AndriaD, I'd recommend the sigelei mods if you want something with a bottom side (aka pinky) button. The #1, #2, #8 (not to be confused with the 8W) and #20 (it might be 23,not sure) all have them. Can be found for $30-ish or less. Low $20's if you decide on a bottom button model.

Never ordered from these folks but Vapor Joe's posted deals with them a few times. They have some of the sigelei I've mentioned:

http://www.vaportekusa.com/sigelei-mech-mods-1

desertvapes.com has under $25 bottom button models

EHPro also has a pinky button telescoping mod that gets good reviews but it's often in the $50-$60 range.

BSO,
Can you recommend a good mech (telescope maybe) that can use a kick?

I found this one, and I like the clean lines of it; no fuss, just sleek and modern; it's also very affordable!

It's in the same ballpark with the iTaste, price-wise, though I know I'd have to buy the batteries/charger extra, but still, considering some of the prices I've seen on these things, this is very economical, $39.95 at litecigusa. Just wondering if anyone has experience with it, is it good, etc.

And hiya, LotusGirl! Welcome!!! You've found the friendliest forum on the internet!! :D

Thx much!!
Andria
It looks very much like my Drawtube. I moved the button to the top porton above the battery, and my arthritic hands can use it just fine. Looks like the fallen angel can do the same.

Your first report on the P'vary got me in the 'gotta get one of those' mood, but now since you can't tell the difference in the P' and the Vamo...no more flame in that fire. :D

I am loving it :)

THough I still use the REOs more. It is a rock solid device and you really can tell the difference in the vape between the vamo and it.

Got a Hammer 'Clone' on order from FT...says 'Ready to Ship'. Don't know why it should set there for a few days before it is shipped, but that's Slow Tech...I mean Fast Tech.

When it arrives, guarantee it will be out and about with me. I need the exercise, quit beer a long time ago, so it looks like a suitable exercise replacement. :D

As an owner of a hammer clone, I would recommend going with another pipe style if you want to take it out and about. The hammer is heavy and not really all that comfortable to hold for long periods of time.

It is very cool looking though.

MikeE3, I missed the DNA 30 co-op...dang it! :( But found a planning co-op on another site. It appears to me that I'll need to get some different batteries if I do get the DNA, right...I mean to get the full potential from the DNA it will require more amps, correct?

And it's been along time for me with PC boards and solder... the heat sink might be a good idea for me too if I get lucky enough to get in this one.

What are your plans for the container for the DNA? I see on that thread some are getting containers designed...are there any available from the design site?

Thanks :toast:

Legolas, I see you are a fan of some of my Fav flavors from MBV...have you tried the Vanilla Butternut? Awesome is all I can say about it! :toast:

I totally agree with you about the flavor of juice...puts you in mind of the flavor, but not totally there. I was in a B&M this weekend and one of the owners handed me a carto full juice to try and said what does this taste like? I was like a 'Deer in headlights'. Took a couple of hits and humbly said, 'I give up...what is it'...like your Pringles analysis. :toast:

Try the Vanilla Butternut, if you haven't already...I got the flavoring and have some DIY steeping, but that don't mean for all of y'all to go running over there to MBV and drain 'em dry, save me 30ml's please. :toast:

March 7, 2014: The Associated Press reports:

Washington state lawmakers have approved a 75% tax on electronic cigarettes.

E-Cigarette Tax Hike in Washington State Moves Forward | NACS Online
To go into effect in July, I think, so this morning, I'm $307 poorer. Just in case provape raise prices early. Now I REALLY cannot buy anything vape related this month.
Think I will get it in the mail, and not open it until next month starts, if I avoid spending anything else this month
Got the starter kit, extension cap, extra battery, and the 1 year warrantee.

And a quote of the last line:
"The bill would drop the taxation if the federal government approves e-cigarettes as a smoking-cessation device."

So, now we pretty much know... FDA will NOT approve as a cessation method. They will most likely set as a tobacco product. Even though it isn't.
Get ready to hear about me being arrested for vaping in public.

Good idea to get it now Ken, after this tax bill goes into effect the base price for a Provari will jump from $159.99 to $279.99 after taxes....

