OK, business talk, what's your experience with tanks? I've never had one, so it's a honest to god question. I do like the idea of them, and am hoping that it's not going to be an accessory that gets put away in a corner.

I love my tanks and they have made vaping a much better (and less hassle) experience. You just fill it up and you're good to go for quite awhile. Jonah does beautiful work, so I know his tanks are going to be awesome and I can't wait to have one to put on my Provari...they will look great together!

Yet it's not long that it starts to hit some dry spots, and then we gotta wait a bit for the coils to get soaked again by the juice suspended in the poly-fill. However, it doesn't take that many more drags before it keeps hitting dry spots again...a dual-coil is just not as consistent as a Boge LR single-coil Carto or the slightly better IKV LR 901 single-coil Carto (or the 1.7ohm single-coil Resurrector). Unless you vape on an eGo mega dual-coil (fat)carto at around 4.2v-4.5v, dual coils don't keep up too well with serious vaping.
A DC tank system just keeps the carto wet all the time, because the carto is continually surrounded by liquid (in the tank) which slowly keeps being drawn through these little punched-out holes on the carto to keep the carto's poly-fill wet all the time. This way, your carto keeps vaping just like it was when you first filled it, only much more consistently (essentially, no dry spots and away you go, vape, vape vape).
Instead of topping off your dual-coil every 10 drops or so to keep it nice & wet, the tank continually keeps your carto wet for you, and better than I could myself with constant top-offs. And it's real easy to refill a DC tank...just pour more liquid into it. No more waiting for your carto to soak up your top-offs little by little or drop by drop.
Thus a DC tank keeps your carto wet and performing as it ought to, consistently.
I started on tanks soon after I began vaping. I went from one mediocre tank to another, and spent more on these disposable mediocre tanks than I did cartos. I tweaked them and it got a little better, but then all that high-maintenance was just becoming a hassle. A Map Tank is a step up from that for sure, and Jonah's Torpedo is another couple steps up from a MAP.
Instead of using CE2's as they come, or tweaked, it is far easier to just stick a CE2 into a tank than to continually tweak and refill CE2's. However, not many CE2 tanks are that well made and/or easy to remove/replace a CE2 in them, let alone fill them. Jonah's Torpedo Tank is as easy as it gets to refill AND replace a CE2 in his tanks. A real cinch and a huge time saver, plus it's the best crafted CE2 tank out there by a mile, and the best looking too. In comparison, the MAP tank is a pain in the azz.
Yet it's even easier to just slide a carto into a DC tank. And being that Jonah has already proved himself the better craftsman up against the longest-standing tank out there (MAP's), and has done so rather quickly (weeks) and as if it was a piece of cake. It didn't take Jonah months and years to "finally" make or develop a "good" tank like the others out there...nay, it took Jonah just a few short weeks to make/develop a GREAT tank right from the get go, which we saw him improve and make even better (his v2) in a matter of days.
This guy is a genius and doesn't mess around producing crappy or even mediocre tanks. His is already the Rolls Royce of CE2 tanks...and THAT's why we're so excited to see once again how he's gonna blow yet another class of tanks away--the DC tanks--with his new DepthCharge.
It's been a real joy to watch Jonah's developments and craftsmanship at work. He's definitely got our attention here. So we're essentially just waiting for his next line of Rolls Royces to roll out the door in the next several days so we can get one of those too. Hec, his TorpedoTank already looks awesome on my Megalodon, and I'm excited to get his DepthCharge too.

Or in terms of lenses, a Carl Ziess lens, a Leica lens, definitely above a Schneider or a Rodenstock or Canon or Nikon lenses for sure.
In short, Jonah's Tanks are like a classic Hasselblad at Canon Rebel prices.
And that's certainly worth the wait.

Just wanted to drop in to say thank you. Got my 306 ss drip tip today. The machining is absolutely flawless, fits snug and does not leak. Superb job my friend I love it and can't wait for you to come out with other styles. I'd love to see a more traditional contoured shape one!

as one just recently getting into tanks, are you saying the Depth Charge is for DC's only?
Is there a non ce2 Jonah Torpedo for reg carto's too?
Or are any going to be interchangeable?
I like the idea of Pyrex tube... although it sounds like they are "iffy" as far as fit goes.

I am glad you like it Brad. I am working on a couple more designs, including a more traditional contoured one. I probably won't get them out for a couple of months as I need to finish a couple other things first.

From everything I've read from Jonah, I believe the Depth Charge Tank will be for regular cartos, with the option for a longer tube maybe, to fit XL carto's. The Depth Charge will work with any good quality cartomizer, it will come in to lengths regular and XL. The regular is for Boge, IkenVape, ect and the XL is for dual coil and mega sized cartos.
A couple of things to go over.
1. Because there is no bevel on cartomizers that are not cut. They will damage the o-rings when you put them into a tank. A simple answer for this is put a small contoured drip tip on and use it to start the cartomizer into the tank. I am using a Super-T shorty it works like a charm.
2. I have found a way to use the Depth Charge with 901 atomizers. If you put a 901 atomizer in the short tank with a 510-901 adapter on the bottom of it. You can move the tank just enough to feed, then stop feeding the atomizer. You have to move the tank into the not feeding position to vape. Then back into the feeding position to refill. But so far 2 tanks of 2 ml without a drop spilled.
