Kanger tank correct?
I still use kanger tanks occasionally but there is a design flaw in them. I'm not going at the normal complaints. It's the cup that holds the coil. The coil sits close to the cup and is cooled by the juice. So beings it is hard to vape them to the bottom (leaking or burnt taste) you need to fill them with one or so ml left. The problem is beings your juice is cooling the coil housing it tends to turn your juice darker basically because it is getting cooked. So even when you top it back up, your adding juice to semi burnt juice. It kinda pisses me off. Your two options are to dump 1ml or so every tank or add more juice to the burnt juice. Anyone else ever notice this or am I on a senior moment tangent. I'm putting that damn soap box away for the night.

The third option, depending on the juice, is to refill it two or three times between cleanings anyhow. I love my mini protanks, and I've found that if I don't let them get all the way down some darkening doesn't really affect the flavor much. About the time that my clear Earl Grey Tea has turned kind of a pale amber I will take the level down to almost empty and then clean everything out well. The flavor isn't really affected as soon as the color is.

I've got a question that a DIYer might know the answer to. When I first start vaping about six months ago, I got a good deal on some TFA flavorings at Wizard Labs. I bought them with the intention of using them to add to frosting, I was all off on cake decorating at the time, lol. I have no idea of what the shelf life of the flavorings are? I still have seven left, they're in the little glass vials, sealed in a plastic bag and have never been opened. Are they too old to use? They're about six months old now. I don't see an expiration date on them. I was hoping to make some juice with them?

I swear, this cat is like Stewie on Family Guy... Mom... mom... mom... mom... except it's Meow... meow... meow... meow... meeeowwww... just on and on... she doesn't get that her "daddy" has gone to bed, and I have better things to do than spend all evening in the garage! :D

Kim, I really don't know for sure, but if they're sealed... probably still good? That's usually my SOP... ;)

Andria, I've got a little calico kitty, she's 16 years old. Every night before bed I have to make sure that the water bowl is full to the top with clean water. If the bowl is not full enough (half full is apparently not acceptable) to suit her she'll wake me up by dragging and banging the bowl around in the kitchen floor.

Silly cat......

ETA: Thanks for your thoughts on using the flavoring btw,

Tuxie gets wild at night, which I guess is pretty normal for a cat. We had to start bringing her in at or before sundown, when we discovered a humongous freaking GREAT HORNED OWL stalking her one night... she thought she was stalking *it*... hahahah... she'd have been an owl treat if we hadn't gotten her in!

Ok, thanks guys. The juice I use is 85% PG, since I order from their "PG Blends" collection. As for the disassembling, alisa1970 gave me a link to a video, so I can see how to take it all apart, but I am so glad you actually *wrote down* what to do to and with it, once it's disassembled -- are we the last literate generation, who know how to read and follow directions? ;)

It's not so much that having pure grain alcohol here would cause me a problem, I wouldn't have drunk that crap even when I was killing a 12pk a night! :D It's just a really needless expense for what we consider a really toxic substance, when there are apparently other less toxic (to us) chemicals that could be used -- h2o2, that's peroxide, right? We got that, and isopropyl alcohol; in fact I always rinse the tanks out with the iso. alcohol, then rinse again with purified water.

Anyway, no, there's no real rush, now that I have some idea what's going on. I made the unfortunate discovery earlier that my NEW T3S apparently leaks, and if you can visualize a redhaired woman throwing a hissy fit and cussing a blue streak, that'd be me. Fortunately I also have that beautiful little red ARO, and it works GREAT, (the resistance appears to be 1.9! so I turned the V down a little) so I am still vaping happily, but this makes it even more important to get that DIY stuff and make my own juice, because a substantial amount of my very limited supply has been wasted by all these antics. :-x Interesting note, though: the ARO until a few minutes ago had the "Morning Spice" mixture in it, which I hastily poured back into its needle-top bottle, and rather than arsing around with rinsing out the tank, etc, I just put some fresh Virginia in it -- and damn is that good!!!!! So I can certainly make the Virginia, and make it even better to my own taste.

Apparently I also need to shop around for some additional coils and maybe a diffrent kind of clearo, because I did read that some folks had problems with these T3S's leaking. From the destructions given, it sounds reasonably straightforward to get this original coil cleaned up, but until it *is* cleaned up, I need to make sure I have functional coils!!!

All you need is a 'mini' bottle of cheap vodka, like $2-3. Not sure about your state, but they should have them at the liquor store. Put in a very small jar with a lid. I've been using the same vodka for 3 months, it's barely even tinted even at this time. It's not like you have to throw it out after you use it.

Maybe someone else will chime in, but I heard it is NOT good to use rubbing alcohol, something about destroying the tiny rubber o-rings. Can't remember the thread, but they said to not use regular alcohol to clean/soak any parts of the atomizers.

