maybe you need to be bribed, ok, 4 bags of cheetos, the new ones you most likely havent had yet, 3 boxes of overstuffed oreos and 2 boxes of pepperidge farms smored fish. ALL THAT CAN BE YOURS BR.

I'll think about that tomorrow. I'm gone sleep tite and gonna have sugar plumbs dancing in my head.

I didn't want total failure before I went to bed so I have six boiled and dry burned e2, using at 3.7v. XL ~3 ohm-got lucky. It's wicking better than the reg 2.5. The only way for this 2.5 to wick better is to drip or mod so it's going into the later pile. I boiled and dry burned a couple of ~3 ohm regulars and will try with same juice. 50pg/50vg.

I think, when I have time I'll boil the whole lot and just go through them all with a juice I don't particularly like. Shoot, DH sometimes vapes unflavored, no nic 50gp/50vg. I think that might be better just to see which ones will wick satisfactory. That's it. That should really give a better idea of a burning flavor.

Question - Do the little filler pads help any?

Question - Wasn't there someone on this thread who made a little tent with PTB with a cut out for the ceramic cup? Did it help?

These things are a pain in the .... with all the fiddling. When I get more time I'll decide what to do with 30 of them. In the meantime thank you all for your wonderful work.

Question - Has anyone boiled them leaving the ceramic cup cover in place?

Regular cartos, which I've been using for two months are certainly looking like the better option for now. Someone did mention, I think, using the E2s for dripping. I did that and plain atty dripping is much better, little hassle.

nitey nite.

I made the little tent, but I don't think it works as good as if the ptb was folded just the same way it's folded in the carto mod, I only used one layer, and also the silicone ring didn't help.

I haven't tried the original ptb mod on the bottle mod yet, maybe someday I will, especially with the smaller tube or syringe mod, where it wouldn't need too much ptb.

Thank you Alice ... I don't have exhaust heat from a computer available like that (it would be under my computer desk). I do find the hair dryer thing works very very well and you have no danger of dust going in the cartos as yu might with exhaust fan heat off a computer - inside of computers can get very dusty. I am sorry to hear your new cartos were a hit and miss. I got 10 XL's and I have filled two of them only after a dry burn and they have been OK.

I don't know if anyone has answered this but.... after wrist slinging them well, then in cotton athletic sock spinning, I then place them pretty close to the hot air exhaust from my Notebook. I leave about .5 cm between the exhaust and the mouth end of the carto. Works pretty well.

yeah its a over the top feeder . ill take a br mod over that any day, that is just awkward looking and you still got to squeeze the bottle.

Its dripping an atomizer from the top with a spritz I think. The problem with it is, and why I won't order somethign like that is, I just don't like flooding and leaking and it seems to always happen to me with atomizers whether I direct drip or I have tried a mod like the REO (well the REO doesn't really leak but its still a very subjective squeeze of a bottle that is prone to user error)

Thanks, viJohn I might try that again, now that the E2s have been redeemed (see below). Before I used three layers when I did the PTB mod and put the fill ring back in. Do you snip the wicks and if so how much do you leave? I'm hoping to not have to do the PTB to keep it as simple as possible.

I had MAJOR success at 0200.

More than one person has suggested doing this. Without any mod I took out and left out the bottom filler ring and used only the middle ring.

The difference in wicking is night and day. I don't take excessively long pulls and haven't yet taken several in a row but this is a vast improvement.

I just awoke from a nap. I had the mods lying down on their side for 3 hours so when I started on them there was a tiny bit of excess juice in cup but no big deal; not enough to come up the tube to the drip tip.

For now, for me, this is the easiest, fastest temporary mod. But I am going to boil all before using as I haven't tried any yet that don't taint the taste without boiling first. Also, washing the ring before using or, better yet, using some that have been washed and aired out for days.

I just used a typical 3ml, and it fits on just right and no leaking yet

Thanks..btw...I am on my third E2 R4 3ohm XL from CoV. Inspected before a dry burn and they are very clean. Dry burned and filled and so far no issues. I am getting a full 1.8 ml in these. I am using a 50/50 vg/pg in them so far.

