you are correct you will notice a price increase across the Apex product line. What we would have loved to do is be able to afford to give away some Alpha units for people to try out, unfortunately InnoVapor operates under very narrow margins. You'll notice how we offer a standing 20% discount to the forum, the largest standing, constant discount as far as I know.

The compromise was to offer the Alpha and accessories at cost for the first day. We avoided advertising that because you can imagine if we sold out of all the product at cost, we would be in trouble. We felt this would reward those who were willing to give it a try right out of the gate and get some product out there for people to test and use.

The pricing of the Apex line is now what it is, and what it will stay at.

I think if you take the following into consideration you will see what a value the Apex products are.
1) All of the Apex Alpha Kits are discounted 5% on the website (are "kit discount")
2) All Apex Kits ship for Free with USPS Priority Mail. And these are real kits, with a box, manual, accesories (including a Cape Cod Cleaning cloth etc.) So they ship in a box. Shipping costs us around $10, sometimes more. So it is a real value.
3) The forum coupon ECF20 takes another 20% off the price.

All together the forum folks get 25% off the kit with free priority shipping. Innovapor has a single goal. Deliver the best product we can at an outstanding value tot he forum community. You also get what you pay for, and the Apex Products make no sacrifice for quality. Every decision that went into making the devices was centered around building the highest quality product right here in the USA. I think you will find they are still an amazing deal for an extremely high quality product.

Cheers!

I know I should have bought it the first day! However, I do appreciate the fact they put this out there. It has no user reviews and this is a fair way to reward the early adopters. I still think it's a fair price assuming it works as advertised...

OK, next question, I use mostly all VG liquids, how does the Res deal with all VG liquids ? and thank you for your answer.!

VG is what I use, it works great. My testing was based on VG fluid as well because it is more viscous, and thus results in more conservative assumptions based on testing results.

One more, do you plan on making any higher capacity Reservoirs for the Apex, like a 6ml capacity in the future ?

It's worth considering. The Apex Alpha line was initially driven by a very strong desire to make the absolutely most compact device possible. As time goes on people will notice that these are some of the smallest devices, if not THE smallest devices, when comparing apples for apples (10440 device vs 10440 device, 14500 device vs. 14500 device, etc).

That said, I'm definitely open to design special high capacity editions! If only there was more time in a day..

Thank you! I am glad you appreciate what we were trying to do. N8T posted some videos of the device in action, and I believe he has more in works. Also people should be receiving the kits bought on the first day so hopefully some first impressions start to get posted. It definitely works and I think the level of quality will really come through when people get this in there hands.

Cheers,

Question, where can I get the 306 adapter sleeve?

These are being built right now. It took a little while to source the right USA made high temperature plastic that was FDA approved (I am sure I am not the only person to melt a delrin 306 drip tip!). We have the material and these should be rolling off the machine soon. We will update as soon as it is available. The PTFE we are using has an operating temp to 450 F so it should be a vast improvement over the currently available delrin products. Should be worth the wait.

Cheers,

SH

They're coming out of the screw machine right now, and will be available on innovapor very soon.

Ok cool. I'm out of 510 3.5ohm attys, and only have 306's 3.5 ones..

Plenty of LR 510 ones though so I got the batts charging now...

I like that the RES screws on reversed, this way you can't over-tighten it :) Now this battery needs to charge faster!!! :)

Excellent! I'm glad you like it so far. From what I can tell you are the first one to receive it on the forum. Very interested in your impressions!
