Got a friend started on vaping using some of my old gear. He is now on his 2nd week of being cig free. I just upgraded him to an MVP by loaning him my spare MVP version 1 but I need to order him his own. Wheres the cheapest place that is reliable?
www.vapor-deals.com, $39.99 shipped for a carbon black, $36.99 for blue or silver. I'm having some issues with some ridiculously over priced juice I bought at a local B&M... Prices weren't clearly posted, $47 for two 30ml bottles and it tastes nothing like the samples... Supposedly it's presteeped...

wowzer, $50 bucks for 60ml (is that a typo ?) out of my league (.78¢ a ml)
about three times what I was paying before I went DIY…

There is a airflow and flavor difference between the EVOD and T3S/MT3S, with the EVOD having the tighter draw and more flavor outta the box.. Thats where the Dual Coils for the MT3S comes in. Gives it more flavor like the EVOD, but keeps the lighter draw and bigger tank. It IS hit or miss on whether the coils work outta the box, as per my link. It is also an easy fix.

in my experience and I frequently use all 4 tanks (MT3S, T3S, EVOD, miniT3S)
they all work the same, designed and built the same, can all use the same coil,
even the bases are interchangeable…
back in the day, evod had its own smaller coils, with tighter draw, but not any more
perhaps the two shorter tanks might give you a warmer vape due to the fact
the air flow tube is shorter, closer to atomization…
I prefer the T3S & mini T3S only due to the fact that you can see inside of it,
that’s the only difference between the four of them… IMO
note: just for the record, the first generation MT3S/EVOD series never came
with a stock dual coil

Ok so I am concerned about my MVP so since I've got it I always charge every night. It used to charge to 4.2 now it doesn't only charges to 4.1. Is that bad?

I don't see a problem with it reading 4.1 , how old is it ? If it's relatively new that is odd . It drops to 4.1 almost as soon as you start using it anyway . I never charge mine everyday as i think thats just unnecessary and overdoing it but i know some others do with apparently no ill effects .

I use mine everyday and do not recharge it until it reads around 3.7 volts and it takes about two and a half hours for it to read 4.1 volts and thats when i take it off the charger.

Once in a while i charge it to 4.2 volts but mostly i like to remove it at 4.1 , i wouldn't worry about it .

Jamie, my first MVP seemed to only want to charge to 4.1 (even when the light went out.) These days, I'm seeing 4.2 right after the light goes out. Could be a "rounding" issue.

Like Herb says, nothing to worry about :)

Ya, sorry.. MT3S.. The MT3 is no longer sold by Kanger. Here's my take: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/clearomizers/567056-dual-coils-t3s-mt3s-maybe.html

I saw your comment about eliminating the lip in the link you provided and i think the ideal way to do this is to use a stepped drill bit . Problem is getting one that doesn't go too far down thus drilling into the center tube itself .

They do have them at Lowe's, Home Depot etc... but they aren't cheap.

That little lip is the cause of the EVOD size coils not fitting.

Now, I need to find a way to mill/sand off that little lip on the others

we never really talked of the diff with MT3 / MT3S
the without "S" is extinct

if I’m not mistaken
the MT3 was like the big-deal first bcc clearomizer
Kanger made – the base AND coil were as one (integrated)
later came the “S” // MT3S & T3S with the “separable” coil
somewhere along there also came the EVOD and mini T3S
and as they say: “the rest is history”

MT3 are closeouts (what they had left in stock)
the EVODs are just on a sale

IMO MT3S and T3S // EVOD and mini T3S

all four the same design just 3.0ml vs 1.5ml

metal jacket // clear plastic

:)

Well i received my two Evod's and i was shocked how small they were , to be honest i like Fasttechs RGM bottom coil clearo's a little better , the measurements are a bit larger.

I can't seem to make out that microscopic writing under "coil evolution" .

HOLY CRAP ,:ohmy::ohmy::ohmy: , that's more than i paid for my entire DIY purchase , i would freak out and the worst part about it is that it's barely vapable . Someone needs to be held accountable
