I hope she makes it back in. Looks like she did the obligatory 5 posts in the new members forum and 1 post here. And now her new account is disabled. Her old one is still active - but the last post there was early this morning around 12:30am

edit: if anyone knows how to contact her outside of ECF, might be good to do that - she might need some help getting back here.

I PM'ed Classwife. Hopefully she'll be able to contact her. After all, you have to have an email address to sign up, right?

Fingers crossed.

Thanks for wanting to help. Everything is okay now.

Thank heaven there's a section for us oldsters, especially ones with health problems. That description fits me to a T. ---1 1/2 pks a day for 46 yrs and after I year on vaping, 1 year vacationing from vaping and finally back to vaping, I'm down to 5-7 cigs a day. Before anyone says anything, I realize that I haven't quit but it's been extremely difficult for many reasons, but I'm trying.
Dave

Welcome to the porch JB!! Always room for 1 more. You're doing great getting down to only a few ciggies a day. I'm sure your body is thanking you already!

Glad to see ecf is back. So weird, they went down and all hell broke loose in my life at the same time.

I've been informed that my worker's comp checks are being docked 40% now and 25% of what's left goes to my attorney. The 25% I was aware of. The 40% they just threw at me. So now I have to find another place to live, meaning I can't afford this one and there isn't anything cheaper for over 100 miles, so it will be a serious, rent a uhaul type, move. I was barely making it to start with, no way I can do this on 700 a month. This has been going on for 2 yrs and every time I turn around they are screwing me in some way, from losing my insurance, to accidentally forgetting to mail me my checks for weeks at a time and now this. I am on disability. no longer able to work, but they insist I look for a job. Makes no sense and you wouldn't think they could require a disabled person to look for work. SMH

This so sux and I am SO over it. Sorry bout the rant, but I'm about to lose my mind. No risk of losing my 'quit' though, can't afford smokes!

Ah geeze. Sounds like you got slammed, but it won't always be like this. Sometimes it's really hard to see where the next step is going to be. Maybe you could contact your legislator to point you in the right direction. There might be some help out there that you weren't aware of. I'm sending all kinds of good thoughts your way!

Hi ya all, what a great blog this is, I actually cried reading these stories!!! Well at 58, crying seems to come easy, as we now know how precious life really is. I vaped my first e-cig on September 11, 2012, my first hit, I immediately started to cry, inside the store... and you all know why , as I knew, I can finally stop smoking after 40+ years!!!!!.... it was the last cigarette I smoked. I had no hope left, of ever quitting my butts, I loved them, but hated being a smoker. Anyway, 1.5 years later, I am a vape freak!!! I don't care if I ever stop vaping, I am researching it like a maniac. When people that don't vape, ask me, when will you give that up, I answer, as soon as you give up your caffeine. I also ask them not to have their coffee near me, as I don't want to inhale their caffeine steam. just saying. I just ordered a Vamo 5, and am very excited. I vape Holy Grail only, as I love it.

Hey there nobutts! Welcome! Yep, that first vape was a shocker to me too and it was the ONLY thing that finally made me realize that quitting smoking could actually work for me. It's like a miracle!! I don't blame you one bit for shedding some happy tears! When people ask me about quitting vaping I just flat out ask them why should I? I love it! And after doing a lot of research, see no reason to stop doing something I enjoy. Vape On!!

Lilac - so glad you got it worked out. Would hate to loose you, especially over a glitch!

Geeze, it's been tough catching up here! Hope I didn't miss anyone!

I've always had a thing for math. I find it absolutely beautiful!

The limit of the inverse as x approaches infinity = 0.

ETA: Actually, all written language (including math) is beautiful and magical!

Yeah but - even though I majored in mathematics when it came to Non-Euclidean geometry and all of a sudden parallel lines could intersect at infinity - well yikes - my world was shattered.

Yup. Change the basic assumptions, get surprising results! Non-Euclidean geometry is . . . . . interesting.

