List of vendors Age Verification requirements.

I still don't understand why all vendors just don't ship with adult signature required. No third parties involved and no need for threads like this. It would seem the simplest and cheapest way to verify age. Am I missing something? I'm sure some will let me know.

What about people who have no one at home to sign for a package? I'm retired, so I could be at home for deliveries, but for many, many years I was never home before 6pm or later & running to the PO to pick up packages was not on the list of things to get done on my day off, which was different every week. PO closes at 5. I deliberately have a PO Box now so I don't have packages getting stolen from my apartment doorstep (the office won't accept or sign for mail or deliveries. I can go to the PO when it's convenient, which is anytime since I retired.

You're absolutely right. I must admit I was having a "senior moment" when I posted that. I also am retired and use a PO Box. And I am home for any deliveries that come to the street address.

But when I worked having packages come requiring signature would have been a real pain.

I knew there was something I was overlooking. Basically anyone but ME.

Adult signature required also is for 21+, so all those under 21 but over 18 are left in the dark.

Maybe have a Short list of vendors that Don't use Any verification software?

I have bought very few things since I've started vaping, so I'm at an extreme disadvantage not having any previous history with vendors.

Posting a list of vendors who aren't verifying age could also be handing the FDA a giftwrapped compliance "hit" list... Besides, vendors using non-invasive, discreet age verification methods (like Veratad) might appear to not be verifying age when they actually are. Your history with a specific vendor should have little bearing on initial age verification, your history with a specific age verification service (Veratad, Bluecheck, AVS..) will, once a service has "verified" your age any vendor using that service should pass you through without incident -if- your account information (name, address, phone, DOB ...) is the same.

Actually, isn't there a tool in FF that may do that?

right click and choose "view source" from the menu while on the checkout page. Sometimes blocked by security software or code on the page.

When @Katdarling first started a Google Doc on her "itty-bitty" thread...and only she could edit/modify it...it was GREAT!!!

Then, after awhile, she changed it so that anyone could edit it...

It soon became filled with inaccurate info, chaotic and useless...

Suppliers aren't permitted to post about their business in the general forums. They're limited strictly to the supplier forums.

My response from Origin vape concerning their AVS.

"We are using Veratad AVS, with Subuno as a backup in case their database is not able to verify the age/identity. In case of failure of identification from both systems, we then ask for a copy of ID or 21+ signature confirmation as per customer's preference."

I emailed RockinVapeStudios re: their "Wants cell #" requirement (since I do not even have a cellphone)...

Their reply:

It looks like you can enter any phone number in there and e-mail their support at help@blucheck.me for further assistance. They should be able to provide you the SMS code so that you can get through the verification.

Sorry for the extra steps, unfortunately our arms are tied by the FDA age verification regulations, and we want to make sure we stay compliant.

A little birdie told me that it is ok for US Only vendors to PM me their info since they can't post outside their forum.

I think this would be good getting the info straight from the vendors then I can ask them all kinds of questions.
