Just curious if anyone else has had any issues with Ody in UFS. I've set it up the way Imeo shows in the videos and even tried adding a couple o-rings at places but whenever I screw the top on I get a bunch of juice in the collector tank. I am thinking it is being pushed between the dripping mode base and the UFS tank bottom as I've put o-rings everywhere else it could possibly leak through.

Dear all,
I'm newone at GG family. I already have ssggts and Iatty, but really would like to try Ody shortmode.
I trying to buy it by spare, but few things are out of stock:
- Housing for ceramic
- Cap
- Small cap
- Short mouthpiece
May be someone can sell it for me? Or shortmode kit ;)
I'm so sorry to disturb on this thread, but it's really last chance to get Ody now.
PS I'm dreaming to get it (hopefully with reasonable price)

maybe you keep the negative wire with the big ring that keeps the rebuildable Ody's part in place fright? Try to put wire inside slots and let it go together with the wick. And dont screw the UFS big cap with the small cap on it

Thanks Imeo on inspection you were right well kinda I didn't put the wire in between the ring but when I screwed it all together a small loop of wire got caught in there. This tank is not leaking at all. Hopefully next will be ok also.

An update for my mesh wrapped wick on my previous posts.

I finally got burnt taste after 4-5 (cant really remember how many times) refills and the mesh is pretty gunked up.. I didnt take a shot of the coil because i was experimenting to see if i can clean it. So i tried cleaning it by dry burning and dipping into water with the exposed part of the setup of the coil still attached to the base. using tweezers to scrap off the gunk from the surface. Very much like some genesis cleaning method. Resulted in a clean exposed much similar to the pic i originally posted but darker, again i didnt take pics cos im not sure if it will work until i tried another refill.

Results in the vapes are pretty good, still blowing lots of vapor. I unknowingly changed flavors so i cant really comment about getting the tastes back after cleaning - Stupid me. But it seems to be that the quality in taste has diminished slightly but it might be my juice. I'm gonna go at it for a few more refills and see what happens. By far my longest running coil setup so far, "cleanable" to boot.

Thanks for the update Madshock.

Mad, typically what consistency of juice are you burning? Is it 100VG, 100PG, 50/50?

Just curious if your refill to another juice had a higher VG compound than the prior. Not saying that the higher VG would be completely to blame, but perhaps the mixture overlap from the prior to the latter could be the culprit...? (Just speculating) Also there could have been a reaction from more of a lower acidic juice to another...?

Also, if my memory stands correct, I don't remember you posting the current ohms of this current coil you're using or the current voltage / wattage - battery size. This could possibly create the effect you are experiencing with the gunk.

Ohm may be a bit high with the voltage you are currently at (ie: 3.2 ohms / 3.7v) for example. Again, just speculation on my behalf.

Good luck with the testing. Hope it all works out well. I'd like to eventually try this after it's know to stand the test.

Definitely keep us in the loop...

The juice im using is 80/20 PG VG. Resistance is at 1.4-6 ohms with 32g Kanthal A1 running on 3.7v. Sad to say i cant read my next setup's resistance cause my multimeter just died on me. zzzz what timing

I have since finished that tank and smacked my previous juice in.. seems to be back to normal now so i would say the culprit is the Other juice which is also 80/20 pgvg. Both DIY mixes. 1st was strawberry then the latter was RY4. Next i will be trying out with 325 ss mesh to see the difference.. hehe. And I will also be switching to a 50/50pgvg mix of strawberry i just prepared just for this.

Ya know Mad, just a QQ for ya':

I was just thinking, wrapping the R wire of the coil around the metal mesh... It's not shorting the coil at all?

Raising the Ohms?

It just seems that there is more mass, hence more resistance....

You can pick up a decent multi meter for like $12 bucks if you're in a bind.

Peace-

That's why there is a oxidizing phase. it builds up a non conductive of carbon layer on the mesh itself to prevent shorts. Doesn't seem 100% but it works.

I'll probably make a trip down to a hardware store tomorrow to pick up a cheap one.
