My Woodchuck

Well, I guess I'll show you Chuckleheads what I did with my Chuck.
I'm a woodworker and I do some veneer work so when I decided that I wanted a Chuck I didn't go the regular graphics route. I ordered my Chuck unfinished and laminated a marquetry piece of a free in walnut on a curly maple background. I connected the seam with a commercially made banding that runs lengthwise down the switch side. Thanks for the nice compliment folks. My first thought was to get Jeff to offer veneer as a finish option for the Chuck but I'm realizing that he just doesn't have time to mess with it.
I've sent him some veneered pieces of copper pipe to test the powder coat process on but the last I heard from him was that he was going to test the second samples on the weekend and that was over three weeks ago so I'm getting the message. I think Jeff's too nice a guy to flat out tell somebody he doesn't have time for their stuff and I know his plate is full to overflowing so I don't want to be a pain in his .....

I'd love to offfer it but we had catostrophic failure with the last 2 test runs with clearing them. I have one piece left and am awaiting a sample of some lower temp clear.

Ah, I wondered what was up. Hi Jeff. I finished mine with a spray acrylic a few weeks ago and it's holding up pretty well. I use it about half of the time and I vape pretty constantly so it's getting plenty of use.
I thought you gave up on it. Let me know if the new stuff works, OK? Thanks.
