I'm in the minority around here. I vape nic sometimes for the TH but mostly I vape zero nic juice. It's not addictive for me.

Just for the TH, eh? ;) Weened myself down to 0mg for a couple of months and thought I was doing fine without it. Tried a wee bit of it again to see how it was and found I felt a ton better with a bit of nic in there. So yeah, I can do without it, I just don't care to.

Hey Flamingo, it's been a while :). When I haven't used any nic for a week or so and vape 3 mg for a while, I feel the boost much like I used to get from caffeine. But just for a couple of hours and after that it's gone. If I try it again the next few days I get nothing from it. I notice nothing else from it.

I know, I'm weird

It has been awhile. Hope all is well with you. Two kids now?

I use 0-3mg and sometime 4.5. I know, living high off the hog there. I don't get any type of buzz from it. I didn't notice it when I was off the nic but I guess I was slightly depressed and sometimes fought the urge to be irritable when things went haywire here. When I tried the nic again though, I found that I just felt normal again. It was fantastic. My blood pressure also dropped like a rock too. Win/win, though I am bummed to sort of be tied to it again. It's not the dependency as with cigarettes but nic does have benefits too so not going to complain loudly.

Nicotine IS addictive but no worse for you than caffeine in moderation. And probably less bad for you than Red Bull and such. They should sin tax Red Bull if they do Nicotine in vaping.

I've said all along that if they are going to vilify nic, they should do the same with caffeine too. How many people whine that they can't do anything without their morning cup of coffee yet yet treat someone who needs their morning cig in a derogatory manner?

Nicotine doesn't seem to be addictive until it's mixed with BT's toxic soup. It's the toxic soup that ought to be banned.

I have used nic through patches and gum...still have not been able to fully shake it...I did once for 2 years....so not only through tobacco...The royalgate writing is one eighth "truths" at best.

As everyone is different and addictions come in many different forms, you may be one of those that have a stronger addiction to nicotine.
Beck is one of those that baffles the heck out of me. He vapes such a high nic liquid  Has for a very long time. While others are able to cut back and actually leave the nic behind. That is what is truly marvelous about vaping! We can tailor what we need for each of us, as individuals.

From what I understand, with the studies that are being done with regards to nicotine and Alzheimer's and other disorders, those given the nic and then removed from the nic, have no withdrawal symptoms. But, those are people that have never been addicted to smoking either.

It is possible, that combined with whatever the cocktail in cigs are, has made us more susceptible to being addicted in various degrees to nicotine. And another possibility, we were predisposed to the addiction, hence why we took up the habit.

Which brings up another possibility, are we addicted to the habit more than the nic itself?

Very well, thanks and I hope the same for you and yours :)

Grandkids, twin boys. Double the trouble, but they're only 9 months old now so trouble is limited to screaming in stereo. Give it time though, LOL.

Of course nicotine is addictive, some studies suggest that it's more addictive than {Other stuff}. It's the only reason I smoked, was able to quit using Snus, started smoking again, and am now vaping. That said, it's an alkaloid like most of the chemicals that we love, but probably most similar to caffeine as far as mental, physical and health effects.

That's a myth. The only reason it seems as though they are more addictive than {other stuff} is they are available Legally at any gas station, grocery store etc. Harder to ignore when you can walk in and just ask for a pack at the checkout.

They (the powers that be that would like to have smoking wiped off the face of the planet) were very quick to get that lie out there. Say something over and over and over again, people tend to believe it.

I remember when "you" were expecting. Glad they are healthy and thriving. :)

He is amazing. I think he's immune to nic. Actually, I think he is proof that nic isn't as poisonous as we are lead to believe it is :p

:D

Addiction is complicated, you don't even need to intake a substance to cause addiction in some people, yet others seem to be immune to addictions that affect so many of us like smoking.

I'm still amazed I can vape nic when I want without getting addicted after being so addicted to cigarettes. I really don't think I was addicted to the habit either, I think it was the chemical cocktail. It was hard for me to switch to vaping but I was motivated so I hung in. I don't think nic really helped me with switching, but the only way to find out for sure is to get myself addicted to cigs again and then try the switch to vaping with no-nic.

And that ain't gonna happen !! so it will forever be a mystery to me :)

A combination I think. I was annealing some wire for a coil today with a bic lighter and got a VERY strong urge to have a cig.... Grabbed my clearo of 16 mg tobacco flavor and fought it off.

No they do not want to wipe it out for THEY are addicted to the tax income from it so they can spend more of our money.

There are hard core Anti's that DO want to wipe it off the face of the planet. Then you have the second tier (or first depending on how you look at it) that say they want it to go away, while secretly wanting to keep the smokers, smoking. Gotta protect that cash cow somehow.

Which is why sates are trying to slap taxes onto everything vape related at up to 90%. Cigarettes just aren't selling like they used to.

Of course it is addictive and I am addicted, regardless of what the activists preach...
It will be taxed because tobacco products are an easy tax to justify and addicts will keep buying substances they are addicted to, even if it is taxed...

Got to say again, I do admire your never say die attitude. At what point does nicotine become addictive? More or less than an eggplant?
