I started vaping full time on the first of this year.
I tried about three months earlier with an eGo starter kit. I wasn't very impressed with the experience. My wife and I then went to a local BM and saw the Kamry K-1000 e-pipe. Iasked to handle it and it felt like it was something I could work with.
I came home, filled the tank and haven'looked back.
That Kamry lead the way to Pro tanks, cartos, and an Epipemods acrylic Dublin.... now looking at all the different pipe mods and plotting....so much plotting.

Hello Welcome to the porch

With FT I don't really want to restart my pal pay or other methods to pay them. I am also too impatient to wait the weeks to get my stuff. Even if it's only a backup piece. I'll pay a little more to get the same thing from a vendor here.

Well guess the vape cult has to grow a bit and FT might resort to local warehouses (like hobbyking).

Just checking in.
I'm 57, and happy to say that my wife, son, daughter and one grand daughter have all quit analogs by vaping.
I would love to tell you all about all the money I've saved by quitting, but I simply can't. You see I'm now addicted to collecting epipes.

"Hello my name is Fedgunner and I am an epipeoholic."

As usual welcome to the porches,
So according to your user name, you work for the FBI and carry a piece ?, just curious.
And because were on the front porch, what is your mod and topper/juice of choice or are you like the rest of us still searching.

I am just about out of patience with this Davide King glassomizer, although I guess it's more operator error than equipment failure. The drip tip and the screw in piece that covers the top fill area have to be unscrewed as one piece to expose the fill holes and it's a PITA. There's also a center post attached to a plastic disk with two holes in it in the bottom of the tank that controls the juice flow to the coil, you twist the post to open and close the holes. Checking on how open the holes are is difficult, you can't really see them unless the juice is a light color. I cannot seem to remember to close the holes before I fill the tank, which then floods. If I do remember to close it before filling I then forget to open it when I try to vape, which results in another flood when opened because I sucked my brains out trying to get it to vape Then I have to remember to close the holes if I still have juice in it after removing the tank from the batt or it leaks all the juice out in a puddle in my storage caddy.

I'm too old and forgetful for this one folks.....

THAT was my main problem. For me,, prolly 80% of the "addiction" was having that white tobacco stick between my fingers. Constantly. Always. Part of my anatomy. Thing I find odd is... don't need it with an ego. Then graduated to mods and it's not a problem. That really surprised me.

That was exactly why I knew I had to get a cigalike. I really didn't foresee getting another PV so soon after the first, but I came to realize that although the cigalike got me to point of quitting, I really needed something more realistic tasting and feeling in my mouth/throat if I really wanted to make the quit stick, and the iTaste vv3 was the same price as the eRoll, so I didn't feel like I was getting in "over my head." :thumb:

OMG! I... I'm... a smokestack! (Hangz hed in shame)

Don't have a mini VV but I assume they're dual coil. Seems to me the DC's do run thru a ton of joose over a single coil. And to be honest.... I don't really see that much of a flavor difference. Thing is, it's getting harder and harder to find a single coil. I guess the juice makers are pushing them! :)

IMHO, the latest and greatest aren't always the greatest.

Nope, my mini vivi's are single coil, although I know there ARE dual coil vivi's, I can only imagine how much juice they would go thru.

The fasttech wait is killing me ;/ really cant say im gonna place a second order there myself seeing it takes at least two weeks to arrive ;) Hope customs doesnt get their greasy hands on it else it wont be so cheap :p

ROFLMAO!!! From everything that's been said about those slowtech orders, I think I'll give them a miss... I'm wayyyyyyyyyy too impatient to wait that long... for ANYTHING!!! ;)

Just got my 3rd order of Virginia that I'm trying out. I finally, last night, tried out the 2nd order that arrived yesterday in the middle of all my coil-connimptions. It was a little closer than the first one I tried, the one that had that bad chemical taste/smell, but still not THE ONE. I'm guessing that MFS must make their own blend of the "Virginia" flavoring, or maybe, MAYBE, what I've been getting from MFS was already aged a bit, since they ran out? Could be, I guess. If that's true, then maybe these others will become acceptable at some point.