Greetings.

Pack a day smoker smoking Marlboro Red for about 25 years of my life. Tried quitting at least ten time using anything and everything available from xantex, the patch, the gums, dip, pouches, and even a cig looking ecig by GreenSmoke.

About two months ago, still heavy smoking, i noticed two health symptoms that i never had before. First, a heart thing that i felt that seemed like either a murmer or a irregular beat. Something that i noticed that made me sit back from whatever i was doing to make sure i wasnt having a heart attack or something. Second, i had one bout of shortness of breath. The day i had the breathing problem, i went straight to the hospital. While driving myself to the hospital, i was thinking to myself, gonna get everything checked out and if there are no signs of illness, whether to my heart or lungs, i would give up my nasty habit of smoking. Long story shorter, after about two weeks of hospital tests, testing everything from my blood, ekg, to my heart, to a heart stress test, to a lung xray, to finally a lung stress test, everything thankfully checcked out normal or as normal as it could be after 25 years of smoking. What did i do continue to do during those two weeks? I continued to smoke and kept smoking after those two weeks when i got the hospital ok.

Pretty sad how much smoking had taken over my life.

I am married with a beautiful wife, and have two beautiful girls, ages 7 and 3. I am 43 years of age and want to grow old with my wife and see my kids grow up and get married and yadda yadda. I don't want my family to see me go out early because of smoking...

Thankfully a couple friends turned me onto vaping. Been smoke free as of February 26, 2014. Its only been about 10 days smoke free, but with each passing day, its become easier and easier. I havent had the heart symptom or shortness of breath since.

I thank my friends that turned me onto vaping, these forums and members showing their support and sharing their stories, and vaping, for hopefully saving my life.

Hi and welcome to the porch Em. That's a powerful story on how insidious 'the habbit' is to break. So glad you've broken free and are on your way to a new lifestyle. If'n you got any questions - just ask. Someone here will likely have an answer.

Just thought I would brag a bit. Nothing will get you to quit faster than being told that you have lung cancer. [/URL]

Way to go Matt - congratulations!

Yes, with the DNA you'd be better off with the new high amp batts like the LG's or Sony's. I picked up some LG's from E-bay and a few more from a recent co-op. I'm hoping to get the custom enclosure they're talking about in the co-op. As it is now, the designer of that enclosure is 'thinking' to only make it available to the co-op members. He doesn't want to risk modders / vendors from buying it relatively cheap from Shapeways then using it to build commercial mods for sale at retail prices.

Couldn't press the 'like' button on that post. Not even to indicate I appreciated you posting it to keep us informed.

Yepper - got us thinking about doing the same thing.

I remember a little party that started about some taxation without representation where people got ...... off that a tea tax was the last straw. Wonder when the American people are going to realize that the current things are no better than they were before. I swear i will never vote for a Repubocrat again. Two party system = dumb and dumber. Never ceases to amaze me that states are trying to make dope legal and vaping illegal.

you will find a way to do this... it wont be used for "vaping" it will be for "aroma therapy" and not intended for human consumption, etc. Either that or we will all be ordering our stuff from overseas.

The aforementioned angel, the EHPro that is of similar design. Not sure which of the Sigelei would. You can always check out the mod you're thinking of getting at the FastTech site. There are reviews and discussion links for most products and being able to be used with a kick is generally mentioned. Not saying to purchase there just get the info. I believe most of the Poldiac (top side button) versions will do a kick and the Nemesis (bottom button) will. They even offer colored tubes for the Nemesis now. About the only thing that won't work is the cheaper single tube 18650 versions. You need to get the buncha tubes versions because you need the kick rings.

There will surely be some work around to avoid the taxes. No secret there are some great minds involved with the vaping industry...we see it everyday. :) But, then sooner or later someone in the Big Gov IRS will come knocking on the door demanding all the back money + interest and penalties. This really gets me worked up against the system.

Agree with you.
Be nice if we could get some good honest politicians (oxymoron, I know) elected, problem is too many uninformed voter. I'm afraid the 'liberal' cancer is out of control.
