Tennessee ....
I sort of agree with beckah54. If you got this item for review, knowing you were going to return the item, after the review. Then that would be wrong.
If you bought it with the intent to keep it and use it, and it didn't please you, was not working, broke, etc., then that would be different. Maybe the communication lines got crossed, and he didn't feel like he wanted to be reviewed, or thought you were scamming him someway. I would try one more time to communicate with him.
But... but I think if you have a problem, or an item doesn't work, or is missing parts, a person should be able to get a refund, if it is stated/written at a site. Otherwise the refund policy needs to be changed on the site.

it only proves that you can't turn 7.4 down.

Why is this being argued. The only reason 5v and cap resister issues were brought up were as an example of a situation not handled properly that suggests the company is *not honest*. The issue isnt about how many volts it actually gets, its that the cap does not behave as it was billed to behave. Then, when questioned the company flames people for their curiosity or deletes their thread or blames the initial video on a competing mod-Builder (not true) but never addressed the problem.

The point of speaking about this to begin with was just an example of integrity or lack there of. The point of this thread is not thsi issue, its about the integrity of the company who has refused to honor a contract made with a customer (return policy) - Unless you have proof from the website the cap is not supposed to work this way then please drop this type of talk as it's not helpful.

I understand some of you really love this company - thats a great thing, i'm glad youf eel so good and confident in your supplier. I honor your experiences whole heartedly - I however do not really feel like reading any more arguement on something that has already been prooved in a video. That video is legit, and if nHaler TRULY argued with its findings *They Would Post Proof!" in a responsible, kind, and BUSINESS-like manner - which they have not done.

The fact they have not done that speaks further to their integrity *in My opinion* but i know i dont have all the facts. Unfortunately, since nhaler has yet to have any sort of valid response i can only go off of what i am seeing which is quite reasonable.

(this is in response to the quote, i havent gotten through all the posts so they may have responded by now which i will get to.)

It IS true. Here is what is advertised:

3.7 Volt 1 - 3.7V Battery
1 - Blank Spacer Battery
Tight Bottom Cap

5.0 Volt 2 - 3.0V Batteries
Tight Bottom Cap

6.0 Volt 2 - 3.0V Batteries
Loosen Bottom Cap

7.4 Volts 2 - 3.7V Batteries
Tight Bottom Cap

Um... I dont get why you posted thsi as it proves you are incorrect. The device does not change its v output when the cap is loosened therefore it does not do what is advertised.

suppliers can't comment in here

Yes they can, so long as its not sales related, Angjen. That's been expressed on many occassions in this thread.

Besides, its not relevant, if he wanted to respond and didntf eel comfortable posting here he could start a thread in "response" in his own bboard area. Which has yet to happen.

Saying he cant post here is not a realistic thing because even ifit were true, though from what i understand its not the truth, he is not limited in responding in his own bboard. I dont understand why there is so much defending of thsi company going on when they have not spoken for themselves yet. That confuses me. The fact they refuse to respond indicates that they messed up an dont want to admit it. if they felt the OP was wrong they'd be speaking up and informing their customers!

But they aren't.

Without further information from the company we as consumers are only left with the OP's side of the story, and their failure to respond honestly makes me feel strongly about the lack of integrity. Why would they not deal with this situation? Why would they not respond? Why would they ignore or delete posts they don't like in their own section? Whyy, Why Why?

The bottom line is, supplies can speak on the board anywhere so long as its not in regards to sales (This is my understanding given many posts from old-time users of ECF - if this is untrue please quote where the rules state this.)

Maybe i should read all the posts before replying!! lol. but i keep seeing things to speak to!! :chortles:

e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat - FAQ: Forum Rules - All new members must read before posting!

Suppliers, Affiliates, Manufacturers etc
We want to keep the forums clear of spam and self-promotion so.......
If you are an e-cigarette supplier/affiliate/manufacturer etc, you must get in touch with Site Admin at: admin@e-cigarette-forum.com
.....to identify yourself before you start posting in the forums. Failure to do this may result in an immediate ban.
You must not promote your products or send members promotional messages through the private message system without their having contacted you first. If you are reported as having done this and evidence is seen you will be banned with no warning
If you are promoting any other product than e-cigarettes you must also get in touch with Site Admin to make sure your product is appropriate for the forum.
You may not post in the review section, or make any posts which reference your own products or solicit for business, except in the Suppliers Forum.
You may not post in the New Members Forum.
You may put one link to your product / website in your signature line.
You are free to contribute to any discussion in any other forum providing you follow the above rules.
You may not use the blog system to promote or solicit your business or products.
You may not post in any Suppliers' forums other than your own.
Contest threads with the purpose of building a high post count are expressly forbidden for all suppliers - these games take up a huge amount of forum resources and suppliers found to engage in these types of promotions may be banned with no further warning.
You may request your website be added to the Suppliers List that is maintained in the suppliers forum by getting in touch with any of the moderators or by posting a request in the thread.
You must not use the tag system under any circumstances. If you do so you risk losing your posting privileges for a set period of time.
You must not use the PM system to promote your product without prior permission - ie no cold calling. This will be treated as spam, and you will be banned.
You may not have a 3rd party make promotional posts on your behalf. If this is found to be the case both you and the 3rd party will be banned.
If you think something may make a user or moderator raise their eyebrows, don't do it - or ask a moderator first. Moderators may give infractions at any time at their discretion.
If you have any problems with the forum rules or other members, contact the moderators - do not start a thread on the board until you have discussed things first.
These rules have been devised over time by this forum's community to ensure that the board is a pleasant and neutral place for users to meet and discuss e-smoking.

