Well... promised myself when these first came out I would get one. Sent in my order today. Hope I get one with the non spinning wheel. I have been wondering if the folks that have had problems with it should try using a small brush and jamming some noalox or other type conductive lubricant where the wheel spins. Of course there is the chance it could make the problem worse. And vaping noalox would not be that cool either... perhaps a bad idea.

I tried a dry burn of an iClear30s and really didn't have very good results. The head is built to make it a throw away, rather than being able to clean it effectively to extend its' life. I'm sticking to the iClear30 as a result, the heads are less expensive.

I may have to try a gin bath, rinse, and air dry on mine, and see how it goes.

I soak mine in vodka over night then rinse well and set on the heat vent to dry. Works pretty well. I've also tried the dry burning method with not the greatest results.

I got the 2900mah NCR1860PF high drain & the new 3400mah 18650B from Amazon. Both are Panasonic.
I have read the 18650B are not as safe, but I haven't had a problem in 2 months.
I haven't detected a discernible difference in how long they last, because I just got the NCR18650PF version.

Tried to get the Aspire Nautilus to fit on the VTR by sawing off the top "ring". I am sad to day that despite removing the aforementioned limiting factor I still cannot use the Nautilus. The "channel" (the slot running from the top ring to the bottom ring) is just a "hair" to narrow (and I mean a hair).

My question is, has anyone tried to bore out the channel in order to get the Nautilus to fit? I am afraid that if I start grinding it I will irreparably damage the device (not sure how much "cushion" there is (i.e. how much fat can you remove before you hit bone). I think I only need to remove a few millimeters to make it fit (but not sure)

I'm confused, I would never dream of cutting the protective ring off, let alone bore it out... I bought the VTR because of its appearance and how it protects the tank- if I wanted to use a larger setup I would use a different mod and not my VTR, so I'm dying to know what the drive is to hack it up?

I'm happy with my VTR / iclear 30/30S combo. You know (or should) going in that the device only accepts certain diameter tanks.

What really perplexes me however, is why in the world Innokin would come out with the iclear 30B, that doesn't fit in the VTR (which I already had)! To be fair, I knew this in advance and still bought a Coolfire 1 (which, as well as the Coolfire 2, comes with the new DBC tank). I wanted the device, not necessarily the tank. The Coolfire 1, IMO, is the most practicable pocket APV available. It's small, yet powerful. It's 3 clicks, on and off, fast and easy! You don't feel like a putz fooling with the Provari Mini menu, staring and waiting for the stupid LED to go off before putting it in your pocket.

BTW, the iclear 30B does not sit vertically flush on my Provaris. It does on my 134, and Vamo 3.

best regards, larry mac