Have no idea what your heads look like, but the ones for my vivi nova's have a small silicone cap that you have to remove when dry burning, because it can melt. Don't pulse more than 3 seconds at a time, although I popped a coil at 3 seconds.

All of this may have already been told to you, I'm several pages behind.

<-has been fighting with a sinus infection in all its cold sweat shivering glory. I am not awake for long in one shot.
crep myrtle? alergies maybe? you might try some benidryl, and also vape minty flavors or light menthol to sooth the burn.

I've had some flavorings over a year now. some have been opened and are still good, so you should be OK

Late to the party... AGAIN
I second mtbakervapor.com I DIY and STILL usually buy from them every month. Just because the liquid is so good and inexpensive. use the coupon code vaporfrombaker and get another 10% off your order. they are already the least expensive of all the good ones out there. Start with the star ratings... 4 and 5 stars are usually pretty good.

Exactly what I did. Except, I didn't get an amber bottle.... I just keep it in the wrapping and stuff it in the freezer.

just FYI...
I can get 15 ml of Hawk sauce from mt baker for $4.99.
I got the flavoring, and factoring in all the costs (I reuse my bottles), it costs me $.59 to make the same amount on my own.
tradeoff, is that I don't have the same quality control they do. :)

too bad you are not closer.
for the first 3 months of vaping, when I went to visit my parents, I would open my LT and show them how safe and good vaping is.
My mom has since done some research on her own and is 100% for it.

I bought 12- 4oz amber glass bottles w/lids for when I finally DO open the 500ml of 100mg that's in the freezer. I didn't open it when I got it, that's my SHTF stash.;)

Yup, same here. Unless I top it off as soon as it hits half full, it will get darker and darker as time goes on and starts to taste nasty. Refilling at half full seems to let me do it a few times before I have to throw out the last tiny bit because it taste burnt.

thankusmile.gif
I ordered 125 ml of 60 mg nic. Not sure if I'll start DIY right away, but I'll feel a bit more secure knowing I have a little nic stash in the freezer.

Like I said up top, I have 500ml of 100mg, never opened, in the freezer. I have no plan to open it unless nic gets so highly taxed I can't afford more or if it's banned. I just feel better knowing it's in there. Been working out of a 120ml 48mg bottle for 3 months and going to order another one today. I'll keep ordering smaller bottles until I can't, for whatever reason, keeping my stash unopened. Although I am mixing for 3, I only vape 4mg, my son and neighbor at 12mg, so it lasts for quite a while. Plus, neither of them chain vape like me.

I read somewhere that they are supposed to last about a year, with exception of the vanilla custard, which is 6 months.

@Myrany, so sorry to hear you aren't well and hope you feel better soon. It will be interesting to see if my seasonal allergies act up this spring since I'm not smoking. When I quit before, I had no issues at all with my allergies, they just disappeared. Of course I was totally miserable though. Would be nice to be happy and NOT have my allergies this time.

Here when they bloom is completely dependent on when the owners trimmed them back in the fall. There are crepe myrtles blooming nearly all spring and summer somewhere in town. This is the only one close enough to the house to nail me though. :(

Yep it is allergies coupled with a deviated septum that adds up to a whopping infection in no time flat. Got the allergy shot and a scrip for antibiotics yesterday. Good idea on the mint. :)

I have asked this question too. The results I got were on average were pg has a longer shelf life then vg. My question was on flavored juice which differs then yours. The results were about a year for vg and 2-3 months longer for pg. I would think unflavored un-nic pg-vg base would be much longer. My base bottles have exp dates. The dates are about 18 months from purchase. The other part of this question is they may have expire for using in food processing but does that really equate to vaping? Could vaping shelf life be shorter or longer? i I really haven't found this answer.

What'cha vapin' on this mornin' everyone? I'm tootin' on my first tank of Gremlin Juice's Vanilla Custard for breakfast, it's pretty darn good. It did need a couple of weeks in the steep box; peeked at it this morning and it was that pretty orange color so I knew it was good to go. I love it when a new juice joins the rotation...:)

I had been using those tiny bottles of vodka ($1) for rinsing out my syringes. I dumped one into a tall glass of cranberry juice and drank it-- was interesting. I put base into it, and am now using that for rinsing the syringes. I use the denture tablet method for the coil heads.

enjoying some caffee mocha from halo in my new evod.

On a side note.. one of the two evods wont screw on properly on my MVP, small gap.. small enough to not make contact. Afraid to force it down. Really odd since the other evod screws on buttery smooth. ;{ it screws on okay on a EGO batt and works but just cant get a reading on the mvp ;[ AH well needed a tank for that EGO batt as well ;)

MBV cheesecake. I really hated this flavor the first time I tried it but after a long steep it is really good. It is a mellow easy on the throat large heavy cloud.
