Posting that made me want the meat grinder.
I had the time to twist up some new magic so I made a new one.

Forgot how powerful it is.
Need to put a warning label on it.

If you are talking about stacked magic (aka meat grinder) like in my avatar it is awesome flavor and TH.
So much so it is not my daily vape, but more like a water my mouth treat.
Adjusting the separation of the coils will change TH quite a bit with my fruity juices.
Kind of a battery hog though.

I'm viewing on my phone, so I can't make out your avatar, but I wasn't talking about twisting there. What I was wondering about was a basic micro with ribbon. In my head (not having really handled any ribbon wire before), I was thinking you could either micro with the ribbon strands being right up against each other like this -----, or you could coil it so that it's more like this
-\\\\\-

Where the left edge of the next coil sits on top of the right edge of the 1st, and so on. My thought was that it would create some depth and irregularity to the inner surface of the coil->maybe holding juice better or change the dynamic of the vaporization. There wasn't any real rigorous thought behind it, just a "I wonder what that would do" kinda thing.

Re the magic--I assume you twist by keeping one end of the wire stable and twisting the opposite end. What do you use to keep the end stable while you're twisting?

Sorry, when I saw twisting I thought you were talking about magic.

Experinenting (a lot of it) for more surface area while not loosing heat or response time is what led me to magic.

As far as ribbon micros, people have tried it. Many didn't think much of it, found it difficult to keep alignment, had some problems with shorting between the coils when overlapping . .. . .

Some folks found it to be quite good, tho.

Do tell us what you think of it!

Sorry, just double checking / reiterating. Our dear Mr. Mundy had experimented with a number of Kanthal ribbon sizes, and hit upon ONE particular size that works well. Not to say that some other size won't . . .. just not all the other ones he tried. Generally speaking, be sure, all, to check the Mundy thread for specs and techniques.

Very good then . . .. off ya' go . . . . . don't mind me

Totally went with Mundy size and suggested vendor.

I'd already ordered my ribbon when I went through the Magic thread. It's not the correct size, but I'm curious to see what it's like. I mainly ordered to mess around with it. I never really thought that I'd be able to swing the Mundy. The frustrating thing right now is having only one reo and one rba to mess around with. It'd be nice to have a spare of each to play with. :D I'm also intrigued by the cyclone with the AFC. Maybe I'll hang around the classies and see if I can't catch a beat up reo at a good price to test modding it to fit the cyclone/AFC combo.

Who am I kidding? I've got two kids under three--my wife'd kick my ... if I tried to drop another wad on another reo and rba. Oh, well. To dream...

Couple feet worth of magic dropped in the mail to the bearded tree just moments ago. We'll have a new convert soon

I'm almost afraid to try it. I fear that I'll like it so much that I'll have to make some.. :p I have some .5X1mm ribbon sitting in the vape drawer. Everytime I open the drawer...it looks at me and I look at it...and I say "Mundy's Magik? Naw, not right now".

Now, if some enterprising, entrepreneurial types wanted to sell me some I'd be all over it...cause I'm lazy.
