In the land of no hills and red dirt
For those of you who were wanting a Chalice (or two), and were wondering if you'd be able to get the money together before the release, good news! You now have two more weeks!!!

I asked Mark for an update as to when the Chalice will be released, and he was now looking at the middle of July for a very large first batch of Chalices. It also looks like they will be distributing them themselves.

Speaking as someone who has been a few betas and prototypes in his day, it's never good to rush someone who is working on a new product. The Carlos juice Box, for instance, comes to mind. Mine is still working fine, and the original 2 year old handbuilt atomizer is still firing strong. Had he taken a little more time and worked out the tweakiness of the juice delivery system before release, and had it produced in mass quantities, it could have taken over the world. Hell, if he could take his atty and put it into a 510 or even an 801 connection and sell it for $50, I'd buy it in an instant.

Sorry to get off point. And if you're about to state that it's easy for someone to urge patience when they already have the object of their desires, I have to confess that you're right. I'll keep posting details and updates as soon as they're available to me.

I've just been told it will be $150 with shipping and paypal fees included.

Why are these so much? Is it just me that thinks this is excessive? Can't be much more than $10 in materials in this. I realize these are highly sought after and after some point in time they could pay for themselves in carto/ atty savings but still.... Help me justify this.

Not a real excuse or justification, but I think this price is in line with most other rebuildable type attys out there at the moment, but I have to agree that it does seem a bit high. Having said that, I've been chasing the perfect atty for my bottom feeders from the start and if these are the last attys I have to buy I would be truly pleased. I know I've spent more than that amount in the last six months trying to find something that I like that will perform consistently for more than a week. The promise of being able to rebuild these when the wick and coil start to fade is enough to draw me in.

10 dollars in material......

Price might sound a bit harsh but these guy team is second to none in build quality ;) there might be others BF rebuildables in the work but i doubt they come close to the attention to detail these thing have, if you end getting one the moment you open the box im sure you will go nuts, when i got my wizard it was amazing and few days ago when i got my infinity (think is the same price cant remember) i was blown away by the construction and how it vapes.

Materials is one of the least expensive costs to the manufacturer when it comes to things like this. Machining can be expensive, especially precision, quality machining like Mark Bugs does. There is R&D costs, payroll, production, website costs, etc.

I've seen stainless steel rings (wedding bands, etc), that use even less materials that cost more than this - you're paying for well designed (both aesthetics and function) product.

On top of all that, we know that people wouldn't put all this effort, thought and time into something unless they were going to make some profit on it.

So ready for these. I have like 10 bottom feeding devices now.

Well allready used 2 rebuildables from the same team, these will have if not the same close to the basics of the mark infinity and i must say that you will really love these and everyone with a Reo or BF mod should try to score one; super simple to rebuild and of course these guys make the best looking attys till date lol

Ive never been fully attracted to box mod but after i saw these its always in my mind to go ahead and try to get a Reo ;)

Well we were all attracted to a box and paid over $5 a pop for them. I have had a box mod before. Box mods are project boxes with batteries inside. REOs are much different. Buy a mini and give it a try sometime. You won't regret it.

I like to drip occasionally and wish Mark Ts infinity was available in the states. 150 is high enough without shipping and a long wait.

All in all it's $165 and it got to me in one week. I thought about it this way when I decided to buy it... If I buy 2 Ikenvape atties a month, then in 10 months I've already spent more than that, and with the Mark-T I'll never have to buy another one.

Just a quick update...special list received, everything tentatively scheduled to go mid month, looks like it will be through their own website...nothing's set in stone yet, but it looks as if they're sharpening the chisel.

And if you're familiar with the Infinity with tanks or dripping, you're already set for the Chalice. Only differences are that a) the wick/coil should be on the floor of the mod, near the center, and you have to thread the needle, i.e., place each end of the coil through the hole on the posts before you tighten the screws. My advice for my middle aged bifocal totin' brethren is to leave extra length of each side of the coil and thread it all the way through before screwing it tight or cutting the ends. Makes it a bit easier to put it exactly where you want it. Yeah, wastes a bit of wire, but it's cheap on ebay; and my time is worth way more than wasting two inches of heating element.
