I was cracking up watching this, the poor guy is more lost than I am; he doesn't realize that the drip tip and that screw in top piece that covers the fill holes have to come out together, so he's trying to fill it from the bottom through those tiny little holes in the juice control disk....

Now I don't feel so bad about my forgetful ineptitude after all......:D

Lol I know it was a feel good video for you.

Hmm about to throw this kanger evod 2 out the window.. cranked the mvp DOWN to the lowest setting and still having a hot vape ;/ its almost like these things work too well ;)

Are you in VW mode? If so, try putting it in VV mode, you can actually go to a lower power. I have a couple flavors that burn at the lowest VW setting on my VV3 (my MVP is model 1, VV only), but going to VV I can get good flavor. :2c:

edit:

Just checking in.
I'm 57, and happy to say that my wife, son, daughter and one grand daughter have all quit analogs by vaping.
I would love to tell you all about all the money I've saved by quitting, but I simply can't. You see I'm now addicted to collecting epipes.

"Hello my name is Fedgunner and I am an epipeoholic."

Hello and welcome Fedgunner - You did save money and spent it well on your new pipe collection. I believer there's a couple-few other hanging here on the porch that like pipes too. Even someone who has fashioned their own. Hang around - you're sure to meet them.

I hate mail that requires a signature!!! If mailmen actually rang the bell, that would be different. So, I get notice on my phone that the mailman left a notice that no one was available to sign. I should have run outside half-naked. I probably would have caught him.
@%^!)*^&!!!

oh no! That's aweful.

OK all you Provari owners, what makes the Provari so good that I'm going to have to lower my nic?

Maybe it was due to new PV ecstasy and not the nic. When I get a new RBA or mess around w/ a new build type, I think its hitting me w/ more nic - but then I think - well yea you beening hitting on it constantly for 30 minutes - you should be getting nic'ed up. Congrats on the new PV.

As usual welcome to the porches,
So according to your user name, you work for the FBI and carry a piece ?, just curious.
And because were on the front porch, what is your mod and topper/juice of choice or are you like the rest of us still searching.

Actually the name comes from my job.
I'm a Ballistic Technician for Federal Premium Ammunition. My main responsibilites are testing ammunition for government and law enforcement contracts. (we are called "gunners" by everyone in the plant)

Favorite e-pipe right now is an epipemods 18350 acrylic Dublin v3, tank is a Protank II.

Well folks, I am going to try to wean myself off of the Older Folks threads. I know I don't post much but I have been here through all of the changes and don't want to put myself through any of it again.

This is for all the newer folks that weren't here during all the iterations. Our first thread was closed by the one that started it because someones feelings got hurt. We were devastated. :( Txtumbleweed started another thread for us (Thank you Tx). Everything was going well until the morning we all woke up and found that our thread had been moved to the lounge because it had turned into a social thread instead of staying on the vaping topic.

We knew that new folks would never think to look in the lounge so Tx graciously hosted another thread in the general forum with the agreement that it would be used for vaping conversations and the thread in the lounge would be for everything else.

Both of our threads had gotten so big they had to be closed and Mike generously agreed to host our new threads, both front porch for vaping conversations and the back porch for everything else. If we don't abide by the forum rules and keep this thread mostly about vaping we are going to wake up one morning and find that it will either be moved or it will be closed. :(

Hi guys, what size coil unit do I need to get for use with my provari using the protank 2? It comes in 1.8 or 2.2, does it matter?

(Emphasis in Mattiem's post added by me)

oh no, Mattiem - so it ain't so. I'm kinda hoping you fail at weaning from the porch(s). You'll be missed.

And let me take this time to remind folks, please do try to stay on topic (vaping) here with the subject matter and try not to stray too much from it within your posts even while talking 'vaping'. It is true the mods monitor the threads and if we appear 'too social' they make take acceptation to that again. I'd hate to loose our presence in the general forum.

Remember we have the back porch to talk about other stuff or mix and match vaping and other stuff in the lounge.

