Thank you both. :)

Not interupting.... that's it for now..... I want to do a little more but it's not ready yet. And I hate remembering things I forgot to add after I get it uploaded to PhotoBucket.... because ya can't change them then.

And I've already remembered one important thing that is missing... sealing the tubing adapter to the box.

..... because I did not seal this one since it will hopefully be used as experimentation for adapters.

But...... I do have pics from the first how-to..... I'll post those later today.

Thanks Sgood. :)

Peter.... that little red ribbon nearly ruined the mod! 8-o
I accidentally touched the iron against the other side of the battery area and melted it. :( Not sure it shows in these pictures.
I'm good at doing that.
Touching the soldering iron arm on wrong places while I'm focussed on melting or soldering somewhere else with the tip.

Last week I forgot it was still plugged in and grabbed the iron with my finger and thumb intending to roll up the cord and put it away.

There was the really strange smell of burnt Dreams in the air.

Awww...You want a kiss a boo-boo Dreamy.. Ugh...I cant reach...closer...closer.:pervy: there I couldnt find a kisser.

Be careful, one night I was holding my soldering iron and looking at my project pondering what to do next and I came sooo close to taking a hit off iron I felt the heat on my lips...think I singed a few nose hairs too.:-x

I was a welder for about 18 years in my early days and got burned about every day and its not something you ever "get use to". You might want to get those talented little paws insured.

Clumsy...... you feeling better? If you were living next to us, Connman and I would make you some chicken soup and bring you some orange juice. Then I would make Connman grill you some of the delicious grilled chicken that he does! Then.... and only then..... would I insist that you get a great healing nap in whilst Connman fed my critters and did my chores for you. I'm just that kind of person.:)
8888888888888888jjjjjrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrd]]]]]]]]]]]]]oyyyy

(Umm..... that last part was typed by one of my critters when I had to get up from the keyboard for a second. Thought maybe it was some kind of secret healing code or something and that I better leave it for you?)

Connman.... calm thyself. You know this "how-to" is very important to me and some others. It is potentially viewable from around the globe to return inspiration and share with others what I have learned. I think a little sacrifice on your part is actually part of the job description of being a big brother and is expected of you for the honor of having a little sister. You knew I was looking for a pretty drop-cloth that day. Nuff said. It's not like I didn't tuck it back in your dresser when I was done.

Sci..... don't mind Connman up there. He apparently does not believe in sharing the way I do?! That is so cool I'm gonna be in a PDF!.... well.... something I made is. Now, maybe next PDF file will be the book I want to write regarding life and death, suffering and healing and witnessing interdimensional visitations while being on the job as a CNA titled something like: "Quantum Physics and The Art of Being a Certified Nursing Assistant". But for now... "The Nico-Drip V2" will be fine.

I hope the tubing arrives today because I started some really interesting mods yesterday. One that is a completely different kind of juice injector that gives a designated amount of e-liquid... and I need tubing to fit it.

Nicotime...... I know what you mean about almost vaping your soldering iron! I grabbed one a few years ago when I was soldering and thought I was reaching for my cigarette. Ouch..... soft parts of the fingers!

By the way..... everyone should own an Aloe Vera plant if only for that reason. It completely heals burns and removes the pain! Even chemical burns I had under my fingernails once..... an Aloe Vera plant removed the pain and healed it. And, oh, was that painful before my Mother suggested her Aloe Vera plant.

Stormi got an airbrush! Oh, boy! But just as expensive, unfortunately, is an air compressor to go with it. I got most of my paints from e-Bay.... but if you google "where to buy airbrush paint" I'm sure it will lead you to fascinating airbrush discussion groups where you will probably lose yourself for a few weeks or months when you see the beautiful things an airbrush can do. It may even pull you away from modding. Don't leave us Stormi!

Here is a rather crude rendering of the slow color changing LED in the Nico-Drip:

The animation does not show it but the colors blend and fade.... it's really beautiful.

If the animation does not show... the link is here:

Sci, just got that tubing in the mail! Beautiful!

I'll take pictures for everyone and post them when I get the chance. I got 4 different sizes. I'll have picture examples of 3 of those. It is the 18 AWG that I was after.... fits beautifully on my mod. The 14 AWG will probably fit on my latest mod experiment.

Connman and I also got the tiny magnets that Sci recommended from
e-Bay in a few of his posts. Wow! They are so cute and so strong! I'll include them in one of the pics. They could definately be used to hold project and battery boxes closed if needed.

Now we need to find fittings! I still have not had time to go over the links so many great people have posted in this thread.

Will post pictures when I get the time..... might not be until tomorrow. Have chores to get done and I work tonight. Need to sell some mods so I can get some money and buy a new washing machine..... mine died a while back and I had already revived it too many times with parts. Washing my scrub uniforms by hand and that takes away from modding time! Meanwhile.... working on Mods so that when I register as a supplier they will be ready to paint, personalize and ship. :) Everything is a rock and a hard place.... a catch 22..... but it's all good. :thumb:

In the words of the poet, Rainer Maria Rilke... from Letters To a Young Poet:

So you must not be frightened if a sadness rises up before you larger than any you have ever seen; if a restiveness, like light and cloud-shadows, passes over your hands and over all you do. You must think that something is happening with you, that life has not forgotten you, that it holds you in its hand; it will not let you fall.

Edit to add: Not that I'm at all sad..... just that there is poetry in everything!

Dreams- do you need a special compressor? I have a good one sitting in the garage, it is adjustable, will that work?

Like Nicotime said.... if it has a regulator on it (which it probably does) it will work. I set mine at 25 psi.

An inline water filter helps but it was a few years before I actually bought one. Without one.... water could be in the air and spurt water out with your paint.... and that sucks when it happens!

Okay..... get this........ everyone break out $2 and some change.......

Tomorrow I will post the where-to and how-to on getting your own brass fittings and tubing.... for under $3 :thumb:

Why we gotta wait til tomorrow???:( I've got $3 today, might not have it tomorrow!:)

BTW, that 18 awg fits pretty good in a 3ml bottle tip without any modifications. Just need to secure it.
