Glad to hear everyone is getting their sticks and emails. I haven't gotten an email to a question yet. He emailed me real quick on the first one.

I've been reading all through the Dura C and Stick post and I am all turned around. I have only used njoy penstyle and nothing but problems since the beginning.

My concern is the stick is so new and supposedly Janty will be making a metal one soon.

I need your help folks and maybe I'm on the wrong thread but you also will know. I'm trying to decide which one to buy. The Dura C or the Stick. As I stated, I'm concerned about the newness and that it's plastic.

Any feed back friends?

Hi Ladybug,

I'm in the UK so got my Stick through iVapour. It rocks! Excellent vapour, great battery life and comes with a passthrough. It's plastic and you'll find the paint starts to come off of the end after a while - but I've had mine since May 25 and love it! Can't comment on the Dura-C but I know that there are others who can help you on that. :)

Well I ordered my 510 from Phil today (upgrading from pen-style) He shipped it within 4 hours of ordering! Now my dilemma is whether to order the Janty Stick.....I want to but I've read some neg. stuff here and I'm worried about whether it will actually ship when they claim (July 3) Tried to email to ask and got no response....Is it worth waiting for and can I trust them to ship it if I order today???

Well i have really no experience with the Janty Stick but I have been reading about the button issues they are having. I wanted one until I heard that, I have heard that the are also going to me making a metal version at some point. If I had was moving up to the big battery mods I think I would looking into a prodigy. I don't have one yet but I really like the fact that it is make here in the states and steve at pure smoker really seem on the ball. Once I see a production model in action I think I may have to order one.

I love my JS. It fits me perfectly as far as lasting all day long on a single charge. And it's discreet which I need at my work.

BUT, if you can wait then do so. Many of the devices that hit the market aren't time tested. And technology keeps improving. You have a fine product in the 510 in your hand. Use it and watch as new products become available.

I agree, Janty seems to be trying hard to be a responsible company and they're probably doing as much as makes economical sense to do for an entity of their size in what is (basically) a brand new commodity. Even though my stick is having problems, they've innovated and come up with a great concept, which I believe will evolve into a classic and be the model to beat, which is great for the market in general. I'll be the first one to trade up if they come up with another version or model. These aren't failures, they're lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.

I don't know if this would be helpful to anyone, but if there are people out there with a leaky stick and a switch that's prone to peeling off, I have a temporary solution to get me by until I can get a replacement or a new version or whatever Janty intends to do to resolve this issue. I work at an electronics manufacturing plant where we use finger cots (latex finger covers). I took one of those (extra large) and unrolled it up the stick from the bottom (where the light is) to cover it about 3/4 of the way up. This stops the leaking from getting on my clothes and also holds the switch in place, hopefully preventing further deterioration. Not exactly chic, but it'll do the trick for now. If you don't happen to work in a factory that uses these things, I imagine they're available online somewhere.

Wonder if this had anything to do with it? From their US site news page (undated):
"JANTY™ discovered a micro chip programming bug in the JANTY™ S*T*I*C*K creating an unexpected reset of the program while operating the device through the USB passthrough port - the micro chip has been sucesfully re-programmed - issue solved. "

I posted in another leaky stick thread what I'm doing with mine. I basically wrapped the entire stick in a latex finger protector that covers the stick from the bottom where the light is to about 3/4 of the way up the body. Didn't change the draw at all, still very light. It's not getting air from anywhere on the stick body, so I'm guessing it's all coming down around the atty.
