Happy Turkey day my American friends

i keep forgetting your not in the States

enjoy the P.V. it's a good rda with an easy build for dual coils and good airflow.

Having a weird issue with my 4 month old MVP. It's always had an occasional issue where if I hold down the wattage button it takes up to 8-10 seconds to respond, or doesn't respond at all. It always worked the second try, and only happened maybe once every week or two. Now in the last week it's happening all the time. I mostly use Aspire BVC coils at 10-11 watts, in the last couple days using wattage mode either I barely get any flavor or my juices taste burnt and the vapor seems hotter than normal. Multiple clearos, multiple juices, and tried replacing the coils. I put it in voltage mode and cranked it up to 5 volts, they taste fine. The ohms meter seems to be working fine. Seems like a glitch or defective hardware.

Hmmm... only 4 months old huh,...do you have an inline voltmeter or such so you can see what the output is around when in wattage mode to see if that's where the issue is... what happens if you just press and release the 'P' button over and over? It should show you the puff counter and then start cycling through wattage settings after around 10 clicks or so versus having to press and hold the 'P' button.

Neither the P or the V button does anything when quickly pressed about 20 times. I don't have a voltmeter or anything to check it. In wattage mode I might randomly get a couple decent puffs,a couple that seem lower power, or a couple that seem hot/burnt.

You don't quickly press the P or U, press and hold. If I quickly press, I get nothing.

Works on mine. First it shows puff count, some of the time that goes away and it shows puff count again and then it cycles through the wattage levels. I figure I am clicking the button fast enough that it avoids their debounce code. I think it would be useful in the case of contact being broken when you try to just hold the button down. I just timed it and I seem to be pressing about 2-3 times per second. I may have a different firmware revision.

You already checked your ohms meter function, and since wattage mode requires checking the resistance, I would have went down the path of checking that myself. We don't know if the firmware recycles the same resistance check code though or how it's implemented, so sure... it could be a glitch in that section. Could be a loose connection that is only an issue in certain orientations too I guess.

This picture is old, but I find these types of devices to be helpful in situations like this...

Mine works like Paul's.
Same here. Gotta hold em down a sec or two.. Now I CAN hit both real quick and it will show resistance/battery, but in order to change v/w it takes a couple secs.

I know I wouldn't want those buttons to be able to adjust my settings in my pocket..

I think pocket adjustments are a good reason for the off function.

I have a couple of them, and they both work the same way... the serial numbers are between IK072-86403200 and IK072-86406000.