Given this fact, suppliers should be aware that going against these rules is likely to offend potential customers. It should also be noted that the rules change here whenever new issues are brought up, so check this post often!

Suppliers' sites
We will not link to sites, or allow suppliers to post on ECF whose sites contain the following:
Health claims of any sort whatsoever, including:
quotes from medical professionals
comparisons to tobacco
words such as "safe" "healthier" "cleaner" "toxin-free" "no-carcinogens" etc.
Claims for smoking cessation, such as:
"give up tobacco" "quit smoking" etc
The above claims are misleading to potential consumers and may create problems with the regulatory agencies. Claims of this type are unsubstantiated since there is no recognised research data to confirm them, and this means that there are also legal issues if such claims are made.

Sponsoring Suppliers
Sponsoring suppliers are subject to the same rules as laid out above

To pay for the considerable costs of ECF, we operate a sponsorship system whereby suppliers pay a monthly fee. In return suppliers are provided with a forum of their own on the front page, a banner in the Approved Suppliers list, the ability to run banner adverts, ads at reduced rates where feasible, and other benefits.

Suppliers are responsible for the content of their forum, and have moderating permissions to that end.

The forum administration reserves the right to move, copy, or delete any threads in any forum at its discretion.

All threads must be locked once they reach 300 posts.

Contest threads designed to build a high post count are expressly forbidden. Contest threads are permitted on the condition that suppliers lock them after 300 posts and only run one at a time.

It is strictly forbidden for suppliers to post in the forum of another supplier unless they have permission to do so from that forum's moderator.

It is being argued because it is directly related. It was Dea's husband who posted the video originally on behalf of another supplier and insisted that because the video doesn't show a drop in voltage when configured for 7.4V it means that it does not work at 5V.

The "problem" has not been proven to exist in the first place. The instructions say to screw the cap tight when using 7.4V and guess what? At 7.4V with the cap screwed tight you get 7.4V. Drew said he will create a video showing the Xhaler operating at 5V, and we have absolutely no reason to doubt it.

I've posted proof from the website several times that the cap is not supposed to work that way. Here it is again. Here are the voltage configurations for the Xhaler:
3.7 Volt 1 - 3.7V Battery
1 - Blank Spacer Battery
Tight Bottom Cap

5.0 Volt 2 - 3.0V Batteries
Tight Bottom Cap

6.0 Volt 2 - 3.0V Batteries
Loosen Bottom Cap

7.4 Volts 2 - 3.7V Batteries
Tight Bottom Cap
Loose Bottom Cap = Instant Atomizer Burnout!!!
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

It is clear from this that the Xhaler is intended to drop 6V down to 5V, but not drop the voltage at 7.4V. The video showed the Xhaler not dropping the voltage at 7.4V, therefore the video shows the Xhaler working exactly as advertised. Just because some of the people involved refuse to accept that the video is not a valid test does not put the burden of proof on Drew to divulge trade secrets.

In this case it has nothing to do with loyalty to Nhaler, and you are right it is about integrity...but the truth is on Drew's side. The video is NOT legit, because it clearly shows the Xhaler operating exactly as advertised.

Drew said he is going to post a video that will refute the sham video and considering that OP has been proven fraudulent and Drew has consistently lived up to his reputation, I'll trust him. If Dea or her husband who posted the original video will post a video showing that the Xhaler does not work as advertised, there would be a reason to doubt Drew's integrity.

The fact they have not done that speaks further to their integrity *in My opinion* but i know i dont have all the facts. Unfortunately, since nhaler has yet to have any sort of valid response i can only go off of what i am seeing which is quite reasonable.

As has been repeated several times, this is a REVIEW thread and suppliers whose products are reviewed here are not allowed to post in this thread. Some of the events in this drama happened when Drew was not around and he has a family and a growing business at this the busiest time of year for families and businesses so he really should not have to waste his time trying to disprove a suspicious and unfounded accusation.

(this is in response to the quote, i havent gotten through all the posts so they may have responded by now which i will get to.)

Nikki

I know you are only trying to help and you are trying to be objective, Nikki, but you have missed some very important bits of information...and those bits of information seem to have been intentionally left out:

-Dea is associated by marriage to the person making false accusations at Nhaler.
-Dea & her husband made several attempts to receive a free sample of the Xhaler, ostensibly as a "beta tester", but working for a competing supplier.
-Dea was sent a new spring claiming that the original was missing...AFTER she'd posted about using the Xhaler (which would not have been working without the spring)
-Dea "recommended" to her husband that they NOT include the Xhaler in their review of High Voltage mods...but if their accusation was true (which it is plainly NOT), it simply means that the Xhaler runs at a higher voltage than advertised...that doesn't make it not high voltage, it makes it HIGHER voltage :-x

So now Dea is claiming that Drew offered an unconditional return policy that he should honor even though she has here been caught in multiple lies that add up to some very suspicious behavior...

So should Drew give her a refund? As much as it sounds like one may not be deserved and considering that her claim that there is an unconditional return policy has not been confirmed, as long as the Xhaler is returned in tact I would recommend that Drew take the high ground and give the refund.

Nikki, please visit the Nhaler forum here: Nhaler - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat

I hope that you will maintain your objectivity through this and watch this story closely. It is possible that Dea is simply the victim of a serious misunderstanding, but the evidence at this point is pointing in another direction.

Personally, I smell a rat. A BIG rat. I stand by Drew. I returned an Xhaler I had ordered for my hubby's birthday since he felt it was too big for him. We decided to order juice instead of refund and Drew even paid for return shipping! Something's not right here. Drew always does right by his customers so far as I know and usually goes the extra mile for them.
