So I was just making a few more coils as I'm still new to this and got some 28g kanthal. I have noticed that a lot of you leave the wick fairly long and tuck it under the coil. I went ahead and tried that. The draw is much tighter! So any newbies who notice a very airy draw. Tuck the wicks under the coil.... I guess it clogs up the center and creates a tighter draw..... If that's what you're looking for.

Same for me as well. I actually thought about going just a tiny bit bigger still but I'll wait till my others get delivered to be safe.
See, I thought it was airy at first. Now I'm used to it but I can't imagine making it bigger.

I guess it all depends on what you used before it. I've never cared for a tight draw, anything that caused me to feel like I was trying to suck a watermelon through a straw went in the trash can! lol

Heheh I smoked Camel Wides from the time they came out until I quit. They were always a touch airy-er then regular smokes. I think the 1/16 hole is pretty close to them. Although like you now that I finally managed to be done I don't even want to test to find out.
Drilled it to 1/16 and I enjoy it. I also dripped my nicotine level from 10mg to 5mg and there was a huge drop in th. Will a 26ga coil help that by dropping ohms?
Update...I went back to the larger coil because I couldn't keep a wick in the miro-micro coil. It was burning out every couple hours.
I bore my rm2's to 1/16, but i position my coils in a way that actually blocks part of the draw so it isn't loose or airy at all
Yep. Tighter draw with coil placed a bit away from the air hole = beast th.
OR
You can do a xobedriver w/ the air hole half blocked by the coil so air is going over and to the side.
Well I tried my first micro coil with some 26 kanthal A1. Needless to say I've never used 26, 28 is the lowest I've ever used. It was a disaster. Maybe tomorrow I'll try it again. (If you heat the 26 gauge up red hot and then try to touch it, It burns like hell. I got the scares to prove it.) Lots of difference between the 26, 28 and 30 that I'm use too.
