This is gonna sound so dumb. Do you have an o-ring sandwiched btwn the atty and the mod, liveone? I remember reading where that atty will pull some air up from underneath. And someone had said they didn't get good flavor until they put an o-ring under there. Crazy. Anyway, it needs to be the right thickness. Too fat and your + connection won't contact. Too skinny and it won't form a seal. Maybe don't worry about atty/air hole location (around the clock of the REO) when you try it, just get a good seat on it to see if it makes a difference.

btw. your wick shouldn't lay across your squonk hole. you want excess juice to be able to go back down. just a saturated wick. no extra juice sloshing around in there.

crazy... and with SuperX, Dib and Stat and Box... we are going in all directions but back... thats a good thing
Nice job Uke. Its good to see you around these parts. I remember some serious conversations we had in the 357 thread back in the day. Crazy how much better life is with an RM2 these days, right?
cant' wait for RM3...
and iterations of Jasl90's MicroGen for b/f's....!!! you got to see this

what do say Jas - *and Pdib; Micro Gen for Reo? I'm really wanting this

Actually I do pdib. In the first pic you can make it out if you look close. I put it there with the base screwed on tight so that the airhole would point away from the button. I never take the base of the rm2 off anymore.

Ukeman, I'm planning on breaking the 1ohm barrier for the first time with the 27g. Might be in tomorrow. Thanks letting me know I'm not crazy. Well, at least not for this reason anyway.

Are you having this with all juices or a particular one? Also have you tried twisted legs on your coils? The long legs add resistance to the whole thing without adding anything else to the equation. How big is your airhole? I didn't catch that if you mentioned.

Hey unloaded. Tried many juices with similar results. My airhole is stock.

I started with the coil close to the posts and it was suggested I go closer to the airhole. I feel that it does help a bit. I might try pulling back a bit with my next coil.

Thanks for your consideration.

Yeah bro, I think you got it out too far. I run mine pretty much centered over the juice hole and parallel to the posts. I also slope the coil so it's high on the juice hole side and low in the other. I'm not a real heavy TH type, so I run the assembly in general, pretty low in the bowl.

Here's a pic of my just over 1 ohm 27 ga on 17 ga needle:

Thanks drifter I'm gonna try to mimic your build tomorrow! :)

Awesome, just remember to not pull the cap off right after squonking and if you do (like I did to take those pix for ya) I highly recommend wiping the juice off the mod before you take any pics so it's not lookin all ghetto like mine :)

I wanted to use the juice level to give you an idea how high / low my coil sits :)

Juice in Dibby's squonk hole AAAAAAND juice on Supe's mod??!! The picture is evolving here!

(ha! I made another funny!)

Wife just woke me up and handed me a monster. Told me "I'm going out and you need to be awake so you can tinker when your new toy arrives" God I love this woman!

Nice wife. Are you going to be spending the winter in Fort Drum? IF you are, you have my sympathies. Snow, cold and more and more.

Yeah. I'll be here for some of the winter before leaving for Germany. Place i'm going in GR is actually colder than it is here. I don't mind it. I grew up in Rochester (Pittsford) back in the 80's when there was nothing but a c-store and a Big M with one stop light by the fire house. Had to drive to Fairport to go to the Wegmans! I've heard it's all built up now, but I haven't been back in near 20 years.

On the other hand, Wife is born/raised in FL. She was here a year ago when I got home from the sand box and it was snowing in Oct and she practically turned into a popsicle! She is in for a treat soon!

I grew up just outside Buffalo so we weren't that far apart. Wife needs a big parka and snow pants.I was raised farther north in NY right on the Canadian border just east of Malone if you know where that is. Opps...sorry about the hijack here.

Edit. Back to topic. Yes it is possible to make sub ohm coils in sub zero temperatures although its much more difficult with mittens on.

good point; legs add resistance.... they also can minimize by getting them closer to posts; good to leave some leg to adjust before clipping.

if your coil is a bit too high ohms, and you don't want to unwind, you can shorten the leg to the posts, ... or vice versa.

Okay, here's Sam's coil. He didn't say the specs on it, but I'll let him post that.

Guess my pic skills are improving. This pic came out nice.

How about 12 wraps, 27g 16 gauge Blunt Tip Luer Lock Needle 1.5 ohm.
I am not real happy with the amount of time it takes to heat up.I do like the diameter of the needle. I think that next time, I will go back to 30g. The smaller gauge would be great for a lower ohm coil. My coils are lasting about 1-2 weeks, with the cotton lasting 1-2 days. Vapor production and flavor is basically the same between 27 and 30g wire. It is just the amount of time it takes to heat up the coil. I also notice more battery drain on the 27g, probably caused by the longer heat time, requiring longer power cycles.

Let me say thanks again for the samples super!

I second that on lower awg's wire draining batteries faster. Even if you wrap them to equal ohm'age. Today i worked my standard 1 ohm coil but in 28 awg instead of 29. The flavor was hotter. I liked it. But my battery life drained about 20 percent (guesstamation) faster. Im gonna go gor a .8 coil with 29 right now to vape tomorrow. Shorter bursts on lower ohmage MIGHT be the key to a flavor cloud but with leas drain
