- and you are able to take that battery out and swap with another of "our" batteries

there is nothing wrong using a battery from janty, i am not saying that the current batteries 14500/18650 have to be used, if janty provides a good swappable battery i am fine with that.

the current hardware especially the eGo shell seems very reliable. it would shed tears in my eyes to drop that beauty in the bin only because the li-oin inside dies. at least i will build a Passthrough from it when the time comes :D

Hehe, that was my first and only worry - how sad it will feel once it dies. So i definately do understand you - but the way i look at it, if i use this device for 400 days as a consumer, and it in that period of time is reliable, and i like it - then i will have no problem buying another.

But yes, it is sad to have to throw it out - however, think of all the standard batteries, of less quality ( typically ) that you throw out in 400 days from heavy usage? I think the "green factor" in the eGo is actually quite high in this regard.

hehe, we have at least 2 suppliers in germany that have deals with HG :)

*sorry, just excited

Hehe, i never saw the point in these - i mean, i used to when batteries were 200-400 mAH, but with the eGo and upcoming stuff at over 500+ mAH its just not going to be that much of a pain to charge stuff.

The only use i could see, was if it was portable.. ;)

update: Im on exactly 13 hours now....... on my first battery.

Now i havent been vaping nonstop, but i am not a light vaper by any means. Its been out with me where i have only taken a few good drags now and then - and its been by my side for 80% of the day infront of the computer, while working, while watching TV- and its STILL not dead.

So i think a safe estimate is to say that for the average user, this thing definately will run you more than 11-12 hours of use, before it goes dry on charge..... If you are a *heavy* user, ofcourse it will be less than that - but still, this is definately enough for me - and nothing has been enough before this for me! So im a happy camper.

Im looking forward to hearing other peoples experience with how long this lasts for them!

And remember since it is a subjective matter, just use it as you normally would during the day, and give some feedback on when it runs dry!

hypotheticly if an atty has approx 3ohms resistance putting out 1.23 amps @3.7v with an 800mah and 5sec hits it should last in a ballpark of 7hrs thats with straight vaping...

now it is cool that you are putting out the effort... at least we will know that it puts out for awhile hehe....

anyway keep up the work... hehe

Well this battery is the 650mAH ( the standard eGo one ) - and since i am not hitting it every chance i get, but just vaping like i normally do, i guess this isnt all wrong data.

Its still not dead btw - 2.59 am here now... damn. ;)

Hmm. From my calculations.. and - bear in mind im tired, - if i started vaping this at 11.37 before mid day, and its now 03.26 am at night.. its been going for..

16 hours?

WHAT!

Okay.. heavy smoker or not - this is quite insane.

Its not dead yet, but i am - im heading to bed - in the spirit of testing, i will not recharge this battery over night, but just pick it up in the morning and see how long it goes on for.. ;)

First battery finally died at 10hr 5min.

Cass, you don't by chance have a volt meter, do ya? I'm curious to what the cut off voltage is when it "finally died". What was the TH like in the last hour or so? Drastically less than the first hour? I have no use for batteries once they drop below 3.7 or so.

I could get 6 hours out of my JS but usually I charged it after 3 or so b/c the TH faded.

And, I'm wondering (but I will find out) how many cycles this new battery has in its life before that 10 hour mark is no more.

No volt meter, sorry. The TH and vapor production were consistant all the way to the last vape. I'm pretty impressed so far.

I could get probably 5hrs of heavy vaping off my JS, so one eGo battery lasted me twice that.

I just tested my two batts. One read 1.4 the other 1.45 although I have been vaping on both for around 9 hours plus other people in the house have been trying it lol. I have just popped one on the charger now, once fully charged I will see what it says, use that battery all day and keep reading the volts to see how quickly it drops.

Oh forgot to say, the batts were also left sitting 7 hours while I slept.

Wow, Mik. That's amazing! Looks like I still have about another 8 hrs???

Hmm.. im still going strong on it - picked it up at 13.17 today, and its 14.06 now.. whoa. I guess when other people , like Elendil says he gets 7 hours of charge he REALLY sucks that badboy hard.. - and i honestly thought i was a heavy vaper.

I wonder if it comes down to how you vape? The first couple of months i used to drag for a looong time direct inhaling. With the eGo, i do steady, slow, deep drags of max 2-3 seconds and it gives me plumes of vapor, and all the taste i need - could be a big difference? I mean im not sure, but it *could* be, that when Elendil for instance only has a battery lasting 7 hours, compared to mine which is already twice that, that he is infact not utilizing the battery as well as he could?

I mean, if you drag on it slowly for 2-3 secs, but drag as in a good deep drag - to my estimate you get the exact same vapor, as if when you drag HARD, and do it for 6-7 seconds?

Hmm, but let me know how long yours last!
