Spreadsheet. For me, it is calculating .10 higher than actual.
Micro using .24 gauge Kanthal A1 - 3/32 bit.

Yeah I'm also getting 0.10 higher than actual.
I took a look at the math and it's assuming 5mm legs, it's using the ID of the coil rather than the center line, and also it's assuming coils legs are ending 180 deg off, pointing in two different directions.
I have one I made specifically for touching coils. You guys can have a copy as long as I can get some feed back on it.
My micro coils always touch and the spreadsheet is pretty spot on for me..
Odd..
Well it's a fun little spreadsheet to play with at any rate.
I like it a lot! Much less clunky than the other. Really like how the measurements are updated both in inches and millimeters. I couldn't seem to get "Coil Type" (light yellow field) to work though.
Edit: Just figured out it updates on its own according to wick thickness! awesome.

Thanks Cucco,I PM'd you.![]()
@Steam_Bern, dig the Battery Life Calculator portion. Is it bad that I'm getting <40 pulls per 18650? haha
Yeah I made the same assumption about the ELA Strata; however David had pointed out the juice well extends into to the telescoping tube. I trust he has looked at it from all angles.
My ELA makes a 650 Poldiac feel light, it's even heavier than a Paps X. I welcome a big chunk of American made steel.
