There is nothing to worry about here, everyone that has purchased will have warranties.

In order for P4Y to deny warranties based on where you purchased from, they would have had to release an Authorized Retailer list BEFORE people purchased from retailers. They could deny warranties for units purchased in the future from certain retailers, but as far as I can tell this is all a bunch or false rumors going around.

Just because a certain person tells people they talked to P4Y and heard this and that, does not make it true at all! Until P4Y releases this information themselves then it is just rumors. Either way they would still have to honor the warranties for units purchased up until their announcement. Otherwise they would just be setting themselves up for all kinds legal ramifications.

Turns out i am probably the most gullible of anybody , tough to admit that but i think it's only fair to do so.

Well as fun as it is to read about warranty conspiracy theories and misguided political theory..

I have a question a question about the actual device.
Im sure it has been brought up already BUT I recall reading that the ipv tends to be optimistic when reading ohms and reads up to .2ohm higher, can any owners comment?

Cheers

Voluntary Recall - ipv V2 by Pioneer For You (Greenleaf)

*EDIT* See below for details of the incident

To Whom It May Concern:

JJVapes is voluntarily recalling all IPV V2 mods sold to our customers due to a malfunction found to overheat an internal electrical component, causing smoke to be released through the bottom “vent holes” of the unit. On August 4th, 2014 a JJVapes team member experienced this issue while using their personal unit, only a couple of weeks after the product’s release. We would like to be clear, this is NOT a recall issued by the manufacturer. The manufacturer has been notified, and we are awaiting a response.

Though this may have been a fluke event, we are asking any and all customers who purchased this device from JJVapes to please return it for a full refund, while more testing is conducted on the IPV V2. If you currently own an IPV V2 that was not purchased from JJVapes, we ask that you please use caution and care, as with any vaping device.

Thanks,

The JJVapes Team

0.22ohm on 510 meter, 0.6ohm on fluke(-0.4 for leads), reads 0.2 on IPV2...but I had an issue with this build when I first received it.

At first ipv was showing it at 0.3ohm.. but the next day, my meters were reading at 0.3ohms...0.3 exactly on 510 meter.. couple days later, reading 0.22 again.. could easily contribute that to gunk on coil and atmospheric conditions. Although it was in my house, they're not the same all the time.

Hopefully the discussion that started from phil's review continues...

to end the elev8 drama, silver units arrived today and are shipping. Black are in customs. Alot ipv2 come with a blank warranty card, so there is no way you will not be able to use your warranty. Picture from elev8 site attached. Please end the drama, its bad for everyone...

If news comes out that they were banned, they are still receiving units as anyone can from any name.. You will still be able to use your warranty if needed because there are no serials. They are not out to beat anyone and all of these was nonsense. If anyone has legit questions about the IPV 2 or 3 use the other thread i started as this on is pretty much off the tracks and destroyed.

Order status of silver IPV2 from elev8 changed to shipped this morning. Order # 61xx.

Tracking number just shows as "Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS" as of right now.

We'll see if they've actually shipped the units tomorrow morning I suppose...

I talked to the owner today he is shipping them for sure tomorrow.

To give some more thing to the discussion about prices...read the post on the Facebook page.

There was written OFFICIAL that every vendor who would sell under 109 dollars would not be shipped any longer and gets his money back.

I think that will clarify a bit more, don't you?

So even if eleven8 now got a shipping, I'm pretty sure this behavior will have consequences.

And oddly, one post down from that is a video and a link suggesting to buy it at elev8vape.com .... :?:

If this is true, it's going to piss off a lot of consumers who preordered prior to that "announcement"...
