Update, all pending Workhorse orders (I think there are about 8 of them) will go out today.

We'll be putting up some more WorkHorses today with one little caveat, the top post will be brass and we'll send you out a Palladium plated one free of charge when they come in (they are out at the platters but they are backed up). So you'll get a brass and palladium plated top post :)

never got a shipping notice but had a very nice surprise at the Post office today, and i'm very pleased with the Work-Horse & set-up was simple; my screwdriver was sorta thin on the end and wouldn't hold the screw when trying to install the switch screw after adjusting my throw so i just added a bit of alum foil to the end and it held the screw nice and tight for easy installation ; thank you very much!
i look forward to purchasing another of your mods soon.

It is a perfect match with my SvoeMesto Kayfun litev2... So not a mirror polish but not a deep brushed either.

Great! I have a sat22 headed my way, and I have nothing but GG's, which are all highly polished, and I wanted something that was affordable/authentic/high quality, and would match :) Looks like a steal of a deal to me!

@forcedfuel50 Will there be a way for early adopters to get a palladium plated contact? Pretty please.

As Vaptamist mentioned, all orders that went out previously had Palladium Plated Contacts already :) It's only the orders placed since yesterday that will have a Palladium plated bottom switch post and a brass top post and we'll send out, free of charge, a Palladium plated top post when they come in.

Here is my update on running the workhorse at super low ohms (.3 and below). I know this mod wasn't made to do super sub ohm but with one modification I am happy to report that it is beasting with the best of my mods. The upgrade? Magnetic switch. I had some magnets laying around from my Nemesis. The magnets I used were the ones from the Atmomixani website https://eshop.atmomixani.gr/en/by-atmomixani/206-nemesis-switch-magnets.html but I'm sure any knockoff Nemesis magnetic switch upgrade will work. The reason I went to magnets was the thin stock spring just wasn't made to handle the load I was dropping on it. I would get occasional misfires and some odd vibration in the switch. I will say with the stock spring, this problem was helped by adding one washer to the switch to decrease the throw but I was still experiencing some voltage loss. With the magnets it feels like there is very little to no voltage loss. I don't have an atty meter to test the difference but I can say it is substantial. Here are a few pics.

Currently I am running my 454 Big Block with a .22ohm coil of 24g Royal Wire. (USA made setup yay!) This thing is hitting like a true performance mod now. Once again I would like to thank the good people at Super T for making this wonderful piece at such a good price. Hopefully in the future you guys will offer a magnetic upgrade for your customers because whether you meant to or not you have designed a perfect switch housing for a magnetic upgrade.

im very happy with my workhorse.. i just ordered a 18650 :vapor:

on my 18500 im using the purple efest flat tops..

perfect fit for these batteries is 1 big & 1 thin oring at bottom...

the button throw was extremely short with the brass spacer (if i set my mod down on my microfiber cloth it would actually self fire ) so i swapped the brass spacer for 2x washers.. perfect throw for me... love love my workhorse.. Photo Sep 16, 9 19 12 AM.jpg

That is curious. The magnets don't touch when depressing (the contact post hits the batteries first, before the mangets touch), so there is no conducting nature to switching to magnets. Are you sure it's not a placebo effect or that the reason it's working is because it was disassembled and reassembled? When you eliminate the spring you eliminate one of two grounding paths. Mechanical mods ground via two paths, friction with the button to the tube and via the spring, when you remove the spring, you are left with only friction to complete the ground. I'm just trying to determine the science behind it. If its working for you though, that is awesome, I sure can source some magnets easy enough and they are dirt cheap.

Also, is there any chance you could you measure those magnets for me (outer diameter, inner diameter and thickness)? I'll order some up.
I'm not able to measure them at the moment but I'm pretty sure they are 13mm x .75mm. I think that is the standard nemi size. As far as placebo effect I can say with 100% confidence that this is not the case. I am not an engineer and only have a very crude understanding of electrical current. I do know that voltage can get lost in the spring and the as you lower the atty resistance that loss gets magnified. You can clearly see that based on the tests done here Mod Voltage Tests. I am so happy you are listening to your customers to make the best possible product. I think for standard resistances (around 1ohm) the spring is more than adequate for regular use. More and more people like myself have moved to drippers and are using very low resistance (.4ohm and below) and for this application I think magnets or possibly a solid copper or silver plated spring seem to hold up better. I know you offer the HD spring and that may work just as well, I just was working with what I had on hand. Because of my lack of knowledge I can't give the exact reason but I can say that in practice the magnets are yielding a much better result than the stock spring. I hope this helps in some way for future projects. I know I will be a Super T customer for as long as I am vaping.
