MVP Owners Group-into the next generation…

Received my new MVP 20W last night. Been vaping it strong ever since. Love this new device! Same SOLID build quality and loooong battery life of my MVP 2.0 plus the new spring loaded 510. Blows away my iSticks (2 of the 4 we have are dead.)!

The 20W doesn't seem any different from the 2.0 besides the 510 not 510/eGo neck sticking up type connector and the higher wattage range which was why the 2.0 wasn't going to work for the Nautlilus tanks at all. With the removable eGo adapters I could still run a Tumbler on it but now I won't be limited due to the 2.0's limited 6-11w range. Other then that still feels the same.

I have a pair of iSticks here not having one bit of problems it seems others are having. Guess I was the one who made out except for the one tiny spring in one of the bending adapters. Can't complain any other then that however!

Reading up on these I noticed they are not so well received.

Personally I like the wood finish but the battery cover being attached with screws is not a good thing.

Overall not that impressive IMHO.

Eric

The DovPo E-LVT 30w is another mod with a single screw for the battery cover for the "Indestructable" mod as they call that one where like the Luxyoun and a number of other new mods you can simply leave the battery in and charge it there. There wasn't too information on either that or the ECig V9 50w mod due in soon as well I decided to look into.

ECIG V9 50W MOD.jpg

That I spotted at Vaping Deals and decided to take a chance on due to the price seen at the time since the rest of the 50Ws were pulling in $100 or more! Even the ZNA 50 I grabbed for $75 was marked down $25 off of the vendor's regular price while it was the only place found that had the battery tubes in black as well as the main body. For only $11 more when someone had been asking about the Luxyoun I figured that might good to have onhand once newer tanks came out that can handle the higher wattages.

Yep. Same great build quality. The 510 vs/ego is huge for me.

They seem to be fine for some. My wife has 2 and I have 2. All purchased around the same time from 2 separate venders. My wife's are fine. The 510's on mine are shot. I do use Aero bases on my tanks so I'm sure that had something to do with it, but it shouldn't.

Ok, a year later...

First MVP2... great. Died after about 10 months. But vaped well while it was alive and lasted all day.

Second MVP2... same good vape. But after about 2 months... has to be charged after about 4 or 5 hours.

So while they are great, they are throwaways. Nothing beats a replaceable battery mod IMO.

YMMV

Been using my mpv 2.0 for 2 weeks and so far very pleased. needs charging once a day. Are they guaranteed by innokin and if so how long for. love the iclear 16b with matching paintwork that came with it. The way I look at it is it cost less than 2 weeks worth of smoking so it's a real winner. I get my juice from the 99p store so I'm going through at the most 5 pounds of juice a week plus 2.50 for an atomiser so about 7.50 a week. doesn't get any cheaper than this.
Vape on and live long.

:( Sorry they didnt work out for you. Im not even 10 months into vaping yet, so I cant give it a thumbs up or down on that timescale :p

I look at it like this: was it cheaper than cigs? If the answer is yes (and it is by far), then its worth it. I havent smoked in almost 8 months, and the MVP is a big part of why. I see your point though- I might look into one with a replaceable battery in the future.

I think the MVP is great for those who want to buy one device (or 2) and minimize complexity with their setup; once you get into drippers and elaborate coil setups, there are better options to be had. I am no expert here though, so just throwing my thoughts out there :)

What mods do you like the most?

:2c:

I hear ya…
funny how individual perception lands in each of us
you think she pretty, I don’t / you like creamy, I like extra crunchy
guess that’s the description of ‘humans’…

my MVPs are over a year old and with daily use
seem to still be performing if not the same, very close to
as they did when bought…

had one replaceable battery mod (inherited) and gave it up QWIK !
$40 bucks for a throw away doesn’t bother me, and then considering
the alternative - - a big win, win… (smoking)

all ego are throw aways and remember, the MVP is just a fancy ego
(tho it is starting to advance beyond that)

Vape≈On

MVP, the best vaping experience in the world
functionality - dependability - price
nothing comes close

Here I had to use the eGo adapter when first getting the pair in and then went for the bending adapters prior to ordering a pair of Nautilus Mini tanks. With those in use I avoided the problem that others kept running into as far as the threading while one spring popped out on one of the adapters instead. Kind of a different form of irony you could say!

