So I point that out as we do not know how people will react to actually vaping Yellow 5---Many people are allergic to it but do not even know it because all they present is a headache which they attribute to something else----

I think calling 0.12% of the population many is a bit of a stretch. The allergy seems to be related to all ingestion and not just inhalation.

Rat--by meaning "Many" I meant many of the people that in fact have a reaction--Just pointing out for the posts--no streaching. And as there is no data on-- inhale is even more disconcerning--I for one am allerigic to the damn stuff and it is a pain in the .... Try eating out in a restaurant one where you can not look at the lables of what they are using!!--Now you might understand where I was coming from--you just met one of the alleged "0.12" -----Sun

Please don't take what I said offensive, I was just trying to put things into perspective. I think the key here is that the Tartazine intolerance is an immune response and as such virtually always will show up regardless of the vectors it takes to enter the body. Granted breating in Tartazine for one who is has a full blown allergy (as apposed to a psudoalergy) would be pretty dangerous. But people who have that problem more then likely know it by now due to invacity of the reaction it causes them.

Welcome silky :) PureSmoker has some great juice if you don't want to mix your own... and if you do.. welcome to the "mad chemists club" as Mark and Mixxy said :)

Thank you for the welcome Spikey :) I ordered a ton of carts and liquid from PureSmoker too so hopefully I'll have enough to test and play as soon as it gets here. All I know is I better like all this stuff, because I've spent almost 6 hours a night for about two weeks reading and looking for goodies to buy . I already have a huge list of other things to get (you all with your sweets are not making my life any easier :)) and I haven't even tried it yet. Talk about addiction transference... hmmm maybe I'm just a shopaholic... ok, a little of both

Also, I wanted to thank you for the video you put together on all the basic information. Absolutely great!! I've watched it twice already and I must say, not only have I learned tons, but I also suddenly have this overwhelming desire to buy black leather :D I'd call that a good side-effect LOL. Thanks again for all the effort you put into it.

Have a great Wednesday.

Why does this sound so odd to me? :?:

Lu
I don't make much sense sometimes :)

Spikey.........My LorAnns wintergreen say's "partially insoluble in water" I tend to stay away from it for that very reason:)The Wiz!

ok... so I am not crazy.. I knew Iwould have gotten that flavor if there wasn't a reason I shouldn't!

Spikey--FDC Yellow Number 5 (Tartizine) is one of the very very food colorings that must be actually disclosed that it is in a product because of cross-sensitivites with not only aspirin but a host of issues. As reitereated here:

Dipalma JR.
Hahnemann University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Tartrazine (FD & C Yellow No. 5) is an approved azo dye present in many drugs and food products. During the 1970s, many cases of tartrazine sensitivity were reported. This led to new regulations that required the listing of azo dyes on package inserts of drugs and on packages of food products. Tartrazine sensitivity is most frequently manifested by urticaria and asthma. Although azo dyes have been implicated in accentuating hyperkinetic syndromes, tartrazine is not considered an offender. Vasculitis, purpura and contact dermatitis infrequently occur as manifestations of tartrazine sensitivity. Cross-sensitivity in aspirin-sensitive and NSAID-sensitive patients may also occur. The mechanism of sensitivity is obscure and has been called pseudoallergic. Management consists mainly of avoidance of drugs and food products that contain tartrazine.

As for the Wintergreen, you are right on there--it is a no go for our atomizers---Sun

Wow... intense sun. I am allergic to EVERYTHING but I have not had a reaction to it (yet). Had pretty bad asthma for many years too.. but turned out I was allergic to my cats lol :)

I would guess I would know... since I have so many allergies.

Glad the video was helpful and let the people here know if you need help mixing (I am not very good yet.. just got my flavors last week lol!)

I thought the Bavarian Creme was too strong too. I added Tennessee Cure and PG and a few drops of caramel - that helped some. It makes a good after dinner vape, but still too sweet for me. Walrus, (btw, your stash pic cracked me up!) what's your Boston Creme Pie recipe? Hmm, all of a sudden lemon mixed w/Bavarian creme sounds good to me. But I don't have lemon :( ...has anyone tried fresh lemon? Or would that be too acidic?

I tried English Toffee last night, yum! I have Butter Rum too, which smells strong, so I'll go really easy on it when I try it.

Has anyone come up with a RY4 recipe? I searched, but came up with so many threads I gave up after reading for wayyy too long! My English Toffee, Tobacco Road Kick Juice, PG and Tennessee Cure mix was close, but definitely missing something. I'll add a bit of caramel next and see how that tastes.

Still coming up are Blackberry and Pistachio. Based on smell, I think I'll love the blackberry, but the pistachio smells artificial.

I'm really  lovin' the butter rum! It tastes just like the old butter rum lifesavers! The blackberry is still my favorite fruit flavor so far.

RY???
Not perfected yet... but pretty close to riskee yuice and RY4
5% caramel Lorann
5% marshmallow lorann
10% 11MG Vanilla Johnson Creek
5% 36MG TW tobacco
75%VG

I added 2 other flavors at one drop each... but I am not sure I have perfected it yet... so I won't say which :) I will let you guys know when I get it right.. tastes SO good in the badabing though!

Geez, I'd forgotten all about those! Loved 'em! What's your recipe? Gotta mix some up! What % of blackberry did you use? Since you've already come up with good mixes, and from your past posts it seems we like the same flavors, I can avoid pitfalls by shamelessly copying you!! :D

Thanks! BTW, love your avatar!

Good Evening to all you wonderful people! :)

Thank you all again for the wealth of information I have learned! 26+ yr smoker at 2+ packs a day! Wow! down to about 10 "stinkies" a day! What a difference the e-cig has done for me.
