Introducing Torpedo Tanks.

I am thinking it will be $50 in SS and Poly of $60 in SS and Pyrex. Feel free to ask as may questions as you want ED.

Sounds great to me, I'll start saving now then when I get to punching my own I can sell my old slotted ones and other tanks to pay for this and then just buy regular SS cartos. Will be so happy to be able to do this myself. I "think" I found my "go to" setup for a while now.

With the punch jig, if something happens to the punch I know you said you will have replacements, but will we be able to replace the punch ourselves, or is this even something (actual punch tool) that is regularly sold at hardware stores and a standard size? I've seen one old video where it looks like a really skinny screwdriver with a nail end and the other end is struck with a hammer.

The 801 fusion is the same diameter as a 510 but the difference is the bottom

im worried that the top of the cart will not reach the top cap. maybe I can send you a new 801 fusion to test different pyrex tube sizes and see what'll work best? PM me and ill gladly send one your way. i should have them in a few days. i just ordered more. the one i have now is in heavy rotation with my tanks.

I have to say, I think the fitment of the tube on the SS parts is too loose. When I unscrew the tank from my SB, I have to pinch the very bottom of the tank (which is rather awkward), otherwise the tubing comes loose. I preferred the tighter fit of the aluminum ones.

Cool, sounds like a tool I'd order.. I've been increasingly curious about the cartos.

On a side note, I know the Torpedo Tanks resemble a torpedo, I know obvious..but what caught my attention today was I searched for Depth Charge and found the below image, very curious now how this Depth Charge tank will look, kinda excited

I have never been a CE2 or carto lover and I have to say-I am really liking my CE2's now-the flavor comes through wonderfully. Drinks the juice, but for the flavor-this is so worth it. Might have to get the smaller version now.
Can I just order the pyrex for the smaller tube and it will fit the top and bottom of my existing tank? I am thinking…..yes?
Will wait for the unveiling of the depth charge to place order-hoping for colors of the pyrex tanks to happen before the time comes to place order.

Just to let everyone know in about two weeks I have a new diamond bladed glass saw coming. Once it arrives the consistency of the Pyrex tubes will improve and the price will drop. Also anyone who wants to trade in there hand cut Pyrex for one of the new ones will have the option to for the cost of shipping.

We are still working on a big order as soon as it is done we will start on the Depth Charge. Hopefully next week. I will call my friend that is working on the Jig tonight after work.

I did take the fam out last night, it was to see another modder/machinist but I did take them out.
