I would vote YES too. Might want to pre-lube the threads first. I got my "actual" laser pointer (silver) from Deal Extreme today, I ordered it like a month ago (china) and it is the exact model being used for the first laser mod. So now I have something to tinker with when I get the nerve to start playing around with making mods. I am still educating myself at this point, and found the thread that gives directions on how to make the laser mod. One of these days I'll take it on... till then, I'll keep vaping with my favorite 2 lasers from IKEN!

Thats Great news guys!!
We have something special courtesy of the Amazing WWay coming up to pair with these guys then! It's going to take a bit of time because her and hubby's line of work is in extreme mode till the beginning of April, but it's going to be really neat to customize your laser's!

I'll find the appropriate lube you guys mentioned, noalox and the oil. This is the stuff that I have been using which was too messy and obviously not effective!

Haha Jam I was reading part way through your post and started to search for the "How to make a lase mod thread" Came back with the link and read the rest and seen you have found it! LOL Just classic.Whenever your ready to take on this trial, I can probably get you some assistance for any rocks on the road you may face.

My vote is YES to offering them for sale. Three things that IMHO (and previously mentioned by others) should be addressed first though:

1. Battery size issue - A battery sized to reliably fit needs to be offered for sale (whether it comes with one or not, additional appropriate fitting batteries should be available for purchase).
2. Endcap threading - Units should be pre-lubricated and maybe a note on the site page about maintenance (how often, how much, what to use). It also would be nice (and not just for this unit) if a recommended lubricant was offered for sale in small quantities. If a small enough quanitity package couldn't be sourced, maybe Isaac could get some small containers (I know there's lots of "make-up supply" type sites and ebay sellers where you can buy cheap small containers) and put some lubricant in them? Sort taking a big jar and dividing it into lots of little jars either for sale or if need be as a "freebie" with purchase?
3. Paint issues - I don't know if it was rushed out after paint or not but when I first received mine the paint was strong smelling and just seemed not totally cured. Since then it's been fine so maybe it just needed time to fully cure? Anyways, a purchasing customer would probably expect the paint to be fine upon arrival.

The unit itself is running great other than those issues and I think could be a real nice addition to the Chameleon for those looking for a less expensive unit. The battery life isn't quite as good, nor does it do HV, so it's target market is different than the Chameleon (which is all a good thing!)

Week 2 of the testing, I handed my LPV2 over to my boyfriend (Kirk) with some basic instruction, to continue with the testing phase. His experience and needs may differ from mine. I will report updates back as I get them from him. He is starting off with the 510 adapter.

Once I get some samples in the mail, I will also be experimenting with the "skin" idea for you guys, see how user friendly it can be. I have been thinking about the button area needing to be removed, and started to think: hole puncher? It might be slightly larger hole than the button itself, but might make for an easy way to pre-cut stick and go skins. I will have to do some testing of course, but it might make application more easy to instruct: Line up hole with button, apply in middle of sheet first, then wrap the sides (kinda like a bandaid). I will have to see how that works out once I have the supplies here to work with (THANKS WW!).

They will have a precut hole in them as soon as I get a template done. Just haven't gotten it right yet so sent your test stuff without it. Isaac and I are looking to make these as easy as possible for people to do. I so appreciate you helping try things out :)

Very well said Mike! I agree with those 3 points, which are all fixable. I think you hit the nail on the head about the paint. It wasn't fully cured before shipping. After a few days it changed dramatically and is how it should be now. It's nice and hard and slick and shiny now instead of soft and rubbery feeling.

That is all cosmetic stuff, the performance has always been there. It's been great from day one on how it performs.

Kirk is really loving the LPV2, he says it's giving him really good vapor, and is still on the same battery he started with this afternoon, so far nothing but good feedback from him (and he can be really picky about these kinds of things sometimes) so far so good!

** I have been using my LPV1 since I gave the beta over to Kirk, so it's a win win :) I love the silver laser too!

Hey guys!! I'm glad to see that everyone is doing well w/the beta lasers!!

WitchWay... you are freaking awesome!!! We love the stickers!!! We can't wait to put them on the cars!! We haven't played with the vinyls yet but the colors are great! I know that TBM will be thrilled with the pink... she's got a few mods the light pink color and I think she'll really like the hot pink that's in there... I'm going to go take a picture of all the colors now so everyone can see!! brb......:D:D

And here is one I found for TMB. We have some of this left over from a special job we did. I stole the pic from an eBay listing LOL because this stuff is impossible to get a pic of. It's multi-lens or also called defractolens and it is hot pink.

Now I have to go back to bed LOL Just took more pain meds and if I don't lay down, in about 20 minutes I'll just fall down. I'll be back later tonight

Have a great one!!
