I just recieved my ProVari today. The batteries came charged up. The first thing I noticed was the way it was made. It is a work of art. Nothing to deburr at all as far as sharp edges from the machining. But it is not perfect, of cource. First, it is too heavy, almost a half of pound, 6 oz. I looked inside the barrel and I started to worry. The battery + post makes contact right on the PC board edge. An average PC board is app. 3/32nd of an inch thick. What happens when the the unit falls head down on a hard surface like hard floor or even worse on a concrete? The PC board will have to absorb the impact from the heavy battery (inertia). They should have a installed a stationary ring as a barrier guard to absorb the impact. Install a spring at edge of the PC board termination point for proper and positive contact to the battery + nipple. Install a guard on the LED window (like a bezel). These really worries me to death. When mine is out of warranty these are the first things I'll try to implement myself on this beautiful machine. So much for "nitpicking". Let me say that I am so happy having purchased this work of art e-mod. Provari will make all fixed voltage e-cigs absolete. They all have to do some catching up to stay in business. Performance wise, it performs the way I envisioned it and the way everybody praises it. Outstanding! I wish they would lighten it, though, like machining the areas that are too thick, use titanium, use some durable aluminum or carbon fiber, just make it light, please. I'm giving it 5 stars.

If you ever want to sell it in the future as crazy a thought as that may seem I want first dibs ok?? The reason: I can tell you're going to take great care of it and I'm pretty certain it will reciprocate. Congratulations on your Provari....:toast:

:vapor:Thanks, Keeno. I'm really enjoying my Provari very much. You should just get one, do not hold back. It maybe the last one you'll ever buy for a few years unless someone comes up (Provari, I hope) with a suction pump built-in to suck the liquid from the air passage with a push of a button. Since I'm on my keyboard, I would also like to tell everybody that most atomizers do not perform at all even on the Provari, and as far as I'm concern, they are just thrash. I'll just have to thrash all of them as junks.

Heyas Nicotinologist,

The weight of the provari is actually one of the things I like most about it. It's definately not a shirt pocket pv. But, every time I pick it up, it feels so solid in my hand that the weight is pure pleasure for me.

:D

same here, weight is one of my favorite things about it, when you hold it you just know you have a durable, excellent made, not a p.o.s mod.

Yeah, you're right about that. I quess I got used to using my EGO and got spoiled. I used to use a Pure Smoker V2 and it is not light, either. The plus side is my left arm will get some exercise in the process, heh, heh, heh. Once again, Provari is the best that ever came out of our good habits. Provari could have been perfect if they laser etched the brand plus Made In The USA below it. Have you noticed the flutes on the barrel? The crest lines up perfectly with the button? The digital lens too. It's amazing.

Been vaping for almost a year and a half now. Just got my Provari yesterday. First mod. And I am like Tersur, I wonder how I managed with what I had before. This thing is wonderful. Now granted, I have only had it for about 24 hours, but I am in love. However it has pointed out that I need to switch carto's. I am using a CE2 style tank carto and having it on the Provari, I have realized it just cant wick fast enough to keep up with this thing. Time to start investigating a tank.........

Yes...get a tank and you will have arrived into vaping Heaven. I have been using the vaporecence Liquinator, but their are many good tank systems. I think a tank is a must! I love mine!

"Just got my ProVari!!!" yesterday.

After much prodding from some dear ecf friends (like a couple months worth of prodding ) I went ahead and took the plunge.
I am very happy to say that I listened.

I love the heft of it. I would have been disappointed if it had felt flimsy. No worries there for sure!
It has elevated my already juicegasmic juices to an all new level. And it is very easy to use.I am super glad that I bought this and will now resume saving for another one!

So i received my ProVari this morning in the mail and i cannot put this thing down, it literally has not left my hand in 8 hours :) lol...this is my 1st Mod ever. after using an eGo for the past 3 months i decided to skip all the steps in between devices and just jump and grab the best :). i purchased the starter kit with BLUE LED, got the extended warranty just in case (extra year for 24.95$ cant beat it) and the extended cap to use larger batts but at the moment it does not seem like im going to need longer battery life. Overall i am wayyyy to excited about my new device and just cant stop raving about it. i absolutely love every aspect of this device. Thought i share with my fellow ECFers that i made the jump!

currently running 5v with Killa Vanilla mmmmmm:vapor:

I was going to get a Provari, but decided against it because of the protection circuit. I like running DCC @ 5-6 volts. You can't with the Provari as far as I know. But to each their own, if your happy then more power to ya. Congrats on the jump

It depends on the resistance of the DCC.

It will run a 1.6 Ohm DCC at 4.2V for 11 watts.

2.5 Ohm DCCs will run at 6V for 14.4 watts.

There's really no need to run LR cartos to simulate higher voltage when you have a VV device.

Voltage setting is not the whole idea. Frick is 100% correct. The whole idea is the amount of heat being adjusted in watts when you vary voltage : Watts=Amp x Voltage (P=IxE). Also adjusting the voltage is more convenient than adjusting resistance on PV's and more effecient. Look at the Ohms law calculator wheel, just Google search for it. Darwin mod PV has the right idea. I believe it displays resistance, voltage and watts. I think ProVari and LAVATUBE and others should add that feature on their devices. The industry should also use the standard light bulbs, appliances, etc ratings in watts.