The one and only 2.0 here didn't get the millage on it that the Smok Groove II and eGo-V batteries ended up seeing since it was then to become a secondary mod until eventually having the second mod stand made up for me by a second vendor of those. I ended up replacing the Groove II with the VTR and just lately replacing that with the iSticks and the 30w E-LVT plus other mods.

The 20W not sits in the first stand where the 2.0 had previously been now offering the support for the Nautilus 5ml tank that sits on it and has that same effect for the most part only with the extra watts. I suspect if no defect that your second saw comes up it will continue to last at least as long as the previous 2.0 version. Innokin retained the quality with the upgrade there. But with the other higher power mods I will be passing on the 3.0 version.

Y'all must vape like some freight trains. I only have to charge my MVP once every two days. Nirvana!!

I have noticed that I vape more now since I got my MVP20W.

Such a wonderful device.

It is new tho so I can not testify to longevity at all.

I find myself using the charge while you vape feature a lot more than I thought .

Fantastic.

Never even hit anything below the green light now.

It also fits in my hand just great.

I understand there are a lot of devices out there that probably would suit me just as well (if not even better)

Reality for me personally is that it really hit the spot.

And I thank this forum for it as I probably would not have gotten one at a great price otherwise.

USB Pass through isn't anything new! The iTaste VV v3.0s as well as the various numbers of other VW type batteries and mods where you can charge the battery while still in the mod if not the factory sealed type have been seeing this for a few years now.

It certainly helps when you only have one of a kind and the battery needs to be recharged and you only have that one to vape with. The only drawback seen when vaping while charging is if you have a certain flavor you run warmer at 8w or higher the default what ever that is will then be what you get for the cooler vape.

Hey, it's the first device I ever owned with the pass through feature and I really have become to appreciate it.

Early on before I ever got into any 510/eGo type stuff I I found myself buying spares of everything. The old 808 cig size batteries never saw passthrough while the brand had a regular pass through only not quite a battery but a connector with a handle on it for an option. I bought a number of the first brand's 65mm automatic batteries along with the corded pass through tried out for the times the regular batteries were plugged in for charging.

Then while in conversations with someone else who had then only recent started vaping he mentioned preferring manual batteries which sounded odd at first. Then a full year had passed by when knowing I needed batter tanks not 1.6ml top coiled stuff any longer and besides the tanks looked over further discussions with others lead to the MVP2.0 to be followed after on the 2013 Black Friday looking for the best deals on the VV v3.0s.

It was only later when getting into the first eGo-V V3 Mega batteries the subject of usb pass through came up again as I was comparing those to the regular eGo batteries as well as the Twists and Spinners which saw none of that. Now the difference seen with those batteries compared to the Innokin stuff as far as the MVP and VV V3s is you need to have them left on or turn them before plugging them in. The VTR wasn't one to see that option however.

Apparently for the flavor you have in the tank it is! I find a good number of them that won't vape well once the watts go up since ofteh they came out before the newer higher wattage tanks were around. If the flavor has been sold for a year or more this is likely the case as until late last year you didn't much over15w for Vamos and some other APVs until someone came out with a 25watter. I find several by one vendor like that while newer ones can be cranked way up! On the Atlantis some not over 25w while others turned up 40-50w without the hot bite effect!

Just got the mvp 20 watt,
I seem to be getting a burnt taste after 15 watts with the nautilus mini bvc 1.8, is this normal.

hello jymkym1, well glad to hear you got the MVP 20W ;)

burnt is a result of bad wicking (dry wick)

either to much heat applied, or coil wick is dry

are you sure you started off with a good wet wick ?

or did it start off ok, then start giving off burnt ? (insufficient fluid)

turn power down, close up air flow and vape like that awhile
until it breaks in, then slowly start opening things up some...

BUT, if your 'burnt' the guts inside the coil itself
it is almost no chance of recovering THAT coil without a rebuild :(

maybe try ANOTHER coil, but be sure to start low power/low air
(tight air will 'pull' more fluid into wick)

hope you get it figured

:)

I have been using the nautilus mini for a couple of weeks now on the mvp 2.0 at 11 watts no problem, no burnt taste. I just got the 20 watt and when I push it above say 12 I start to get the burnt taste, I will try tightening up the air flow, if that doesn't work I will try different juice once or a new coil. On a side note can the bvc heads be cleaned?
