Morning Kayte!! Although I understand the concept of the brag thread, I don't like that you can't be there.:( I guess I would like to see the "brag" back here where you get to participate.....and we "brag" right here. I personally liked the way it was with everyone here.

So, here's wishing you and Doug a great St. Patty's Day!!:) I wore your tip like "this" yesterday.:)

So, Kayte, I know you have been thinking and planning all winter, lol! Now I want to know what you are going to surprise us with?

I bet you have all kinds of combinations swirling around in your head, and I need some hints! ;) Pine needles, more beautiful dried petals? Maybe some moss or feathers? I can't wait to find out!

Anything but bugs, noooo bugs!!! LOL

Catcat, been thinking on your post about where to "brag" and where Kayte can participate. We still can post here to thank Kayte and Doug for their wonderfully glorious tips, and then straight away post them to the "brag" thread......sorta use that thread as our communal album! Whaddaya think? :D

Edit: I might go for a ladybug. :)

What a weekend..... I started on my sewing projects and made two nightgowns and a sun dress for Ella....I'm pretty proud of myself..learning how to sew via you tube and books (I do have people I could call 911 if needed but I was able to understand the pattern of choice so all went well). There are mistakes in all three pieced, my granddaughter won't notice or care..and I just figure it's part of the learning process. My goal is to learn what I'm doing before I sew something important like a prom dress or something many years down the road.

Kayte I think the idea of making one or two special orders a day is the perfect place to start.

Bugs, hmm, I have a feeling Kayte could come up with something some would like, but I know it would have to be something like colorful butterfly wings for me.

But that made me thinkin, and wonder if it would be possible. A steampunk block? Use teeney tiny gears from a pocket watch or something in the resin?

Ahhh Choo, it's just me. I don't understand why we split it up or why we can't brag right here on Kayte's thread. I also liked the chit chat in-between a growing "family". It just means I have to bounce back and forth now and the conversations and comments amongst each other are now split up.......just me....I'll live.;) It's a one man one woman team and I want Kayte to have time to play and create which is what she was happy doing.

Aww. That's really sweet of you. I'm okay Cat! I'm enjoying peeking in on the thread and seeing all of the tips there and Doug and I both just feel so honored that you guys would want to 'brag' on your tips. That's seriously wonderful to us and makes us feel pretty warm and fuzzy.
Love that set up!!!!
I'm using my soft green loofah acrylic tip today. It is so pretty and perfect to have in my hand for green. I wouldn't want to be pinched. ;)

Are you sure on the bugs? We've been invaded by little black ants and well....

I actually am thinking moss. And tiny pinecones. Together. :D
I'm not sure about pine needles because they're quite oily. I'm not sure the resin would react well with them. But who knows. I could pour a blank and let it sit for awhile to see!
Absolutely on more flower petal/potpourri tips! I have lots of containers of petals waiting!
I've also wondered about drying lemon, orange and lime peel. If I can figure out how to dry them so that they retain good color, wouldn't that be fun?!

I have a few other ideas but well, somethings shouldn't be revealed before their time. ;)

That's great! I'm not a very good seamstress and working with patterns has always frustrated me. My mom was an amazing seamstress (made all our clothes, her clothes and even made my dad dress shirts.) She tried to teach me.

My grandmother made a few things for me, too and I cherish the memory of her doing it. I asked her to make some fairly wacky things in my teens and she was such a good sport.

No little ants for you either?

A steampunk block would be interesting! Doug might nix that idea because of having to turn it and not have it shatter, but I might be able to figure something out. ;)

Those look just wonderful together! Seriously seriously love it!!! I never would have expected paw prints to tie into 'elegant' so well. You did amazing with choosing what you wanted!

I got the last part of a big order today that I had placed last week for sparkly endeavors. Oh my!!! Colors colors colors! I get to start playing with them this evening after dinner. Speaking of which... Doug just came in the door ready to eat. Good think I just have to zap it tonight!

Oooh! I love the loofah tip! It's cloudy and then clear and such a pretty sea foam green color. It's elegant. :)

Not for sale.

I had to make a little video of it so you can see it all the way around! I included my purple sparkle tip that adorns the top of my protank2 with purple glass, on my white mini provari. The silver I added to it makes it a perfect match with the white. :D

Greetings from the achey-breaky-shaky capital of the world..... we sure know how to bring in St. Patrick's Day with flair ... ;)

Earthquake strongly felt across Los Angeles

I saw the news KD. and you know....10 seconds of shaking is a LONG time when your smack dab experiencing it. Were you sleeping when it happened and woke you up scaring you half to death??:shock:

Glad you're okay Kat!!!

I LOVE this little gif!!!! That was pretty much me this morning..... but I think there was a couple of additional words in that sentence.... that began with an "F". ;)

Oh catcat. Was it only 10 seconds? LOL, yes I was asleep and I dunno about the "1/2" part... It was completely frightening. It prolly hit many of us as REALLY scary because we experienced the Northridge quake of 1994 (also on the 17th of the month, also a full moon quake), and it was like reliving that. John, were you here in '94?

The epicenter was just a few miles from where I live. Yeah, we felt it...

So, you were close too? I could prolly walk to the epicenter (other than the fact that it was 5 miles deep).

KD the good thing is from what I've heard there was no major damage or injury. This old Iowa Gal has dealt with tornados but I've got a feeling if the ground started shaking below me I'd be scared to death:laugh:

IG, so true. I believe it was less damaging than most. Thankfully! I understand. We ALL have some super mother natural conditions that cause outright fear. Sorry, but a tornado scares the you-know-what outta me!!!!!!!

I just know I'd end up with the Wizard. ;)