The DIY stuff from MFS will be here Monday, so I can start trying to figure it out. I won't be able to do it all the way "from scratch" of course, till I get some plain nicotine, but at least I can make a small start, and maybe get something vapable out of it, since it will be 50% their VG blend of Virginia. But it sure would be great if I *could* make it myself; I figured out that getting the VA flavor, and their 60ml of plain nic, would actually be less costly than the 30ml of Virginia I last ordered from them, and I REALLY like those numbers!! :thumb:

Andria

Seriously? I don't have an issue with FT's Looooong shipping. I KNOW how long it will take, always 3-4 weeks in my case. If it was only a couple dollars difference, I'd buy local to get it faster. But at 3-4X the difference, I'll wait. :)

At one point, before I started taking my smokes outdoors so my son wasn't missing 20+ days of school every years, I was a real chain smoker myself, 3+ pks a day. Soon as I started taking it outside, I immediately dropped to 2pks a day. Over the 15-16 yrs since then, I gradually whittled it down to 1 pk, or maybe a little more in the summer, 24-25 a day, when the weather's nice and I can sit out and read all the time. :D But this winter, just as soon as it started getting cold, I started whittling it down more. Before I got to this forum and got interested in vaping regularly, and maybe even quitting smoking ;) I was smoking about 15 a day.

Now, I do seem to vape pretty much constantly, but if I get busy with something, I forget about it for a while... then of course, pretty soon those addict cells start wondering about a smoke? And then I remember, oh yeah, this thing, not a smoke! :D At which point my addict cells go back to sleep for a bit, perfectly content with the facsimile sensation!!

But yesterday when I was so frustrated, that cigalike eRoll REALLY got me thru -- not for the taste, obviously, but just so I could hang on to something familiar and comforting. It really helped!! :D

Andria

When I started vaping, I was smoking 2.5+ packs a day and in 2 weeks was down to 6-7 cigs a day. My body did it on it's own, I wasn't TRYING to cut back, I just enjoyed vaping more than smoking.

Well to me none of them taste like what they say they are exactly. It just puts me in the ballpark. If someone gives me a flavored Pringle I never can tell what it is supposed to taste like till I read the can or someone tells me. Then it's like oh yeah it does taste like that. I no longer search for throat hit, I am a cloud chaser more or less. I like smooth non-harsh vapes. So my taste in vapes rarely meet other vapers taste. Fruits taste like fruits for the most part to me. To answer your question I guess it does taste something like Bavarian creme but it is a vape that I like so far.

Thank goodness! It's not just me! To me, the flavor of the juices just HINT at what it says on the label. Maybe it just RESEMBLES the flavor? None, not b&m or my diy actually taste like the flavor. Although most of my diy seems to come closer, it's just a hint to me.

Son just left, with 4 bottles of juice........Peach Brandy, Apricot Brandy, Frosty Melon and 555. At least he brought 2 of the empty bottles back. I insist on getting them back, he gets his juice for free. Plus I pay a tad extra for the needle bottles. He brought the 2 nonworking CE4's back and I gave him 2 more. I tried to give him a Vivi Nova, but he tried it and didn't like the draw. He likes the tighter draw of the CE4's. I'm just the opposite, I think the CE4's are trying to give me a hernia, so I don't use them!

He went thru my flavors and picked out his 'order' for next time....English Toffee w/Dbl Chocolate, Pina Colada, Butter Rum Lifesaver and French Vanilla Ice Cream. Sounds like a restaurant menu.

I'll make him some 5ml test bottles next week and let him take them home and try them. Then he can tell me which ones he liked and I'll make him larger bottles. That works for us. :)

I gotta get mixing! I need to make a dozen for my BFF who's coming to visit next month, so she can take larger bottles home with her when she goes back.

Hmm about to throw this kanger evod 2 out the window.. cranked the mvp DOWN to the lowest setting and still having a hot vape ;/ its almost like these things work too well ;)

Are you getting burnt taste too? Do you know the resistance of the coil? They are bottom coil so you really shouldn't get too hot a vape. Is your juice getting cooked...turning darker?

Does it matter? Not really. That's one of the nice things about VV / VW, you can adjust to the coil you have. VW would make the adjustment for you, VV you just need to change the voltage to taste. Of course, the P is only VV, so you're stuck with that. So in operation, just like a Spinner, put your filled topper on, start low and work up until happy :)
Thanks David, I haven't quite got the difference in vv and vw straight in my head yet , but I can figure out low and high LOL

I was cracking up watching this, the poor guy is more lost than I am; he doesn't realize that the drip tip and that screw in top piece that covers the fill holes have to come out together, so he's trying to fill it from the bottom through those tiny little holes in the juice control disk....

Now I don't feel so bad about my forgetful ineptitude after all......:D

Welcome, Fedgunner. I don't have any epipes, but I have seen some really nice ones. You are not smoking...that's all that matters. Congrats to you and your family.
