I like the Kanger Protank2's a lot. Work well, no leaks, lotsa flavor.
To each his own, I guess.

I'm the same: I'm pretty happy with my aerotanks. If I have a problem, it's usually my own doing, like messing up my coil rebuild/rewicking or not screwing the head properly into the base.

I never got around to the Protank IIs like I was going to and ended up going for two of the Aerotank Mini tanks and one Mega tank. The Mini tanks would leak as I kept finding the levels way down on each attempt after making sure they were tightened up. The main problem however besides that was with the air flow controller needing to be in just the right spot or nothing came out! The Aspire tanks on the other hand have a notch for each hole to lock them inplace to a degree and you can tell if one gets bumped off a little.

I double checked everything to make sure the coils didn't loosen up at all and still kept running into the same problems. I think I ended up with some duds. And now I have to wonder about the new sub ohm mini tanks that Kanger has in the works since I was considering those for possible use on an mech epipe that presently is running the Kraigen Atlantis on top the Atlantis base for the large capacity.

SMOK GUARDIAN I MECH EPIPE Mod.jpg

Surprisingly the 1200mah 18350 batteries are lasting longer in that then with the new 6-15w Guardian II Smoktech has out! The MVP 20W will continue to see a 5ml Nautilus on top of that however.

Love Kanger products, I have high praise for Kangertech

they have been very good to me, I cut my teeth on them...

way back I got the MVP and in the same order, a mini T3S
today I have been using that T3S on my old EVOD 650 batt (from old kit)
mini T3S/1.6Ω cotton coil on the 650mah putting out 3.7v - working ideal !

the bulk of the burdon to keep me off smokes came from T3S & EVOD’s I guess...
the mini protank was big for a time and worked very good

I got and tried the Kanger T2 (because of Capt’n) and they performed great
they wouldn’t stand up to my brutal wife tho, and I didn’t like that they don’t
come apart, then coil building those are a chore, but a great vaping unit…

then evolution made me try the T3'D

now I grown fond of the SMOK clearos with Kanger bcc coils (and Smok coils)

the SMOK NBC is now 1st choice for me… (with the RBC a close 2nd)

now it’s an MVP with a NBC, and an all day sucker… :p

I tried the T3s and Evods and liked the Evods as for clearomizers but were to be replaced later by the Smok Tumbler tanks when moving things up. The Tumblers were able to handle the then higher wattages offered by the MVP2.0 and later followed by eGo-V V3 Mega 3-15w usb passthrough batteries and Smok Groove II 3-15w box nod I grabbed for the 3800mah battery which flopped months later!

Only had one of the first four V3s go belly up after about 10months of use. The 700mah on the iTaste VV V3.0s wouldn't last long enough to finish off what was in a Tumbler requiring a recharge while I still keep one on each of the four ot those still going. For some reason however the T3s panned out quickly from a hot bite when compared to the Evods I had. Now it's either Bottom coiled or BVC.

I thought my Evods were the be all end all. Then came the PT2 mini, and a full size when I got my MVP.. LOOOVED them and learned rebuilding with em.. The day I got my first KFL though, the PTs were put away never to be seen again.. I should get one out and see how it works after having my Kayfun 4 for 3 days hehe..

Well the Smok Tumbers are still in use here while when placed up against the Nautilus, Nautilus Mini, and Atlantis tanks now seem to be wondering endlessly looking for something! Since I have kept several in use on various batteries at times as each gets emptied I have been cleaning every other one out and packing it away as a spare using less of the batteries and leaning more on the mods. I mostly keep a menthol favor in the green color Tumblers I refill while the others now only see older flavors that you can't vape at the higher watts with anything!

The flavors were made before all the higher end stuff was out being the early flavors still being made but not suited for the watts! I ended up putting the Kraigen Atlantis on a mech mod to be able to vape a tank of one of them rather then on the 50w mod the tank was on. What I need here will be a mod stand for mods and Vamo types since I had to make room for the new mods to replace the 2.0 with the 20W and the VTR with the 30w E-LVT mod ro be replaced with the Luxyoun 150w mod due in soon along with another 50watter!

Since the VTR has it's own case I may end up packing both MVPs into the carrying case where I keep some spare tanks and coils for those! I might just end up getting a 3-4yr. stretch out of the first MVP yet!

Dump the Kanger tank and with the MVP 2.0 try running a Nautilus Mini or Smok Tumbler on that while the Mini will work out on the MVP 20W too! I've had nothing but problems with Kanger tanks leaking and poor performance and had stayed with the Smok line until the lastest Aspire offerings were out. You pay more for tanks that don't leak and don't seem to go through coils!

I have some Aspire tanks that haven't given me half the hell that Kanger has given me. Again this afternoon, it stopped working on me, but I found out that when I take it off the battery to fill it, the coil sometimes comes loose. I had to screw it back in, and that's why it wasn't working. That MAY have been what was wrong with the first one. I didn't throw the old coil away. I have it in a baggie, and I may take it back out and try it again one day when I'm feeling industrious.