Either should work just fine. With most variable devices, if it's too low on the Ω it will throw an error.
Looking back, my initial purchase of a cig a like starter kit was money that could've been much more wisely spent on better gear but I do firmly believe that those little batts and carts worked because they looked, felt, and puffed like a cigarette to me.
never think the first purchase was wasted!! It was THAT purchase that caused you to start your journey into better health!

It is unfair and inhumane to not post a link to that drinking bird .. I must have one to go along with my Cat Clock with Pendulum Tail and Moving Eyes ..
Amazon.com : The Famous Drinking Bird : Toys & Games, but what you would use it for vaping, I don't know. :)
You forgot to mention, that they can appear & disappear at will :) little buggers !! :vapor: :vapor:
this is true vape gnomes, like all creatures from Elde will do that.

I am just about out of patience with this Davide King glassomizer, although I guess it's more operator error than equipment failure. The drip tip and the screw in piece that covers the top fill area have to be unscrewed as one piece to expose the fill holes and it's a PITA. There's also a center post attached to a plastic disk with two holes in it in the bottom of the tank that controls the juice flow to the coil, you twist the post to open and close the holes. Checking on how open the holes are is difficult, you can't really see them unless the juice is a light color. I cannot seem to remember to close the holes before I fill the tank, which then floods. If I do remember to close it before filling I then forget to open it when I try to vape, which results in another flood when opened because I sucked my brains out trying to get it to vape Then I have to remember to close the holes if I still have juice in it after removing the tank from the batt or it leaks all the juice out in a puddle in my storage caddy.

I'm too old and forgetful for this one folks.....

Thanks for the link Legolas, but that review is for the bcc Davide, mine is the dual coil Davide King.

Ok reply to ALL the rest. The Davide single-coil is filled from the bottom through those wick holes.. Maybe the King was supposed to be an improvement? I don't see it as such myself. How well does it vape? Does it leak like the Davide minis?

The Davide King and the regular Davide are really pretty different. True, the regular Davide is filled from the bottom but it doesn't have an adjustable wicking plate, the King does, but the fill holes for the King are on the top, under the drip tip and a screw in cover. Can't comment on the mini Davides leaking; I have three and none of them have ever leaked.

And with that, I'm done talking about the Davide King, sorry I ever brought it up.

I built my very first coil today!!!! I bought a Kayfun Lite clone (probably a clone of a clone......read: el cheapo) But anyway I built a coil on it & rather proud of myself :) I did 7 wraps of 30 on a 5/64 bit, heated & squished it together. Made a wick from rolling a bit of cotton ball. Put it on my MVP 2 to check ohms. I got 1.6. Was trying for 2.0 but its ok. This thing snaps & pops like a campfire!! Have to fan away the vapor :).

Of course it's not all sunshine & roses.....it leaks fluid out the airhole. I tried the fill it & flip it method since I was nervous about trying to fill from the side screw port. Don't think I have the correct "ketchup bottle" squirter to do that. I've watched a number of videos, and clearly there are a bunch of possible reasons for the flood. Will just keep trying & playing with it til I figure it out. I turned it upside down and vaped thru the airhole like one video showed, and it seems to have stopped leaking, but that may be because my tank is nearly empty now, lol.

Also I believe this is actually a 3.1 but was advertised as a Lite. Not real sure and I don't care. It reallllly vapes well. It tickles me that it's called a Kayfun. My name is Kay, and Kay is having Fun! Rofl

Congrats on your build!! Welcome to the kf club ;) 1.6 is good for this device. Roll up a little paper towel and put it in the air hole to sop up the juice. You can hold the device upside down and blow into it to clear juice. Hold paper towel to cover air hole so you don't shoot ejuice across the room.

I rolled up paper towel & stuck it in the hole. It came out nearly dry so think I have rid it of the juice down there in the bottom :). Too late on your 2nd point...I blew juice everywhere earlier
