@eisofen

Yikes! Stay away from the smoking boxes in MUC!!! They are aweful... you feel like a caged animal being stared at in the zoo! I say you just find a nice corner somewhere to vape in. As for the UA flight, some crews have been great about it, some not so great. I even came across a United FA that had her own ecig just for flights... This was on a UA flight from DC to Kuwait though. Good luck!

@stubear

LOL Its all good!

@Ludo
Thanks!

just got my auto ego, can it be that it has a 3 second cutoff ? thats a bit soon in my opinion. for auto batteries 5 seconds would be ideal. and i think my original dura batteries had a longer cutoff. not that it was really bad, but i have to get used to it and "prepuff" at least once.

the 3 second cutoff would explain why stubear62 had a really hard time using them. if one knows about it, they work fine...you just have to drag like on a real cigar.

I've been using a "prepuff" only once to get it going, but after that it's smooooth sailing, without even having to do a "prepuff". I suppose this is why I'm not having any issues with cutoff? Either way it's been a complete non issue for me.

are you using the carts that came with it? I had good luck with them for a while but im having a hard time duplicating that with fluval now that the original carts with the polyfill have run their course.

so far, yes!

I have tried using a cart that I filled with some PG, and that didn't work out nearly as well as far as longevity. Perhaps I'm not filling them properly? I don't mod them, I just use the original cart, pop the back, add about 7-10 drops and put it back on. I am ordering some pre-filled carts asap since I don't have a handle on re-filling my own carts properly yet to achieve the same length of use.

I have been using my new ego for a couple of days, and so far I am LOVING it! :wub: It feels great in my hand, gives big, tasty, beautiful, billowing vapor, and has been going strong since I first charged it! I have not even swapped batteries yet, which is one of the main reasons I wanted this one, and the smaller size is great too! Great product you guys!!! If you are just starting out, or on the fence about getting one, this would be a really good one to get. :thumb:

I think part of what turns new vapers off in the beginning, is having to do so much maintenance, and constantly having to charge batteries etc... now if we could just find a good juice reservoir mod for the 510 atty, things would be near perfect. The ego takes care of the battery charging issue, and sure looks nice.

Hopefully no ego problems will arise :lol:

...I think new vapors who are looking to get a 510 need to just get the eGo :)

Alright, a final review. Final when it comes to the test, anyway.

I'm sitting here, eGo-less, and miss it badly. (Have a bit of a problem getting a replacement.) But what shall I say that has not been said countless times before already?

It vapes great, the taste is even slightly better on an eGo than on a 510 – or an eGo without a cover. I get 6-8 hours of vaping from one battery. And no sticky fingers anymore during at least those 6-8 hours. And I was out and about with it a lot, during very cold weather. I stopped carrying other flavour/backup 510s after two days because when I took those out, they were not sticky, they were downright wet.

But instead of repeating what others already said, let me say something about carrying an eGo. With ordinary 510s, I'd usually carry the one I was vaping in a lanyard, two or three more with different flavours in a cell phone bag in my pocket, and a PCC and bottles in a camera bag in my backpack for anything that would last more than an hour or two. Let's just say I am a person who likes to make sure they don't run out of anything, so that was barely more bulk than I had with cigarettes.

With my eGo, obviously, the logistics would have to change. After a few days of trying, I was down to the eGo I was vaping in a lanyard (or, on more formal occasions, an eGo with a pen clip), and the spare battery with an atty with a different flavour screwed onto it and two bottles of liquid in a small knife pouch. Now that was considerably less bulk to carry, and I had enough stuff to vape for 12-16 hours. (Given that a lot of people vape less than I do, this should last some people two or three days. Remember how many analogs that were? Plus lighter, plus pocket ashtray…)

I've uploaded a few pics for you to see. One of the lanyards is DIY, a rubber band, basically, sewn together. The other one is a promotional gift from a pencil factory; and while the zipper thing is neat, what counts is the silicone holder for a pen – or an eGo. It fits actually both an ordinary 510 and an eGo, although I most certainly want a spare cover, so I don't have to remove it when I am home. Because once the silicone is around the cover, it stays there. (Actually, that lanyard would be neat with an eGo-logo on it, too, and maybe in a different colour. Just mentioning it, Mik.)

Another thing with the eGo is that I was surprised that people would not consider it "strange" or "bulky". I managed to recruit three new vapers down there, and each and every one said that the eGo was "cute" and that they had no problem imagining being seen with one. Given the usual preference of newbies for analog-like looking PVs, that was definitely a pleasant surprise. Especially since obviously, they would get a considerably better experience with an eGo than with a super-mini.

Also, the looks you get were different. Usually, when people watch you vape a 510, you can see that their first reaction is "That person is smoking!" followed immediately by "Uh, that's a mighty odd cigarette!" and then by an "Well, whatever are they doing?!?". The eGo does not, or only very rarely, trigger that "smoking" association. Which might make for more peaceful vaping.

So, to sum up: It's as great as others already said. It neatly circumvents a big problem for me, leaking. It is certainly very nice not to worry about battery life so much (although I never complained about that much, annoying, but manageable). That makes it a very convenient PV. It tastes even slightly better than an ordinary 510 into the bargain. And it looks good, and it feels good in my hands.
I've changed my recommendation to newbies from 510 to eGo. And somehow, I think those 510 batteries I have will last me for a very long time now. :D

I find that the pouch that comes with the kit is perfect for carrying two full eGOs, a 10ML bottle of liquid plus a smaller one, and/or several loaded carts.

I assume that either you didn't get the pouch with your demo unit, or you wanted the thicker material of the knife pouch.

The Janty pouch is about the same size (maybe a bit wider) than your knife pouch and I can just throw it in any size purse, my car ashtray, or even the back pocket of jeans (if not too tight--and of course, I don't throw it in the back pocket).

It's a terrible thing having to send it back once you've gotten used to it huh :( lol

Nice review and neat little lanyard setup you've got going there.

Ya know I actually completely forgot to even take the pouch out, after the initial checking it out, and try loading it up. I do remember when I first looked at it that my first thought was it would be nice if it had a divider piece in the middle to keep the 2 eGos from "knocking" together. Do you find that to be an issue?

Congrats on seeing the "Ego Light"!!!

Its a killer PV for us Vets and first time users alike!

I have turned a few friends on to vaping and the only device I reccommend now for first timers is the ego! I wish this lil baby was around when I first started vaping... Had I not had to screw with those damn stock batteries, It might not have taken me another year to kick the analogs!

I get so many compliments and questions, I printed up a few basic "Biz Cards" With Janty's website, the ego order info, and of course the web add for ECF. Makes things much easier. :)

In any sense, enjoy your new ego, she'll be good to you!

Safe Travels,

No problem. Just stick a bottle or two between the eGos. You can also put some tweezers in there or attach a safety pin to the pouch to fluff filling.

I can't upload pictures, otherwise I'd do a show and tell.

Since it's made of a thick nylon-like material and has a plastic snap, it's hand washable.

I find it's the perfect size.
