I know this must be somewhere in the MVP forums. But anyway, what 510 atomizer can I use on the MVP. I'd like to use it to taste juice and not waste a coil/wick all the time. Thank you MVP'rs

For that the cheapest and most simple is the iGo L. You can find it for as little as 12 bucks, it has a deep well and a big deck to work with and the 1mm airhole is too tight for some (not for liquid testing). I build them around 1.9/2 ohms since the juice tasting standard is the HH.357 long barrel at 2 ohms. It's a great atty.

A dual 14500 battery VV evercool chip mod (Little Man #1) I bought from JamesW here on the forum. I have a back up clear one too. Sad to say he quit making mods.

You're welcome. Don't know that I'd trust epoxy etc. either with a Russian/MVP combo! It might be time to think leather lanyard: iTaste MVP Leather Wrap

My last dirt/street machine was a Honda XL600 back in the 80's!

I'm guessing I have at least 470ft of rayon still so the free sample offer stands. The way I understand it rayon is made from wood pulp which doesn't sound any worse than cotton to me. If it had nasty chemicals in it wouldn't we be tasting it?!?!?

This was my one try at a vertical coil back in May. I wasn't getting much vapor. Looking at it now I don't understand how I wasn't getting dry hits but that wasn't the problem. Been thinking about trying again with a bigger diameter coil and leaving space between the wraps. At the time I was trying for 2.5 ohm to get 10 watts with my cheapo 5 volt box mod.

Burn a little in an ashtray and decide if that's what you want in your lungs... Cellulose is paper, and that's what cigarrettes right?

Doesn't look like that's what is causing it but your idea made me think of something to try.
Had it charging from a wall wart. Took it off that and put it on the laptop - got steady green. Also tried another wart and got a steady light.
Looks like the wart went bad. Kind of odd as I used it on a MVP a few days ago and it was fine. Also used it last night for a twist batt and seemed ok. Damn thing is only 5 months old and just sits on the shelf when not being used. Guess I'll be adding 1 or 2 warts to the order I plan on making later.

Charge was 4.1 when I took it off the bad wart. Still showing that with a steady light. Had a 4.2 when I finished the previous charge a few days ago. Figure I'll leave it on for a bit more and see if it completes normal.

Any recommendations - The bad one has a 500ma output. The good wart is 1A. I know slow charge is better and I don't mind the longer wait as I have plenty of backup batts. Who votes for a 500ma charger and who says go 1A?

Many, many people here have been using 1ah warts from first ownership (including myself). There is no where that I have ever read that says charging slower (within reason) is better for the battery. I saw a 1a wall wart for sale at the counter of my local hardware store for $5. They are available locally (states) many places as a lot of different types of devices use warts.

As for the cycling, not sure, but I would discontinue using that wart.

Best of luck with it all and welcome to the ranks. Here is your sign:

The 1A chargers most likely are ok and that's what the other wart I have here is (I think the one at the office is too). Just don't want to use the one that went flaky on the good stuff anymore. And now that one is out of the picture I figure I better get a replacement And a spare to have on hand. It's cheaper for me to order than buying local as prices here tend to be a bit high - the downside is the wait. Can use the computers until they get here but don't always have the laptop powered up and don't really care for extra wires hanging off it.
Doesn't surprise me that it went wacky - the charger for the ego twist that came with it ended up with a split case the third time I used it. Got those from a place local and some of their stuff is definitely low end - made the one purchase there and have even thought about buying from them again.

