Ok then. I was thinking if you had one... then you could watch your general voltage and see if the issue voltage required to hit the wattage you want it changing much... just wondering if it's the tank or if perhaps your MVP isn't regulating the output well enough. The difference is only about 0.12V on a 1.9Ω coil.

When I have watched my voltage on the MVP2 (in wattage mode), I normally see the voltage start at 1 setting and then after about 1 second I see it settle to a different voltage. Example... on a 1.9Ω coil... I am watching it start at 3.80V and then jump up to 3.97V (when it should be 4.02V if the resistance was still 1.9)... when I move it up to 9Ω, I see it start at 3.88V and then settle at 4.07V (even though it should settle at 4.12V if the resistance was still 1.9).

I would be interested to see what others find when checking their own devices.

I would also be interested to know if your vapor production goes back to the expected level if you simply take off the tank and put it back and/or raise and lower your wattage back.

It could still just be the coil... but it sounds like this isn't normal for you and it's happening with multiple coils/heads...

Very interesting. I will see if taking The tank off makes a difference next time it happens. If I lower wattage it will pick up vapor production that way I like it.

I have pretty much been using the same setting for weeks now and one coil usually last around a week. I have been using 50/50 liquids with 6mg nic. Usually on biggest air hole.

I wouldn't doubt that I Bought a pack of dud coils I buy a 5 pack at a time. And can't recall this issue happening before the last pack I purchased.

Thank you for your input.

Hi folks. Just noticed this thread and garnered some really useful info from it so far.

I thought I'd introduce myself, I'm a new (2 days now) MVP V2 owner, been vaping for about 2 months and was getting fed up with poor vapes from my starter ego-T battery with a bottom coil EVOD tank. Since getting the box I'm gobsmacked with how good it is. I was planning on also getting a nautilus or mini, but so far I'm enjoying the iclear 30 that came with it.

Anyhoo, hope to hang around in here from time to time, and get to know you all a bit better.

Vape on!

Welcome! 3 month vaper here, had my MVP a month now and love it!!

The iClear was alright but lemme tell ya.. Rip out those Evod coils and wrap your own! My Evods and Protank are on a whole new level now since I started making micro coils for em a couple days ago!! You probably won't wanna waste the money on a Natilus after that!

Welcome Agent75! Sando's got some rockin' setups.

I'm sporting Nautiluses (full and Mini) as well as some PT2s. I have a few different kayfun clones (including minis) that work pretty well with the MVP :)

I actually pulled out one of my original iClear 30 tanks this week, and it's been pretty reasonable on the MVP. I am less fond of the tighter draw, but it hasn't been unvapable.... I do prefer the bottom (single) coil tanks. The Nautis are pretty awesome, and even the PT2s (with additional airflow controller) are wonderful. I can at least rebuild my PT2 heads (with all my previous EVOD tanks ;) )

Good Luck and Vape On :vapor:

come on peeps post them pic's today, let's see-um :p

almost forgot you gotta have Joooooze too!

This was within reach and quick to post... that nicotine has been at room temp, and is the last of mine to have been stored like that.

2p3Gat2perc.jpg

That's about 9L of 2% juice after mixing... that glass in the middle is just where I dump waste materials from cleaning etc,... but I thought it would be nice to throw in the pic since it has the skull and cross-bones... which actually glow in the dark.

I'm sure before long though, someone is going to post a pic of a bathtub completely filled with 1+Gal Nic bottles from from the deep freezer along with shelves of flavorings ;)

If I had the dough, I might seriously consider getting a few 55-gallon drums of nic and storing them in a walk-in freezer.

You really can't just jump on whatever anyone says. Just gotta try it for yourself. BUT if you find something that satisfies... stop. Yer done! If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Well...I LOVED my MVP2's...enough to buy 3 of 'em. Thought I was "set".

Then a week ago I decided to try an iStick. WOW!!!

It's about $7 cheaper than an MVP2, 2200 mAh, about 3/4 the height, 1/2 the width, 1/2 the weight, has an easily clickable fire button on the side and goes to 20 Watts (I prefer my Aspire 1.8Ω BVC coils at 12-14 Watts).

I had originally figured I'd replace my MVP2's (when they "died") with iSticks. But after one day of using the indescribably comfortable (in the hand) iStick...the MVP2 just feels like a brick. (So I'm now planning on buying 2-3 more iSticks and PIFing my MVP2's.)

As in everything vaping related...YMMV. But if you're interested in checking one out...VapeNW usually has the cheapest price:

Thanks for the review... you are swaying me to give one a go... need to see if a local B&M has them on display.

:offtopic:

bought a hole saw set from Harbor Freight today and was messing around and made this simple mod holder out of a CD case, holds 2 26650 and 6 22mm Mods.......when i get a little extra cash i'm getting some nice wood from home depot and make a beaut.

I like the CD spool idea in itself.

I already started making a general purpose stand... 23 holes to stand drip tips, 6 places to hold tanks by their 510 connector... behind those 6 tanks are raised and cut out areas to accommodate the 6 bottles of juice in the tanks (up to 30+mL bottles fit), then behind all of that are some general purpose areas for things like eGo style batts etc. I'll get a pic up once I'm happy with it... still working in MDF.

I really do like the spool based holder though... if you glued the plastic insert (piece that looks like a CD that normally come in these) to the wall... I'm pretty sure you could make it spin as a slothy susan too.

I'm a big MVP2 and Vamo5 user and the day I got my first iStick I ordered 3 more......no regrets. As mentioned in an earlier post you will not believe how comfortable the iStick is to hold and it Is just about perfect for the average vaper. No sub-ouming on the iStick.
Evape.us has the iStick for $34.99 and it includes the ego adapter, charging cable and wall plug.

i either need to make about 6 of these that i made above....or a real nice Tier style...the situation is i have about 30+ Mec's i done lost count, several box mods, mods i have packed up and retired and a slew of Atty's & Tips, so i gotta do some serious cyphering (jethro style) and make something that looks good and is appropriate for the space i have available.......wish i could figure something i could hang on the wall rite beside where i sit and watch tv & vape ......whatever i make it will be out of some real nice wood and i'll sand & finish it proper.

thanks......sometimes simple is best tho, cause i'm always grabbing a certian 8 to 10 mods only out of the bunch (my fav's)

believe me a nice 1 to 1.4 single coil will give you a very nice vape with what you plan to use..........the more i vape the more i like higher resistance even on my Mec's, the flavor is fantastic as long as the build/air-flow is good.....enjoy!

I'm thinking it might be time to visit the classy-fied subforum to offload a few things... but that's just me thinking about the newbs.

If ya really want to keep all of that up on the wall in a decent fashion... I would suggest that you go with hinged shelving. Basically... a few shelved surfaces that are hinged to the wall upright... so you can turn them like pages of a book (if the wall was the spine of the book)... on which, various apertures would be cut out to accommodate the widths of your various mech mods (just like in your CD spindle). The shelves would be distanced (top to bottom) only enough for the mech mods themselves... in order to remove a mech mod you would need to pull the mod from the top... which would reveal that the shelves are also hinged to the hanging surface from the bottom of the shelf and would angle out (top to bottom) so that you could lift a mod up and out of the holder.

But hey... that's just my suggestion. Unless you make your own hinges (not that difficult), the hardware (hinges) are the real expense.