As for the MVP 2.0 here I ordered that at the end of October 2013 and plan to see that still working next fall! With several batteries as well as several mods the three batteries(one eGo mini two eGo-V 1300 one within the first two weeks) and only one Smok Groove II mod have been the only ones to go belly up on me so far! I am hoping the pair of iSticks hold up as well for a lengthy period of time at least but bought the second to spare for the first after not wanting another Smok Groove II mishap! The other mods since including the VTR still in primo condition see replaceable batteries over the sealed leaving only the two MVPs and pair of iSticks. I suspect the MVP 20W being better made will live a bit longer.

Yeah well, I'm still green around the ears at this point, and I'm still learning something new every day. If money were no object, I WOULD ditch the Kanger, but I need to hang on to every little thing I have right now. I still have some eGo batteries that I started with that I'll drag out if the going gets rough. The 2 MVP2s that I have right now are my shining stars right now compared to the beginner stuff I still have in my bag. However, with the luck I've been having, I see that it is indeed wise to have backups and backups to backups, and...........................you know.

Im sort of the opposite- Ive never got around to trying Smok products, but have used Kanger products. I dont really care for the Aerotank Mega- just has no flavor for me for some reason. I like the Protank 2 a lot.

Like diceman1000, since Ive gotten my Russian 91%, Ive rarely used anything else.

Supposed to get my MVP 20 watt tomorrow and I cant wait. The MVP 2.0 is a little too "weak" for me now as it takes longer to get heat up coils. Good backup though :)

MVP durability, form factor, battery life, and smoothness with 20 watts? :vapor:

Don't tell me your buying the Smaug 150? I thought it sounded rad til I found out the SX1500 chip they claimed was in it doesn't really exist (as confirmed by YiHi).. Be wary before blowing yr money!

Yup, I thought my nautilus was a good tank on the MVP2.0. However, the flavour and vapour production with the extra power on the 20W is incredible. To anyone running nautys considering an MVP20W, do it. You'll be in vape heaven!

I know all too well! I've had loose coils here often enough actually until getting into the Aspire tanks since I have severla SMOK brand tanks. This seems to be more of a eGo threaded tank problem however since the 510 threading in the center is the coil itself while on a 10 tank the coil ends in the base with most tanks where the base's own threading takes over. You can still have a loose coil when the air tube is spun around when going to refill and the coil loosens up but not tightened automatically afterwards.

Most often thar would be the main reason a tank would leak besides not sitting correctly against the seal or seals at each end of the tank section. Other one piece tank one piece base combo mouth piece/tank eGo threaded tanks have to be fully threaded in before you can put in back on the battery or mod or see it wobble at an dead giveaway angle. I ended with over two dozen Tumblers to go onto mods like the MVP as well as nearly two dozen VV/VW type batteries between the first two 650 eGo-C Tiwsts in a starter kit, a Spinner, and then later the iTaste VV v3.0s and initially four eGo-V V3s followed by two more silver to go with the four black one giving out in the first two weeks. Then the new V4s with the improved no longer on neck next to connector wobbly button but the new wider easier to use button at the top of the battery tube itself. Some Aro Winders got tossed in as well. This time from October 2014 until Jan. being now it wasn't batterues while newer improved larger 2200mah eGo II batteries are now being seen it was the second looks at the box mods mostly for those that see replaceable batteries however.

LUXYOUN 150W VV-VW WOOD BODY MOD.jpg

Found this after someone was asking about it but at a vendor that doesn't take US currency apparently and ran a search to end up at LUXYOUN 150W Variable Wattage VW Box Mod - Brown, Wooden + Stainless Steel, 1 x 18650, 7~150W - 3FVape

Fasttech got them a week or so later with not only the 150w but 100w, 50w, and 30w versions all being priced within $10 of each other.

Received my new MVP 20W last night. Been vaping it strong ever since. Love this new device! Same SOLID build quality and loooong battery life of my MVP 2.0
plus the new spring loaded 510. Blows away my iSticks (2 of the 4 we have are dead.)!

Ohohoho yeah.. this thing kicks ***.

Just got mine today. I did nothing else first once I got in my house- I went straight to the coil making supplies and rolled a 28 guage 12 wrap coil (around 16 guage luer blunt tip) for the Russian and installed on the MVP20watt- awesome!

As an added bonus, the Russian's air hole which occasionally gets some juice (especially when burping it) out of it lines up to the side with the lcd display- the istick it lined up over the button and sometimes Id get sticky fingers (and eventually the button got sticky :( ). Russian hits like a dream now!

Yeah, my favorite device so far :vapor:

**EDIT** Great end to a long day at work. Sitting here chiefing on the Russian/MVP20watt listening to Symphony of Destruction :p

Reading up on these I noticed they are not so well received.

Personally I like the wood finish but the battery cover being attached with screws is not a good thing.

Overall not that impressive IMHO.
