  • Yes, I would buy a colored ego over what is available right now.

Is the only benefit of the eGo over the Dura the battery life or is the overall performance improved? Throat Hit, Flavor, Vapor Production etc. What is the purpose of the Atomizer cover? Does it improve the draw or does it just simply protect the atomizer? I am almost sold on the eGo but I want to know this stuff. I love my Dura but longer battery life combined with its already superb performance is worth it alone but longer battery life with even better performance complete awesomeness.

The atomizer is designed for three purposes, - one is to make the device look nicer, secondly its to enhance the warmth of the vapor, and third to keep any leakage inside.

From reading alot of reviews, the general consensus is that the throat hit is better, the vapor is nicer, and the battery life is insane.

Hey all, so I've been getting a TON of emails regarding the current stock levels at Janty USA, and rightfully so! I have drafted this response for all inquiries regarding the issue and thought I would post it here:

Thank you for your inquiry and I’d like to apologize for the current state of our inventory. The Chinese New Year occurred last month, during which our factory was closed for virtually the entire month. Due to the ever-growing number of customers and demand of our products, it is at this point very apparent that we underestimated our stock prior to the holiday. We are expecting to be fully replenished in all of our items very soon; however, I will not give an estimate as to the exact date as doing so would be negligent on my part. I can assure you that as soon as I have a better idea in terms of the physical arrival of stock, I will let it be known either on the front page of Janty USA or here on the forum. We are taking measures to avoid such gaps in our inventory in the future. I can only ask for your patience in the matter and assure you that we will be getting more products in and moving towards improving Janty USA as a whole.

If you still feel it necessary to email me regarding our stock, you will receive the exact message above as a response. Because there is nothing I can do until the shipments arrive, I need to focus my efforts on current problems with customers such as warranty claims and product inquiries. Thank you all for understanding!

Ethan

Sounds like Stu has a bad auto batt, but for anyone who doesn't: are the reports the same that the LED is too dim/hard to see, or is this a voltage related issued that Stu is having? Can anyone with a working auto post a pic of the LED in action? Still waiting on my auto kit to arrive, so all I can do is obsess and distract myself with the forums.

Yep, I read the review and watched the video(s). Just wondering if that dim LED was due to the bad batt, or if it's just that dim period. For example, I've got a bad 510 batt at the moment that has like a two second cut off and the LED is only half as bright as that of it's fully functional kit-mate. If I try to use it, it gives me a headache as well, just as you reported with your bad batt.

I never had much use for the pouch until the past few days. I was called up for jury duty and carried a fully assembled ego along with a spare everything (batt, cart, and atty) and 2 x 3ml bottles in the pouch. And the manual, just in case security gave me a hard time. It was handy, especially going through the metal detectors where I could hand my pouch off to security and not have to fish around in my pockets for every little piece of metal.

Every guard gave me a look when they saw the eGo, but once I told them it was a "nicotine inhaler" and I was quitting smoking I got universal support and understanding.

Hey Stu,

i know that they are very busy - and if you are sending Ethan a mail a day, and everyone else is doing the same, well .. then that might be part of why he is busy :)

Im sure he will get back to you the second he has time - we are undergoing some big changes in order to ensure that we can keep up with demand while retaining our high level of customer service in the future!

Hey lasttango:

The boiled taste: This can be a lot of things, most likely your atomizer is clogged - or you have been vaping on it while it was too dry.

Put it under a running faucet for 2 minutes, - then blow it out with your mouth until its as dry as you can do it.

Hold a paper towel up to the end ( you blow where youd insert the cart and hold paper towel at other end ) and stop blowing when you dont see the towel becoming wet from your actions anymore!

Then insert the atomizer into your ego or any other PV, and hold down the button to activate it: while you do this blow as hard as you can directly into the atomizer ( ie. do NOT have a cartridge on meanwhile ) to cool it off, as youre doing this. Only hold the button for some 5 seconds - let it rest for 2-3 seconds, then do it again - repeat this 3-5 times.

When done, - put two drops of liquid into the atomizer - hit the power button for 1-2 seconds, then let it sit for a minute. Then insert cart, or drip = ie. do as you usually do - and this should clear the taste.

As for the stuck button: it can be a production failure. If you bought this at janty it is probably still under warranty and you can send it in. However, before doing so you might want to try knocking it ( not too violent ) against a table or something to see if the button losens. This CAN help - and in case it does not help you still have to send in the eGo under warranty. The reason why this can happen are many ; as i mentioned it can be a faulty unit or it can be the combination of you pressing way too hard, while at the same time having a button that has sharp edges inside ( because its new ) - these edges usually gets trimmed down automagically from the first 5-10 button presses - but if youve pressed it too hard from the get-go you could have twisted the button into a spot where it cant get out.

Hope it works!
