Is it safe to use mechanical mods - to subohm?

I love this guy. He is just like the rest of us, except he has the money and resources to obtain some of the finest authentic mechanical mods and Drippers ever produced. He pretty much did exactly what we all wished we could've done when we got into this hobby... Buy every friggin mech and Dripper that we see. So what if he had someone else wrap his coils and build his decks. I would too if I had his money. Why can't people just believe that he has as much equipment as he states? He's not trying to give advice or make a statement. He's asking a simple question. The replies that I see here are just rude and through it all, Tygerlovesdeb let it roll right off his back and has been very polite in his responses about it. Why should he show pics of every single mod and Dripper he owns? Just the pics he's posted is impressive. If you're not gonna answer his question about the safety on sub-ohms and mech mods, at least congratulate him on his collection and move on to the next thread.

I thank you for your kind words. I have repeatedly stated in this tread that I did not start it to brag about mods, rda's or cars. I did not start it to proclaim that I am rich or some expert on mechanical mods and rda's. I did not post pictures to cause anyone envy or to snub my nose at anyone who doesn't have the resources to go out an buy a bunch of authentic mechanical mods.

I simply just wanted to gain some more information from people who have been doing it a lot longer than me about how to subohm safely. In the process, I showed off some of my favorite mods and talked a little about how I got in to this hobby about four months ago. I lead an interesting life and those who know me will all attest that I am very generous and kind hearted person. I don't look down on anyone and have worked hard all of my life. I really love this hobby and I sincerely enjoy seeing other peoples mods and learning things from them about vaping.

I call the publisher an editor. And since he or she has not returned the check I sent to their administrative contact address (whois data), I am assume that he or she will cash it. For the record, I hate PayPal and would not use it for any reason!

I never read the thread you linked. I sent a message when I first joined that was never replied to. So I looked up the administrative contact information on whois and sent a check their about two weeks ago when I joined. I have a couple of my own websites and generally, I have been contacted numerous times through whois information and have no reason to think my check wont reach them. If they don't want to accept my generous donation, that is certainly their right.

You have made a great point. I quit because my wife got tired of chewing tobacco in our sheets and because my first wife died at 57 years old of a stroke in February of this year. I was smoking three packs of Marboro menthols a day and probably was headed to a stroke of my own. I only use about four of my mods as well. I really like my Chi Megan, which was my first and I often vape my Steampunk but for the most part, I toke on my Hexohm and an MVC Overdose the majority of the time.

I can't really say what got in to me about buying so many mods. A lot of it came down to trying to help an acquaintance of mine who is having a hard time in keeping the doors open to his new vape shop. My first 15 mods and about 20 Tugboats came from him. Then I started trying to build feedback for my old ladies eBay account and I started purchasing some clone RDA's to see how they compared, ran in to a couple of guys in Florida and Hawaii who are in to the authentic mod business who sold me some really nice mods and hooked me up with several Filipino mod makers who sold me a bunch more. Than one night I was at my friends shop and made the remark that I thought I had a second to none collection, only to have him tell me about the Slug mod and a guys collection in Houston.

So he hooked me up with the guy in Houston and I drove over to see his collection. While I was there, him and his wife told me that their infant desperately needed an operation. Looking at the sick child, I felt really charitable so I offered him $25,000 for his collection. He was in tears as him and his wife packed it up so I took her aside and asked her which one meant the most to him. She immediately told me it was the Slug, so I left that one with him and gave her another check for $25,000 so that they could get their baby whatever she needed.

Then on trip to Alabama, I stopped in to a mod shop to get some juice because I spilled my Sucker Punch all over the floor of my Ferarri while racing a cop in Alabama (he had one of new Dodge Challengers with the police interceptor package) and learned from the owner he was going to be closing his doors. I asked him how much he wanted for all of his inventory thinking I could help my struggling friend here and ended up buiying out his shop inventory for $87,000.

I have mellowed out recently after buying two mods that have been eluding me since I went off the deep end buying these things, and I am now just waiting on a preorder of three of the new copper slugs and a the shipment of the last Enigma to arrive. I don't think I will be buying any more mods for some time to come, though the more I toke on the Fortune of the Four Gods mod and use the new Vulcan RDA, I am thinking about buying the whole company that makes them because I would like to take some of my own ideas and bring them in to fruition. Whether I make a buck at it or not, is not as important to me as seeing what I could come up on my own.
If you're who you say you are (and I've got no reason not to believe you) I wonder if we know any of the same people. Does Joe Moran ring a bell with you?

I was at a loss of words (technically still am); but, this comment made me LoL and get strange looks from my co-worker[emoji106]

For the record, I never caught on to the original comment ad I not sure I understand yours. Hopefully, both comments were made in a positive manor. My father lived in Benton Arkansas.

That is not a name that rings a bell right off the bat. I am pretty close to about six people who have been in the business a long time. I talk to them regularly. I have met a whole bunch of others but do not talk to them on a regular basis. I bought tickets to the upcoming vapor convention in Houston on the 8th of this month. I am hoping to make some good contacts there and hopefully pick up some first run mods for my collection.

No, not negative at all! Just the mental image of all the penny pinchers passing out at once! I actually saw this thread yesterday but reserved comment until I had more information. As for bragging or acting superior, I didn't take it that way at all. Jealousy on the other hand...well that's just an ugly side of me that keeps popping up. Congrats on your beautiful collection and welcome to the family!

There is a group here that tries to keep their spending on vaping to a dollar a day. Yes, it was a joke.

Wishful thinking. He's my B-I-L and in the bond business in Austin. He runs with a fairly influential Texas crowd. It was through his oldest son that I got to meet Rick Perry's daughter (who he was dating at the time). Would have loved to hang out and talk gear!

I do find this thread quite entertaining ... only because I know it is heading towards a pic of the 200+ authentic mods ... hopefully, shown together with one of the 3 Ferraris.

It's like a good book.

I too chuckled at FlamingoTutu's post (just as dchemist did). It's all good.

Here is the thread on the Dollar-A-Day Group. It's a support group for budget-minded vapers. I don't know how successful members have been but they are probably working on strategies for the upcoming Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales.

We all need some help at times (although I have not yet joined) as this forum is loaded with enablers!:)

We have an administrative office address? Now I'm really curious. What is this address you mailed your check to? Has the check been cashed? You can easily verify this.

You have several websites too? And you send paper checks to online forums? And you don't know what happens to those checks?

I don't even like googling stuff I am looking for myself.

This thread is entertaining enough for me ... when I saw you post you own 200 Authentic mods and 250 Authentic drippers ... and you're racing cops in your Ferrari.

I'm like ... I gotta see this for real :)
