5/16 or 5/64? 5/16 is a pretty gargantuan ID. As for fluctuating... You have a loose connection somewhere. Check the legs and make sure one isn't loose.

I make mine for my VV device w/ 30awg kanthal, 17ga blunt needle ID at about 3Ω then crank it up

5/16, and you were spot on with the loose connection. Sitting nicely at 1.4. I'm happy with that!

Funny how everything I know about building and I missed the stupid stuff!! Plus after I took the picture, I noticed that one wire sticking up, so had to trim that too.

Hey all!

I decided today that I would try doing my first micro coil and use cotton with it. I'm not new to building in any way, but drippers ARE new to me as well as micro coils. Here is a shot of what I first came up with. Go easy on me HAHA, but I really would like some feedback. I'm thinking I may have to much wick first off. I biult it with 10 wraps of28 guage on a 5/16 drill bit.

My first issue is it first read 1.3 ohms, now it fluctuates between 1.3 and 2.0. It sure hits hard, but I'd like to do better.

That looks like monkey brains!!!
try wrapping on a 1/16th drill bit:)

27 ga Kanthal A1 wrapped around the .055" mold on the darkzero coil jig.

Fuse instead of spring = no arcing = no noalox = happier Russ :).

Man you can build some beautiful coils. Dreary day today. If my hands will work right, I may just have to build some coils.

Thank you :). That build vapes perfect for me. The jig I got from darkzero makes it too easy.

Good luck to you :). Plop a picture of yours on here if you get it done :)