Got my 1/2 hour on the treadmill... the good news is it's kicking my ...., especially in the legs as I'm so out of shape, but breathing isn't an issue:rickroll: I know it will just continue to improve with time. My goal is to wear a cute dress to church on Easter..have plenty to choose from depending on where my weight is at that time but if I keep at it certainly will loose some weight.

Dancing did you have any luck in the classifieds?

I was looking for a Kayfun light, but they were all out of stock...Where did you find one?

I'm behind on my reading but I heard the kayfun lite trumpet and came running lol.
in stock here with all 3 tank options. Kayfun Lite Plus Clone (Ehpro)
in stock with only stainless steel tank Kayfun Lite Plus Clone - 101 Vape
I prefer the kayfun lite plus over just the kf lite. The lite plus has air flow control. These are both knockoff versions. They come standard with lots of oil on them. They need a good washing in hot water with dawn dish soap. I've bought from both of these vendors without a issue. They both have quick shipping.

My Russian 91% was nasty as hell when i got it...tasted foul until i thoroughly washed it with dish soap. Absolutely get one with air control because otherwise you limit your coil builds. I have mine open pretty wide because these things chuck the vapor. i could easily draw though it but as soon as i hit the button it would draw hard...open the valve up and your in vaping nirvana. From what i have read on here and other places that the Ehpro and hCigar clones are good but some of the others are hit and miss.

Speek fur yourself! LOL We got the thingamabobber to curtail the bludgeoning we got from walking and encountering telephone poles, trees, cars etc. from walk reedin'! Of course, could go on here. Kids, cats, dogs... then you get into the poo syndrome...
I eat beans a lot. Really helps.

It was really Effexor that helped me the most, and I think it's because it's also a treatment for generalized anxiety syndrome, which is really the bottom-line of all my emotional disturbances. But getting off it was MURDER -- like having lightning shoot through your veins every few minutes. Andria :vapor:
I have been on Effexor for YEARS, and I wouldn't even think of getting off of it, even though even the generic is expensive. And anti-depressants in general for most of my life. I had a very bad experience with Paxil, and have been told that those of us who did, have permanently damaged biochemistries.

Thanks doughboy, there is nothing anyone can do, unless you know an apt for 400 a month? I just needed to vent and get it over with. This too shall pass and although I may not like what happens next, I'll vape thru it.
That is about what I pay. Good quality residential motels are difficult to find.

Thanks for the link PlanofMan, I've visited that thread many times to admire the ladies' creativity . I think I will check out JWrap's selections for the SVD, I've bought a couple of wraps from them for my iTaste vv v3s and been very pleased with their durability so far.
As much as they cost, they ought to last a long time!!

I am expecting THREE pieces of vapemail within the next few days!

Well, Effexor was one of the casualties of losing my insurance in '06, when my husband's company went under, and without insurance, there was NO WAY!!! I could afford to keep taking it. The *only* thing that saved me from a MERCILESS cold turkey off it was that my mom had just filled a MASSIVE prescription of it, then decided to stop taking it, AND her capsules were a stronger mg than mine -- so we bought some gelatin caps, emptied out all the contents, and used a gram scale to divide up the huge amount of high-mg caps my mom gave me -- that got me another 10 months, during which I went thru a very gradual reduction in dosage, and was finally able to stop taking them -- but even when I was down to the lowest possible concentration, after they were gone, I *still* went thru that lightning-thru-the-veins withdrawal from it. They were as much a godsend for me then as e-cigs are for me now; without them I very likely would have ended my life, I was in such despair. But knowing what I know now about how hard they are to get off, I would not take them again UNLESS I was at a similar point of absolute hopelessness. So far, thank god and knock on wood, I have not descended to that point again.

And today I'm in a very happy place: just passed 1 week smoke-free, and I just checked and found that I have not one, but TWO vapemail pkgs *out for delivery* !! YAY!!!!!!!! *happy dance*

I have a SvoëMesto kfl+ and 2 knockoffs ehpro and tobeco. I probably use my tobeco the most. It was my first one and the cheapest of the bunch. I don't find any difference in them as far as vape quality. I have no reason to be using tobeco more other then it's always ready to vape.
