If you have only partially vape ejuice remaining in the coil after so long it gets gummy and will get the burnt taste going. Over time that will happen anyways and why coils need to be soaked every so often depending on how much use they see. When your battery or mod's battery is low the process starts a little sooner however and why the green led becomes amber/yellow before red to let you know it's time to recharge.

That is yet another good use of my sonic cleaner. I have kanger coils that would normally have been replaced a long time ago, that still chuck flavor and clouds. I tend to run my tanks all empty, and the night before, I refill, I disassemble rinse, and place everything in a sonic cleaner for several cycles. I let the parts dry on a clean towel over night, and reassemble, refill, revape.
I am fortunate, I have enough RBA's and mech mods, I do not miss a couple tanks for the course of an evening.

still wondering what the price range on the MVPV3 will be, hope they don't price it to high considering all the new 30 watt devices out there in the 50 buck range.

I PIF'd my 3 MVP2's after I got my first iStick (the "original" 20Watt)...they just felt like bricks!!!

IStick (just) came out with a 30Watt version. It's essentially the same small size that's so comfortable to hold. It has a Stainless-Steel threaded spring-loaded 510...and...they changed the "controversial" MEAN regulation to RMS.

10percentoff coupon lowers the price to $31.49

yepper, with those new upgrades, power, & PRICE

the MVP 3.0 better come out very very competitively priced

and it better hurry or the market with be diluted so bad price will be moot...

I myself am feeling the need and if MVP 3 don't hurry, might jump ship

Does anyone know if 150-225 puffs a day and only charging the MVP2.0 once a week (as needed) a good thing or a bad thing?

The "unwritten rule" with the mvp is to charge early and charge often

Mine gets charged when the indicator shows 3.7 V and taken off charge when the indicator shows 4.1V

Without going into detail this will optimise battery life in terms of charge/discharge cycles before the battery dies

I'm in the same boat. My oldest MVP2 is getting long in the tooth and it doesn't have the longevity it once had. My second MVP2 seems to have developed a fault on the logic board that won't let it fire (the pin makes proper contact and will read ohms, but upon pressing the button, it turns green and stays on for 10 seconds before cutting off with out any power getting to the coil). I still have my Vamo and iStick, as well as 2 iTaste v3s, to support my older MVP2, so my straits aren't dire, but I had wanted to see what the MVP3 had to offer before pulling the trigger on something new....

that averages to 187 puff a day X 7 = 1312 puffs

so many people claimed they made it that far before charging
(rolling counter over from full green to red)

I always charge before that, then clear counter...

•3 sec draws , 9 sec draws

•7w , 10.5w

•1.5Ω , 2.5Ω coils

all make a great deal of difference...

:)

YA KNOW, thinking MAYBE my switch is getting tired

it seems sometimes I need to REALLY push it and push it straight and firm

maybe not applying full power to coil (but is my mind playing tricks on me)

EITHER WAY

1½ yrs is long enuff, due for SOMETHING new

price & availability will dictate

I'm a low to mid-range power vapor'er
so simple cheap is my criteria...

For me, The "brick" and Tank like feel was and is a positive.

If I wanted something dainty I probably would not go for a box mod.

I carry my MVP20w around without having to adjust my pants.

Really is not that heavy.

When I decided to move on from clearos I was really looking forward to pairing orchid rba's with the mvp v3, so much so that I sulked for a week when they announced the 20 watt
I had read some varying reviews on cloned regulated mods and most authentics were cost prohibitive for me, but then I spotted the Dovpo DT50, an authentic for only $60 and snapped one up
It's like the mvp body building big brother, a bit bigger but the same solid feel. One of the best features is the chips smart function where it detects the atty resistance and sets wattage/voltage parameters to suit. I've had it about 3 weeks and I like it so much that I may not bother with the mvp v3

I have a pair of coils out of the Atlantis tanks I will sticking in some Efferdent denture cleaner over and allowing to air not having any sonic device laying around. I still have to do it the slow way. That was from constant use and immediately refilling with different flavors however to see how each one did at higher wattages. Some of those while bought recently new but first came some time back flavors... Not so good!

I still find the MVP 2.0 priced way above where that should be at $75 for the full kit! Once something comes out you still have to price shop around or get burned at times by price gaugers! Been even running into some places that actually go over the MSRP! Yet I missed out on one you would say was a real deal when the n yihi SX-350 SXMini 60w came out at one place for $44.99 and that sees $189- everywhere else?! Either a low pre-order or knock off? You have to be smart shopper!

I think you would love the iTaste VTR then! You will need to tighten that belt up real good since that feels like a chunk of bar stock and even comes in it's own carrying case! You could also get a belt holster for the MVP/VTR but watch the little loop that the strap with locking snap on it slips through since the loop is only glued on. I still have to get that fixed however since it also holds the 10ml U Can you can fill with any flavor including the refill for the present flavor in the tank.

Actually all you need for a poor mans sonic cleaner is a dirt cheap palm sander (mine is square) and an old pot or pan, that you can attach it to with small bungee cords. Its great for power steeping larger bottles of eliquid too.)

hi everyone, I didn't realize there was a thread dedicated to MVP batteries and actually just posted this question on the main board...but I'm hoping that perhaps you can all help me..

I got my new Innokin MVP 20 Watt's in today..

The batteries came with the standard USB cord..much like the ones that come with most cell phones these days. I'm currently charging it via my computer..but, I have several AC wall adapters and I'm wondering if I can use those.
The manual for these batteries recommends a 5V 500mA USB wall charger, however, when I looked at the ones that I have, they are rated OUTPUT: DC 5V 850mA

Are these still okay to use with my battery..or do I need to buy a wall charger specifically rated 5V 500mA

I'll keep charging it with my computer if needed for the time being, but would much prefer to plug it into the wall...I just don't want to fry it or something until I better understand what this means.

Most of the ejuice I get here doesn't actually requite hardly any steeping but will darken over time. Where I run into most problems is sorting out the older flavors that came our before all the new high wattage mods were out and everything was still 3-15w and mechs from the newer ones that vape well at 20w or higher.

The denture cleaner or even Oxygen I still have to try however bubbles stains and buildups off of surfaces as well as breaks down gummed up ejuice inside coils. It's simply the overnight soak with the all day dry that takes time. Fortunately I prefer having spares for each tank and extra coils onhand. But I can imagine it's quite a bit more convenient having the other option available! :)
