man what's left of my brain cells are working overtime now, the late 60's & 70's were rough :D
i was looking at some nice store bought ones i really liked until i saw the prices, un-real!

Kinda same here... I re-used an old pipe ashtray & stand I had for my vape stuff... figured it would be nice if we had stands... looked up stands and wasn't impressed with what you get for the money... It is cool that some of them actually have connectors embedded, but that's not what I want... I just want something that securely holds various tanks along with bottles of the juice that is within those tanks.

I figure there are a lot of people making their own. I did break down and buy one of the Hexcoil jigs though a while back.

I don't like the ones that hold 9000 mods and juices. Then I figger I gotta find a place it'll fit and then I have to go where it is. I just make some small ones. Some for the puter, some for the shelf. Some for juice, some for DIY.

And prices... yeah. Instead of paying 10 or $15 (or more) you can make one for 10 or 15 cents. And custom so exactly what you need.

Yup, they look good... funny what you can do with a router, drill press and the bits!

The one thing I would note, is I wasn't looking at any $15 ones... I was talking more like $100+

I hope everyone is happy with their iSticks. One of my fears about them is it the 510 threading. The pics I have seen of the top plate are some kind of metal with grinder marks and covered with chrome. I don't see any kind of insert for the threads. I suspect the metal is soft and will start to strip out after a while like the Vamos do. There have been miss-fire complaints. We haven't seen them long enough to know if there are going to be issues with the battery or charging parts.

I know my MVP works well, has a smooth signal and fires me every time for more than a day. I can wait to see how the iStick turns out in the longer run and see what Innokin comes up with next.

I like the CD spool idea in itself.

Me too. and it got me thinking. If I can find a short one (25 disc?), cut holes for my clearos.
Put something on the base to catch any leaks.

But if the height is right, I can set them in upside down while I clean/replace the coil/wick.
I've tried a few single holder ideas but none were ever stable enough, but the CD spool would be.

Maybe a few larger holes to hold 30 and/or 50mL bottles and clean up the mess I have on the table.

well i think i'm gonna make a pot of coffee and break out some Tribeca :vapor:
How is the Tribeca? My favorite RY4s so far agree CC Vapes Mystik and ITC Vapes Silver... More tobacco and caramel... I didn't like MBVs GWARy4 at all, tasted like cigar and unsweetened cocoa to me...

Well...I LOVED my MVP2's...enough to buy 3 of 'em. Thought I was "set".

Then a week ago I decided to try an iStick. WOW!!!

It's about $7 cheaper than an MVP2, 2200 mAh, about 3/4 the height, 1/2 the width, 1/2 the weight, has an easily clickable fire button on the side and goes to 20 Watts (I prefer my Aspire 1.8Ω BVC coils at 12-14 Watts).

I had originally figured I'd replace my MVP2's (when they "died") with iSticks. But after one day of using the indescribably comfortable (in the hand) iStick...the MVP2 just feels like a brick. (So I'm now planning on buying 2-3 more iSticks and PIFing my MVP2's.)

As in everything vaping related...YMMV. But if you're interested in checking one out...VapeNW usually has the cheapest price:

Istick Simple Pack 20W by Eleaf 510 Adapter Shiped from USA | eBay

I'm with you. I liked the MVP2 but the fire button was too much for me. The iStick is sweet, it does fire a bit hot, so I need to use 1.8BVC heads, the 1.6s are too hot even at the lowest setting for me. Using it on and off since I got it, I just now recharged it for the first time - figure I got about 20hrs out of the charge it came with. I am a low-wattage vapor so the battery life is just crazy good.

Remember the Vamo 510 fix? Place an ego/510 adapter in place from the start and leave it there. Put the wear on the adapter not on the unit. I have an old Vamo V2 with much use and the connector is like new.

For me, I am not planning to swap toppers on my iStick, so the only time it will come off is for filling. I (hope) assume that If I am careful, it won't become an issue for me. Plus the topper I use has a spring-loaded tip, so I hope that will help as well. I use a "Silo Lite" and like it very much. I've ordered some 2.1 BVC heads which will allow my low-wattage type vaping.
