A big part of the problem is new people keep asking the same question that's already been asked 100 times before. A 2 minute search would get them some answers or at least pointed in the right direction.

I get sick of the same questions so I just skim the post and write whatever most of the time.

Also, my Provaris are my favorite out of the e-cigs I have. They're the most reliable and best performing of the bunch. I still use my LT and VV box mod almost daily as well.
I lurked and read for about a week just to begin to grasp the differences between the different types of delivery systems. Newbie's biggest problem is he or she hops on and starts posting without even knowing what questions one should be asking.

...I sure wish some ProVari a$$hat had told me to buy a ProVari in my introductory thread. It would have saved me a bundle of money in the long run. :glare:

I'm glad I didn't get a ProVari right off the bat, I don't think I would have appreciated it as much. I still use almost everything I have, down to my cig-a-likes, and don't feel any step or any money spent was wasted. :2c:

Agreed!

And there are still some great devices out there. Evic is one of those devices in my opinion and there are many more. It will be a shame to have limited your vaping experience to just the ProVari!

you know what keeps me from buying a provari?
the dang price tag!!
EVERYTHING that i buy is on sale,
i use ego batts and i usually drip,
that has kept me from smoking,
granted one of my batts has died already, and i know that a provari would be worth it in the long run, but dang that is a lot of $$, like the $100+ RBA s i will stick with my phoenix lol

When did owning a ProVari become so bad and become equated with drinking the Kool-Aid?

It's not bad. And it's certainly not all, or even most ProVari users.

But, it's annoying when someone clearly states they're deciding between a VAMO and a LT2 (or any other comparison) and people jump in saying "ProVari".

I only know of 4 "honking beast" batteries/mods/etc: Provari, ZMax, Vamo, eVic
As far as I know, the Provari is the only one that doesn't offer variable wattage, and while the ZMax/Vamo intrigue me, the eVic kinda wins due to the large amount of "Oooh, shiny fancy toy!"-ness

Be careful with that evic. There was a recent thread where a guy dropped it 4 feet on the carpet and it broke lol.

from a noob: I've spent a lot of time bookmarking various sites to purchase all the stuff I read people rave about here, Provaris, lavatubes, evics, you name it. I get caught up in the "coolness" factor and how fancy they are and the glowing reviews and I start making my shopping list for the next paycheck...and then I remember that even if it's the hottest MUST HAVE thing, I really just want something that vapes. I don't want to learn everything I would have to learn to use those things. I just wanna vape. My Ego Twists do the job fine. I may give in someday, I am a sucker for the "latest and greatest" temptation, but I'm happy for now. :)

I have two co-workers quitting the stinkies and they are getting twists and I think they are great! Just keep vaping!

If you're looking for latest and greatest, ProVari probably isn't for you :) It's kind of old hat by today's flashy standards... The chipset is about 2 years old, aside from the update to 2.0 which only made a change to the min voltage (from 3.3 to 2.9) and the current limit (from 2.5A to 3.5A). It's pretty plain Jane... Press button, get ohms, set voltage... Vape... Not real flashy at all...

Hmm... Did someone mention Apple? LoL

It just works...

If ur tired of reading...get a provari

Really? I own 8 of them and none read to me at bedtime!!!!

Will I recommend one to a person, well sure...along with a Sigelei zmax, caravelas, iHybrid, ego twist, vision spinner, vamo, and tons of other mods. Bottomline...buy what trips YOUR trigger.

however I DO have to confess to becoming an instant Alice in Vapeland fangirl...I hope that does't get annoying to anyone...to each their own obssessions, yes?

I have that with MBV.

Don't get me wrong. I'm likely getting a ProVari. Soon. I just don't see myself evangeling. If someone asks, I may chime in. But I'm not going to go barging in on a conversation that has nothing to do with ProVari, extolling it's virtues, and calling everything else junk.