Don't know if this is something to be concerned about or not.
Haven't my 2 units very long. Got them and used each until the charge went low enough for yellow. Put them on the charger and the yellow came on steady for each but didn't last long before going to steady green until full charge then went out. I know this is normal charging process.
Mow for the strange part. Been using them the past couple days with no problems. Last night one went to yellow so I put it aside. This morning I put it on the charger. Instead of getting a steady light it cycles through all 3. When the cycle gets to green, the green will flash a couple times - 2 quick then the third time is sometimes quick and the cycle repeats. Other times the third lighting of green stays longer - sometimes 1 or 2 seconds and sometimes longer - there have been some as long as 8 or 9 seconds.
Charge was at 3.7 when starting and is up to 4.0 now. First put in on about 3 hours ago and have pulled off a few times to check and attempt to reset. Have had it in both on and off mode while on the charger and it gets the same thing. One of the times that I took it off the charger, I put a tank on and everything functioned normally.
Is this cycling while charging something to be concerned about?
Is there something that can be done to rest so that the charging process shows a steady light (as I currently believe is how the normal process works)?
Thanks in advance for any insight on this.

You can greatly increase the cycle life of your MVP's by not letting them drain that low , charging well before it hits yellow and removing it from the charger BEFORE the green light goes out will increase the cycle life of your MVP's . For me this average's about two hours and 45 min on the charger .

I recharge at 3.7 volts and take it off the charger at 4.1 instead of 4.2 , it seems most who follow this routine have MVP's working like new for well over a year.

I hooked up one of my kayfun minis as a "dripper" - seems to be o.k. for testing DIY. Depending on flavors, I'll rinse it out and put a little unflavored pg/vg to get the water out, then hit with flavored juice. I also thought about getting a stash of mini (shorty) 510 cartos.

@Keirster, I fired up the vertical coil yesterday! It's not bad, and haven't had any burnt hits! Wondering if the airflow-less kf lite has too tight of a draw on it tho.... Started leaking a little bit, but juice is pretty low in the chamber.

Cool Dinger, I am gonna try one if/when my original ever gives out, 5 months with a 28 gauge 1.3.

Is it a cooler or more vapory hit?

WOW, this is a busy thread, how nice!:)
Hubs and I love our MVPs and are looking to pick up a couple more - anyone know of a good Labor Day sale going right now? I think I will go with the "Petals" edition this time. Very pretty for the ladies.
Thanks so much for any sale info, and I will definitely start reading this thread. So many nice people and such great information.

Built to about 1.8 ohms (fluctuated between 1.6-1.8) I'm running around 10W - still seems cooler, but it's a tight draw. Not as vapor-y as I was hoping. Next time, I'm going to wind on a 1/16" bit instead of the screwdriver (2mm?)

Hi Nanny! Check this out: iTazte MVP 2.0 They used to have ALL the models (including the Shines) I just picked up the New Wave (I think was the color scheme) a couple weeks ago. I liked that these came with the iClear 16b, and not the 30.

I must have the same version KFL as you, no airflow. That is why i want my build to last. I got lucky and have not had any problems with mine like leaking, dry hits, etc. luckily I have a great B&M near me and the guys do most of my coil work as mine aren't that pretty ;)

Been thoroughly testing the Magma and to my surprise a single coil rolled onto a 1/8 drill bit running at 1.8 and no higher than 14 watts gives me superior flavor , to running a dual coil at .8 ohm at 25 watts .

The flavor is very very noticeably better actually and i see very little difference in vapor production. I'm sticking to lower wattage for sure.

@herb you might try going over 2 ohms with one more wrap as well. I find I can get good F&V with 2.0-2.4 and my batteries last longer. JMObservation

I've been reading this forum for 8 months now. I see every topper has lovers and haters. One thing that dawned on me lately, with the influx of new MVP owners, is how most new owners rave about how much better their topper is with an MVP. I think a lot of haters could be turned into lovers if they had the right battery to power it.

Keirster , i was just thinking that if you love the KFL with no airflow why don't you get one with airflow , i bet you would love it even more . On the other hand , i know you have a mass collection of dripper's so why bother.

Very good point Paul but i also think it has something to due with the MVP's flat signal. I will try going over 2 ohms and let you know , i did do that before actually and i liked it a lot and battery life is always a plus.

I am running a 1.8 ohm single in my new Magma and the flavor blows me away! I love this thing!

Edit: at 7.5 -8 watts
