The TAWB and TAWA stand for Throw away battery and atomizer and NO, these are brand new batteries and of the same quality of the other eGo batteries, the only reason that we mark them TAWA and TAWB is so that we know that they are not our standard batteries or atomizers and thus do not have the same warranty. But they are not "defective" or any different from our standard batteries aside from the small "TAWB" inscribed on the battery as shown in the pictures on our website. Since we sell two different warranty sets, we have to be able to know which are warrantied and which are not. I hope that makes sense.
