Nope ;) The current output has changed with each revision of USB. USB3 can go up to 1.5A... you can find all the details online if you would like... it's also a bit besides the point though as 'USB Chargers' (as an entity) operate outside of normal USB spec and USB devices have various ways to try and determine if they are connected to a 'USB Charger' versus a 'USB Host'.

EDIT: Ok... 'each revision' isn't the right way to say that since there are major and minor revisions... but I think you get the point. :)
Yeah I'm on a Mac so were still stuck on USB 2.0...

yeah those pics are on taste your juice ;)

another curiosity is why are the top plate holes (4) elongated ??

Did you notice it said "This might not be the final market version, but it is the version we were shown." Taste Your Juice | THE INNOKIN MVP 3 FIRST LOOK

Also the contest 24 giveaway MPV 3 in 24 hours (one an hour) will be posted later tonight on /r/innokin according to Innokin Paul states: "I wanted to run it today but we are still filming with Phil and Dimitris around the factory. I will post on /r/innokin tonight when I have more information."

Rub it in! I just the MVP 20W in! At least I can tell which one is which however! The 2.0 is also black but covered by a wrap.

The photos only go to confirm the retractable charging cord is present on the 3.0 version as well as the main button on the side where most seem to prefer it over the awkwardness many had complained about for the first two versions.

Same as me I have the MVP2 and last week I got the MVP20w a little over a week ago. Like I need the MVP 3 really? But I sure wouldn't mind winning one! Or hoping someone on the board to win one! Yet it wouldn't surprise me since I'm not a lucky person when winning that sometime in the future I don't end up buying one and give my MVP2 to my son.

the reason I thought that,

if you look at the fire button, it looks solid METAL and also,
as tho it has a METAL trim ring
and NOT the traditional Innokin light ring (just thinking aloud)

Yeah, it probably works like that and maybe a flash light too... who knows... maybe the went down the (bad) path of a touch sensor, lol

Got my MVP20 in and have started to put it through it's paces. The 510 adapter sent with it is a stupid design and adds an extra couple unecessary mm if you use an ego threaded device. I just used a regular old one I had and it works/looks better.

I received the rubber sleeve from INNOKIN iTASTE MVP SLEEVES - MADTOWN VAPOR and I really like it. Great tactile feel, the device feels more secure in my hand and it offers a layer of protection. I got the green and it is pretty much a spot on OD Green. It doesn't fit quite properly around the fire button and I can see just a little of the stock white color bellow the button but it is not noticeable enough to turn me off.

and I am curious about (3) charge connections ?

something special ?

or smart to ADD the attached cable

then NOT omit what they had previous

View attachment 401518

wonder if charge cable is detachable ?

:)

Just a crazy thought but could it be to connect to a computer for ??? Upgrades? Data download? Homeland Security?

Time to upgrade to a newer Mac with USB3 :) Well... if it matters.
Oh god no, I HATE what they did to the Mac Pro! Mines my recording studio, the new one would effectively ruin my whole setup with my 4 drives and whatnot..

Besides I gotta save for the next MVP he he!

You go Boy!

Thanks for doing a tear down and reporting it all. Don't allow yourself to get distracted and please keep reporting what you find. As far as I know you are the first one on the webs to do report a diagnostic and we are all interested in what is in there. Don't be afraid to "dumb it down" for us less techy types.

Presuming you were serious... here are the pics... which is the start. Clicking on these should open them larger...

The only reason I have not started to lay huge accolades on these sleeves is because I want to see if they will hold up over a little time. The colors are a little off to me (to candy like) I wish they offered a plain white but color is totally subjective. I like the feel and they offer some protection but what I like the most about them is how much more secure the device is in my hand. I don't feel like I have to keep a death grip on it or it might slip. They are priced right at $5.00.

So Yea, I guess they really are that cool. I'll go one step further and go on record as saying that as long as these sleeves prove to stand the test of time, they are going to be the big thing for most mods.

On the MVP20- no glitches other than the 510. It does look cool but it did not seem to want to sit flush. I thought it might look cool on one of my Mechs so I slapped it on and it would not fire/make contact? I need to go back and look at it again.

The button is easier to push BUT, it is still harder or more awkward than I would like it to be. It is no where near the smoothness of the VV3. If I buy a MVP3 any time soon, it will be for the side button.
