Oh well... The only way I wouldn't have been interested in the 3.0 version now would be if I hadn't gone with the 20W as well as invested in other higher power 30w, 50w, and even a 150w mod! The 2.0 still in great shape and working order will now simply sit packed as a spare or for someone new to vaping to come along and I simply pass ti along for them to have something other then an eGo battery to work with. Have a few possibilities lined up already. :D
That's exactly what I did with one of my 2.0s, PIFd it to my bro in law... I really want another Cana 30 but just don't have the $60 to get one... That's why I'm trying to pick up one of the super cheap ones...

Well when you have $60 you can get more then 30w! Try a 50w ECig V9 I picked out for $50 even after 10%($2.53) got knocked off that on 12/22 and then $61.99 for a 150w Luxyoun! Smoktech has a few new ones like the BT50 and M65 coming down sharply along with a number of other compacts. smok also has an XPro M22 22w mod for $32,99

The iStick 30 under $40 with another 50w on the way sometime.

For the MVP 2.0 that sort has some sentimental value and why I was glad I could pack it away while still good for going to look back one day and be able to show someone the first box mod here along with the first starter kits but not the disposables I tried out first before running into Bloog stuff before the Vamo V2, eGo Twists, and a Vision Spinner proceeded the 2.0 ordered on 10/30/13.

evape.us has the new Smok xPro M65 65w box mod marked down from $70 to $49.99 at the moment. I was comtemplating the iStick 50w coming soon but just got word in the last couple of days another 50w ordered in December as well as the 150w wooden mod ordered on the 1st of the year are both shipped and likely due in early next week once both have gone through customs.

On the MVP20w....

Under heavy use, How long do you guys expect it to last?

I figure if I get over 8 months before the battery dies I'm happy.

Unreasonable?

Thanks

Eric

going by, it looks to have the SAME guts as the V2 (2600mah battery)
switches, display & what-not

mine are going on 1½ years of heavy use and still performing top notch !

jus sayin'

:)

Easily a year!
I have had mine for a few weeks now, and vape it at 4 volts 15 watts, on my Eleaf Lemos. The Lemos are performing better than ever, and I am going through more juice, and still do not have to recharge it any more than I did/do my current MVPs.
My MVP 20s are my go to devices, along with my REO's.

While you guys are marching on, this relative newbie is till VERY much enjoying her MVP2s. I was having Kanger tank problems and was ready to throw it up against the wall. Something made me stop and go "Hmmmmm". I stuck it on the MVP and voila!! It was dead as a doornail. I changed the coil in it, and BAM, FINALLY the beast is acting right. Which leads me to believe the coil that came pre-installed was mostly dead already.

Good news!
It is handy to have either a mod that checks ohms of your coils or an ohm meter to put the coil on so it can be checked. Lets you know if your coil is not doing what it is supposed to do.

Yup, having a way to check ohms and diagnose is a real handy tool. One of the big advantages for new folks stepping up to mod from ego type batteries. Having a factory funky coil is by no means unusual. If it happens all the time then find a new supplier but it is not unusual for one to be bad out of the box. Some times you can play around with them and find the short but for your purposes and the relative low price, it is just easier to chuck it and replace.

Dump the Kanger tank and with the MVP 2.0 try running a Nautilus Mini or Smok Tumbler on that while the Mini will work out on the MVP 20W too! I've had nothing but problems with Kanger tanks leaking and poor performance and had stayed with the Smok line until the lastest Aspire offerings were out. You pay more for tanks that don't leak and don't seem to go through coils!

As for the MVP 2.0 here I ordered that at the end of October 2013 and plan to see that still working next fall! With several batteries as well as several mods the three batteries(one eGo mini two eGo-V 1300 one within the first two weeks) and only one Smok Groove II mod have been the only ones to go belly up on me so far! I am hoping the pair of iSticks hold up as well for a lengthy period of time at least but bought the second to spare for the first after not wanting another Smok Groove II mishap! The other mods since including the VTR still in primo condition see replaceable batteries over the sealed leaving only the two MVPs and pair of iSticks. I suspect the MVP 20W being better made will live a bit longer.

I like the Kanger Protank2's a lot. Work well, no leaks, lotsa flavor.
To each his own, I guess.
