PhilB has put up his review of the istick. Nice little device but not an MVP killer IMO. Nice alternative or backup but not a replacement. I would still recommend an MVP to a person looking to move up from a starter kit.

I suspect part of the MVP 11 watt limit is because at the time of release, it was a safe amp limit for the battery pack. In the short time I have been vaping, 18650 amp ratings have gone up and up. The MVP 3 may get a boost in watts just from the battery technology advances.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the MVP3 have the DNA40D chip.

I thought I had read that there was some customization done so that it would be unique for Innokin, but I agree... likely to be a variant of an existing DNAXX. Possibly Evolv worked as an ODM with Innokin for this as well as to bring the price point down and so Innokin wouldn't be 100% reliant on Elolv moving forward.

I do not have access to all of the information about the MVP3.0 however at this time I can state the following:

There will be more than one edition. One will be at a lower price point that will be at least 30W as well as an advanced edition that will run a customized Evolv chipset with precise higher wattage and feature new advances in technology which take it above and beyond the competition. There may be another very innovative model which will be launched in the future as well.
The MVP3.0 will continue to have the device recharging feature which has made the MVP2.0 so useful and popular. It has also been designed to be durable.
The MVP3.0 will have a larger battery capacity than the MVP2.0.
We have listened to the community and the upgraded MVP3.0 form factor as well as the position of power button and micro-usb charging port.
The iTaste MVP3.0 will have a high quality OLED screen.
I know the engineering team understands the value of the spring loaded connector.
The device is designed to be durable and I believe has some of the same upgrades as the SVD2.0 including modular easy to repair components and other advancements.
We have worked closely with Brandon and John and the Evolv edition will have a customized chip and feature innovative top of the line vaping technology.
We are hoping to have one of the editions available in time for Christmas and as soon as I have more information I will announce it first here on Reddit.
We do not have prices available yet however affordability is a key factor.

I have to say, this looks pretty good to me. 30watts is more than enough for me, so if the price of that one is reasonable, Ill prolly buy one. Hopefully they stick with high PWM so the MVP stays as smooth and quiet as a Provari. I could see the Evolv edition pushing some really beastly coil setups with a minimum of fuss which the MVP is known for, though I dont think I would really need its capacity.

I'm just hoping that the new power button position also involves an easier to push power button. I would really like something that I can use that has a longer battery life than the VV v3s, and I even with padding the button on the MVP is an issue for me. I had fond hopes for the Eleaf iStick, but I'm a very low wattage vaper so that's not going to work.

Has anyone had a problem with the MVP where vapor production drops off until I crank the voltage up. I have it set to 8.5 runs great for an hour then it's makes crap vapor. Crank it up to 9 and it's fine again. Any idea?

I don't think it's the MVP as much as it is the BVC heads, they will, in my experience anyway, require more power the older, and more gunked up they get...

Do you have a voltmeter device by chance that you can put between your MVP and tank? This may help you to determine if the MVP2 is dropping it's output...

If by volt meter you mean multimeter then yes I have a craftsmanship digital meter.

I actually meant one of the devices that goes between your MOD and TANK.

Ok then. I was thinking if you had one... then you could watch your general voltage and see if the issue voltage required to hit the wattage you want it changing much... just wondering if it's the tank or if perhaps your MVP isn't regulating the output well enough. The difference is only about 0.12V on a 1.9Ω coil.

When I have watched my voltage on the MVP2 (in wattage mode), I normally see the voltage start at 1 setting and then after about 1 second I see it settle to a different voltage. Example... on a 1.9Ω coil... I am watching it start at 3.80V and then jump up to 3.97V (when it should be 4.02V if the resistance was still 1.9)... when I move it up to 9Ω, I see it start at 3.88V and then settle at 4.07V (even though it should settle at 4.12V if the resistance was still 1.9).

I would be interested to see what others find when checking their own devices.

I would also be interested to know if your vapor production goes back to the expected level if you simply take off the tank and put it back and/or raise and lower your wattage back.

It could still just be the coil... but it sounds like this isn't normal for you and it's happening with multiple coils/heads...
