geeker,
Things happen, people forget things. At least in my experience, it's been minor things when ordering online (from various vendors and websites). The key is if they get fixed in a timely fashion or not. They all have been. If Janty had forgot to send, oh I don't know, the ACTUAL STICK, and I didn't hear from them for a few weeks, then I would have a problem. But a few missing carts, not a big deal. Same thing with the charger (but I already knew about that and gave Ethan the okay to send my order without it). You may only hear and read about the times that people have problems with their orders, but how many times have folks recieved their order without a hitch? Very few people write about positive retail experiences. Even fewer write about retail experiences that go exactly as expected.

Neither here nor there
I have had to email inquiring about my orders after not hearing anything for 10-14 days. Then after copying them my order and receipt, they sent it. Why don't they have these orders/receipts? Then, they forgot stuff in my first order. Waited, and eventually it was delivered, so I gave them another chance by ordering again. Same damn thing happened. Had to beg for my order to be shipped, then it was incomplete. Pi$$ed? You betcha.

Oooh, that sounds like a bad idea for PCBs. I would think the you'd at least want to use DI water, and more preferably, isopropyl alcohol. Tap water's never a good idea in electronics, as it is conductive. You might get away with it a few times, but in the long run, it'll bite ya. How come you haven't just asked Janty to replace it?

as long as there is no power, and you are use any cap's have discharged you can wash the while thing with soap and water and let dry very well.

do this with old coin op machines often pull board, discharge and wash, the dry in oven on warm setting works wonders

use at own risk, you must be sure all the caps are discharged before washing

Whew! The baby is home! All set up waiting, new battery, new atty all primed up with some NEW juice, some tobacco absolute, Vg, and ethyl maltol, yummy. Gotta work on it a bit before it's ready for prime time but it is tobacco, like my Grampa's pipe tobacco. Funny how one remembers smells. I was only 12 when he died.

Thanks Ethan!

Horsemaster, beautiful avatar!
I think the JS is just about the most perfect mod there could be. Doesn't roll of tables, huge cart, looong battery life and pretty durable. Have one + extra, good to go. Have finally stopped shopping all the time for batteries, loved my 801 but batteries about broke me. This was perfect!

T'would appear my stick's switch has ceased to function. The LEDs light up when the battery is inserted and also when USb is charging, as normal.... but the switch now does absolutely nothing, rendering the device pretty much useless....
The same thing just happened to mine this morning. Ah well, it could have been worse - I was in Bermuda on vacation last week. If it died then I would have been SOL! At least today it's only hours until I get home to my spare.

So I currently have a 901 with a homemade passthrough. I was thinking of getting a 501 and giving the 901 to my dad but after checking up some more on the Janty Stick I think I want that instead.

I really like the fact the battery life seems longer and for what I would buy a 501 starter set AND a passthrough I could get the Janty Stick (which already is a passthrough) for a few bucks more.

My questions are.....

1 Are the "Tawa" atomizers on jantyusa really just as good as the "real" ones?

2 Ive read a few things about using an 801 atomizer for better cart life? would I need an adapter to use a 801 atomizer then? If so Ill just order that setup instead of the extra tawa one.

Thanks

I haven't tried a TAWA atomizer yet,, but my understanding is that it's the same as the regular atomizer, just less expinsive since there's no warranty.

The stick uses an 801 atomizer (and comes with one) by default, but you'll always want to have spare atomizers. You only need an adapter if you want to use 901 atomizers or 510 atomizers (once the 510 adapter is available).

Great, thanks. After reading the website a little more carefully thats kind of what I figured. So Ill just order the stick starter set and one of the tawa atomizers.

Well, I figured I would update you guys that helped me make my decision. Well, I ended up buying another KB Classic kit and a JantyStick. I really like the Idea of the stick and it functionality, however I still perfer the KB. The stick has awesome battery life, and the built in pass thru is great. The KB IMHO produces maybe a little better quality vapor and the taste test goes to the KB for sure. It seems like the stick has a watered down flavor compared to the KB.

I really like both tho- I am very happy with my decision- and you guys helped by putting in you 2 cents. Still tho, I perfer the KB- maybe im weird, i dunno.

Anyways, 1 thing that is bugging me about the stick is the bottom corners silver pain is waering off already(assuming that you put tip up in holster)- I don't know hy, but its really bugging me- you guys have that problem- or have any tips from keeping the pain from waering? Ive only had it for a week or 2. But Ive had no function problems thank God. Anyways- I really like them both. So now I have 2 KB classic kits, The stick and a Titanium atty which I use with the stick, The titanium atty and the stick look really good together. Anyways- you guys rock thanks for the help!

artlittle: send me a PM and I'll give you the link- I have to dig the site up.

I was having the same problem. I blame it on my overfilling and dripping. When I would push on the area above the button, juice would ooze out around the black button covering. I set it upside down with the battery and the atomizer removed and drained it for two days. It started functioning beautifully again. I'm going to stick with the carts and not drip because I love my V2.
By the way, Ethan has been great at supporting me with advice throughout the whole process.
Thanks Ethan.
