I did get my wire in this week from silica wicks. In an email with him, he stated that he would be getting mesh soon.

Duly noted. This works well for me because I have more VG on hand than PG anyway.
So when it comes to rolling the mesh, I get that you want to roll it around a toothpick or needle or something as a guide, but how much overlap are you shooting for? How many 'layers' thick should a rolled mesh wick be?
p.s. I am very grateful that this thread has become Rebuilding 101, I know I'm not the only one here who is taking their first foray into the rebuildable world with Mark Bugs.
Where is every one picking up the Cotton Yarn wick I would love to try some.
It's not yarn, but here's the square braid cotton wick that I got.
Where is everyone picking up Kantha A or SS mesh?
Thanks for the helpPretty much all Kanthal has been gotten from coinswiesiek on ebay. He currently doesn't have any in stock though. SS Mesh can be gotten from themeshcompany.com dirt cheap, but takes a while to ship. You can get it from mcmaster-carr @ mcmaster.com for like $20 a sheet. Part number 9319T46
Thanks for the helpKanthal A, right? Not Kanthal A-1?
I feel bad I keep asking all these questions. I should have picked up more knowledge than I have by now. I'm a slow learner.