I was using a drip tip on these but wasn't totally satisfied with the vapor, etc., took it off and much better. I think the DT's I have for them are skinnier delron. I think I'd be much better off getting somethign a bit more substantial.

Someone mentioned new ones from madvapes that they really liek alot...any link to them? and does anyone have any suggestions for a good one. I am not interested in dripping but occassionally.

You had major success just from taking out the filler ring? Or did you do the PTB mod and then the success? I also just got 3.0ohm e2 XL's from cov and so far all of my cartos have been clean and dry out of the box...I just do a dry burn and fill and so far they have been fine.

Yeah, I wouldn't do it with a desktop especially if it was placed near the floor. Out here in Cedar Hill, with frequent gale force winds (a gentle breeze is 20 mph), big dogs keeping the dust stirred up all the time inside and outside, and three of the ten largest cement factories a few miles south of us (with a lot of the raw materials mined locally - Midlothian) you won't find environments much dustier than my place. I have to use dust filters on most of the computers and filters on many things people wouldn't think of putting them on. Right where my notebook and netbooks sit, when they are running I keep the area pretty free of dust. Modded computers, that haven't had cases closed for months at a time get blown out every couple of weeks. We don't dust here, rather vacuum most surfaces including the ceilings.

By pool is a major test for any equipment especially with the dogs dragging in our "cementous" microscopic dust; that is the extra that isn't blown in daily. The leaves, pollen, and plant debris from the woods is another factor too.

I know dust. I just don't sweat what little comes out of the Notebook.

I have several, all, of the original attys I started with over two months ago, still going strong, being rotated regularly, and cleaned and/or soaked and dry burned frequently. I only use them for dripping, which is what I do the most; that or cartos. I'm not sure what manf. produced them but they are probably all from the same lot. I got them form AwesomVapor in August. Two of them have always done a little leaking but the others never have. Those two, thinking about it, might have been the original attys that came with the eGo. There are a couple with a little bit different bridge/mesh so that really might be them. I haven't lost any attys yet, all are in service, and two have been de-bridged which I especially like for comparing or trying out flavors in the same session and neither of them leak.

BTW.... the "painted" attys, I have, lose paint when they are boiled or even soaked in anything other than water, which concerns me about paint getting lodged down under the bridge. So now, I have scraped off all the paint from all painted attys I have; much easier to do after a first boil or two. Don't have that issue with wrapped cartos but the wrap does get messed up a bit. My only solution for that is to only order steel, which I've been doing now for a while. I have some e-cig decals, some for cartos, waiting for me at the UPS store along with some e-cig jewelry. It's going to be fun.

I have several different style drip tips. I prefer the longer ones over the shorties. And the metal ones take some getting used to. I just got in, and have used for a few days, the new really pretty Cherry drip tips, the multi-colored swirled ones that are quite bulbous at the bottom. It is very different, in shape, larger, a bit taller than many of the others, feels "odd" for a bit, but I have come to prefer the lip feel. One major problem though, the juice doesn't go down the hole as easily as my other ones. Several times, when I have been in dim lighting (or driving), I have had the juice plug up and run over the side. So I don't use that one for dripping/driving if I remember. I do take a carto PV for driving, to use if I don't get a chance to drip for longer stretches or in heavy traffic.

I use drip tips with all my cartos, that don't have a whistle tip, no matter the style PV.

No PTB mod at all. Been vaping two PVs now for and hour an a half 50pg/50vg. I'm not going to take the chance of not boiling, even new filler cartos. My taste buds have always been sensitive to "chemically" things and my migraines used to be mostly triggered by odors so I'm pretty sensitive to certain taste/odors. Besides that, someone mentioned that there is very possibly solder flux left, at differing quantities, in the attys/cartos. That is possibly what I'm tasting in otherwise "clean" cartos. In past couple of days I've wasted half a 10 ml bottle of Cov4 (ry4). I'd rather not do that again AND I don't want to vape flux.

It seems the E2 can handle 50/50 well but I love todd's organic 100% VG at vaperite...I do have one carto it vapes clean from...did you get those bulbous drippers from CoV?
