you better be building what you know your suppose to be building since we discussed you building it last night despite that you didnt want to build it but im sure you know how important building it would be. say that 10 times real fast
behave or no overstuffed oreos.

It would help if you would restore the power down here in your basement so I could turn on the lights to see what I am doing.

I don't do anything until I've had my second cup of coffee.

Exactly what 2 of 5 looked like with my reg 3Ω. I would never ever attempt to use an E2 as is out of the box.
Its unfortunate because when they work right they are 1000% better than any other carto.

But as it stands, I cannot recommend them to the average user. People want to open them, fill them and vape!
That said, they are so much better than anything else out there, I am willing to put in the time to clean, inspect, and mod them.
Unfortunately, this has been going on for a long time. Here is a post I did in "The Big Thread" two months ago.

Be it leftover Soder Flux on the coil wire, Machine Oil or Bat Piss, Anyone using these E2 cartomizers should do a Boil / Dry Burn / Boil BEFORE they fill one for the first time.

Just my 2Ps again,
yesterday whilst rebuilding the coil and testing another wick (PTB and Fiberglass) for the E2-v4. I pulled the wick all the way up to the mouth piece and dripped on it for a down feed. After vaping a few time the wick went dry although there was still juice
(50/50) on the upper portion of the wick. Maybe some one could try the same thing with a reg E2 wick and see if the same thing happens.
I would do it, But I'm waiting for the postman to deliver mine.

i noticed something like that, the coil area can be played with in so many ways and you will achieve different results with every tweet and twist or prod etc.. some make them work better while other little things make it worse.

big hitter im with ya, when you get a good e2, it outpaces everything else but they come so few and far inbewteen, even if i have 3 identical looking ones and even if they are truly clean, they still will perform differently in the wicking department. which leads me to believe the wick needs to be updated and i keep saying it that the ptb kind of proves this, you can use a thing ptb strip and as long as its making contact by the cup with the cut wick it will perform better then the wick itself.

many of us realize what they can do but they arent doing it all the time and then you have to mod them to get them to perform the way they should out the box.

I can honestly say i think they never even tried a different type of wick to see how it performs. i bet this is the cheapest wick they could buy .

itas months later and through all the issues which where many , from funky fluids to glue to silicone to dented and crappy threads to leaky e2's, and all of that has been fixed except the primer or fluid is still present in some. THAT LEAVES ONE COMPLAINT MANY ARE STILL HAVING. a bad taste, the taste many got with the low ohm 2.5 e2 at 3.7. they say its burnt but its a dry taste or burnt juice taste.

many have the higher ohms and still complain about it , that leaves 2 options, the tank isnt wide enough and thats been tested and the wick doesnt wick fast enough and thats where the ptb comes in and does a better job at wicking.

It seems the E2 can handle 50/50 well but I love todd's organic 100% VG at vaperite...I do have one carto it vapes clean from...did you get those bulbous drippers from CoV?

Yes, and I only got one Cherry swirl to try cause they cost about $8. And I ordered some PV jewelery so I want to see how all that looks before I order any more Cherry swirls. I got the one with black/grey/white to go with my grey Roughstak and silver atty or carto. Looks sharp. Only thing is I got the Roughstak for when I'm doing heavy work so it makes it a little less "tough" because it is so big. But I do love it.

I got my shipment of 100 510XL's yesterday and I picked on of each of the five colours and 3 had clear fluid in them, smoked and stank on a dry burn and the other two had no fluid and very little (to none) smoke on the dry burn, and more importantly one of them still stank (a bit) on the dry burn - the other was clean (no bad smell at all).

I filled it (the clean one) without rinsing it out (I was so excited I forgot) and it has been working great. Some gentle wick fluffing and pricking with a pointy syringe needle, made the filler ring inner hole and slots larger, filled the tank with 1.6mls, replaced the filler ring and it hasn't missed a beat.

I also filled the other (the slightly stinky one) without rinsing and it continually dry vapes and tastes foul after 2 quick or slow drags.

I also got 5 XL cartos with the VGO's and the are filled with DK-Tab (0mg). I decided to drain the DK-Tab out as I'm not a fan of regular tobacco type juice. The filler ring was almost a light black in colour. Very gross. Also looks like something has dissolved in there. I put it aside for dissection when my hand is better.

The 3 stinky ones I rinsed out with hot water and left them out in the sun and wind all day, dry burned them (it went much better this time) and filled 2 tonight with some new juice that arrived today. One is chocolate (quite thick and dark) and the other is Razz Wow (raspberry) and the have been working great. No dry spots (with reasonable gaps between drags), good taste etc. They are 2.8 to 3.0 Ohm and I find they are very cool on the eGo and a little warmer and stronger on the VGO.

Bad, I have been experimenting with the wick on several of these things, not just the ones that everyone have seen here. So far, the ones that I have extended the wicks on have improved the performance. I can't tell much difference when a poor one has a full tank, but it's not difficult to tell the difference after several minutes of vaping. I'm not saying that all the ones with extended wicks work equality well, but all of them have been acceptable.

There is no doubt that one factor will be eliminated if all E2's have the same wick length. In addition, I am convinced that all E2's will be better if the wicks are long enough to touch the bottom of the base fitting. Of coarse, that would assure that the lengths would be the same. I believe this is an important factor. Until this factor is eliminated, there is no way for us to determine if this is a good wick or a bad one. As stated many times, we know that a few of these things work well out of the box. If my findings are correct, then I believe the majority of them will work well out of the box.

As for the E2's I call acceptable, the ohm rating appears to be less critical. If most of these things worked well out of the box, perhaps there would be less complaints about the resistance rating. As with all other devices in the past, all individuals must determine the rating for themselves.

About PTB. Regardless of how well it works, we are not likely to see it used in any device. Numerous makers of atomizers have known about PTB, but none of them use it in their cartridges. Most of these manufacturers are not fly by night, and you can bet that they have a good reason for not using it in their cartridges. They certainly will not use it in their atomizers.

What we do on our own is another story, and everybody has their druthers. Me included.

As far as nasties in the E2s.... I boiled a couple of 3 ohm regulars this morning. When I dumped them out in a strainer there were three small black objects. It was not paint as they are steel. And they were not in the pan or strainer before hand. One was about .5 cm long and almost 1 mm wide, like a splinter. The other two were about 2X2 mm. I was in a hurry so didn't fool with them or touch them.

The XL and reg, sans filler ring, that I started on early this morning are still vaping nicely. No more filler rings for this girl. Forgot to mention. After boiling and drying them, then leaving the filler ring off they took more than expected juice; more than I've been able to get in them pre boiling and using filler ring.

I wrapped a coil with the PTB, 2 times around and the tails go to the bottom of the cart, still testing but so far, so good. Just waiting to see if it goes dry enough to burn it off the coil.

I wouldnt do that Stormy....at least take a match and see if it burns like plastic. Even if it doesnt burn and its plastic...it can create some really bad chemicals from heating. Wood fibers are bleached and have binders in them too. But its up to you.

From wikipedia:
"Tea bag paper is related to paper found in milk and coffee filters. It is made with a blend of wood and vegetable fibers. The vegetable fiber is bleached pulp abaca hemp, a small plantation tree grown for the fiber, mostly in the Philippines and Colombia. Heat-sealed tea bag paper usually has a heat-sealable thermoplastic such as PVC or polypropylene, as a component fiber on inner side of the teabag surface."
